There's no beef, never was one! Sermon is in awe of Rakim, loves him. And I love both these brothers, so much so that I want sermon to produce Rakim's next album, collaborate - it would be so fucking Dope. Both have given props to each other on youtube - so c'mon, let's hear the best collab of 2012!!!
Interesting. Glad that EPMD and Rakim squashed that beef. You know, one of the few things that I never loved about hip hop was all the beefs and battles. Personally, I think its all nothing but childish nonsense and a cheep was to rise and sell records which is just as bad as crossing over. Hail hip hop unity.
you see how eric sermon smashed all the critics with that bullshit about how the streets started that shit? that's the difference between the 80's hip-hop versus todays punk ass, fake plastic,no rapping, shitty ass beats of today. you see how that same type of he say,she say, they say shit caused beef between the east & west coast? rappers today would go out and attempt to kill one another behind shit like this. we as a people at times are our own worse enemy. greed, stardom, & money will do it.
I will say this...one thing that gave EPMD staying power is that they were just a couple of regular ass too cool for school types...Erick always seemed very humble.
you are not lyn i seen you in my area on 125th and we were going to the same store call stop 1! and i said hi and you pay respect....word bk to the fulllest
EPMD should come together to make one last album called *Mind Your Business* and they should use that album to speak about their personal differences amongst each other.
Classic Hip Hop story, I knew about the verse Rakim did aimed Kane on Follow The Leader, (a verse he later erased, and only left a hint of on the final recording), but I NEVER knew about the other verse addressing the EPMD thing, til I saw this footage! Shows how lyrically skilled the Lyrical God Rakim is, and how subliminal he can be when he wants to be! Great Footage, too bad the interviewer interrupted his story to tell hers!
Smh at your infantile insults. You see sh*t, if I may call you by your 1st name...I moved past 'yo Mama' jokes in 3rd grade when I sent a classmate to the nurses office.
Now, since this whole discussion (if I should even call it that, being that I'm typing to a piece of fecal matter) was based on a critique of (maybe your a homosexual and got offended) Erick Sermon, and then incorrectly identified as a "lisp." Let me help you out by allowing you a change to stfu while you still can. lol
I rather use a "played term" (which defines you completely) than to call myself sh*ttySh*t69? smh Your name speaks volumes on everything from your sexual preference to your creditability/value.
You haven't realized that you couldn't win an argument with me yet? Especially when you were moronic enough to draw 1st blood? I'm proud to have rented so much space in that minuscule cerebral of yours. lol
@shittyshit69 .... It seems I struck a nerve? Priceless for someone who is "irrelevant." You see, the difference between me and you is that I don't hide behind words like f*g and poser ... I demonstrate my mental prowess by shutting down net wanksters like you.
Have a nice day and don't forget to clean your sh*tty keyboard. ;-)
@shittyshit69 .... very apparent you can't read. Ironic though, since your name points out where your words must come from. I suggest you remove your lips from your anal region, then you can end the habit of talking sh*t. ;-)
i kinda miss little subliminal beefs like that cause it was on some skill shit, u know...just on wax....even tho the epmd rakim shht wasn't serious....but nowadays niggaz wanna buck for nothing...they can't even take a magazine talking bad about their work...haaa....funny
