Not at all. I myself trained in TKD and entered Full contact events based on that knowledge with modest success. It wasn't until i took up Muay Thai more seriously that i retrospectively re-examined my earlier strategies and saw the flaws inherent in the transformation. So not 'dissing' your mate but offering my pennies worth of critique.
