we have to remember that federer and nadal are five years apart...it is only natural that nadal has the edge now. let us wait and see if nadal is dominating his 22-year old rivals when he is 27 years old
miami vice look alike federer was in a state of shock at the australian open he cried because he cant beat nadal. the sook federer was lucky nadal was injured because he would have been stuck on 13 slams. nadal owns federer 13 to 7 and 5 to 2 in slams nadal will get back his number one. what about federer at wimbledon never before in the history of tennis i saw a player look like a karate fighter? he looked like don johnston miami vice hes a desrcase to the sport arogant prick!
nadal is the greatest of all time for a 22 year old. michael chang is the youngest slam winner at age 17, but young achievements do not equal to life time accomplishments. so i'll agree that nadal is effing amazing, but keeping up that level of play will be a challenge
sampras won 5 of his 14 slams not as the world no.1, federer did it 4 times out of 14, i'd say they are pretty even when it comes to winning slams while not ranked as the king of the game.
sorry tv program you got it wrong nadal to win all 4 slams this year and to equal the greatest player ever laver it has been 40 years since a lefty did it it is time this year nadal has the momentum the guts the stamina the mind the shots to do it sampras is great one of the greats laver is the greatest if nadal does the slam he will be close to laver if does the slam twice he will equal laver laver mised out on his prime federer will miss out this year 13 might be his lucky number
if it wasn't for nadals injury miami vice karate looking federer would have been stuck on 13 slams. nadal was going to win all 4. nadal owns federer 13 to 7. if federer is the greatest nadal owns the greatest 5 to 2 in slam head to head.
nobody gives a damn about ifs or buts, if federer had a good back he will have beaten nadal at wimbledon last year and at australia this year, sonobody looks at head to head, Federer has won the most grandslams in history than gay looking nadal.
so all of a sudden you are saying what you feel will happen.Even if Nadal owns him 25 to 10, if he has the most number of grandslams he is still the greatest of all time.
too many if's in that sentence.....i dont give a shit if nadal owns a 3000-0 record against federer, federer has 15 majors and nadal has 6, doesnt matter how good you are against one person but rather be consistant with everyone. his peer's, past legends, AND nadal himself said he was the best....period!!! doesnt matter what we say, theyre opinion is what counts. nadal used up his body to just take the #1 ranking off of federer for less than a year....deserving but fed's back on top AGAIN!!!
lendl played 1978 until 1994. borg, villas, connors, mcenroe, becker, wilander, edberg, cash, agassi, sampras, courier, stich, chang, etc= grand slam champions. lendl made it to 19 slam finals won 8 lost 11. federer had a easy life the sook cried because he cant beat nadal. federer is not the greatest because you must dominate your main rival. federer would have not won all these slams if he was playing in lendls era. nadal owns karate champion federer 13 to 7 that is a big margin!
well have those ppl you just mentioned said federer is the greatest. i have nothing further to tell you...like theman said "wait when nadal is 27(if hes even playing then)and see how he plays against the 22 year olds...all im saying
federer is in a state of shock he cant beat nadal nadal 24/7 in federers head federer thought he was the greatest that is why he needed no coach federer should have remebered their is not many grand slam champions to challenge him when he was winning them now theirs nadal who owns him 13 to 6 sampras said federer should come in more to the net when he plays nadal sorry sampras federer is not sampras to do that courier said to be the greatest you must dominate your generation spot on!
what you have to remember is nadal is a formdable force but he is beatable he barely won wimbledon last year and federer has nothign to lose now this is why hes going to be more dangerous now. the aussie open final he had chances but his serve everyone even nadal fans have to admit it was a horrid serve that day. had he served well he may have won that match.
Since Federer and Sampras are born 10 years apart...it's easy to compare by years. For argument's sake let's leave out. Pete's 1991 US OPEN out (he won at age 19).
1993-1999 = Sampras won 12 Grand Slams
2003-2009 = Federer won 13 Grand Slams. as time goes on Federer's chances grow even slimmer. It may be NADAL who will be the overall Grand Slam title holder (age 22)
i agree with you that nadal is able to do this but the field is alot strogner these days on the hard courts he stuggles with murray soon he will have to rely on clay and grass and with his knees and his style of play that isnt good
you mean a 10 year span. You cant just pick and choose. All sampras' win at 19 means is that he was better at a younger age, and a win at 31 might mean he was better at an older age, while Fed was a little more dominant(or consistent) for a specific 4 year span, which can be attributed to many factors including slower courts that force a more one dimensional game, making it easier for the top player to win most slams.

so are you saying when federer retires and nadal own him 25 to 10 that federer will be still called the greatest of all time?

whats even amazing with Fed is that Sampras won all his majors in a 13 year span, While Fed is about to do it in a 7 year span.
Oh and by the way thanks to that pesky Nadal he's lost 3 at French Open Finals.
I only watch tennis because of Federer.
