Well obviously it's ompissoble in real-time ;-)

It's done in post-production, you take the recording of the drum, put a reverb on it, cut out the reverberation .. reverse it, and stick it in front of the sound of the drum hitting. :-)

Of course that is the manual way, there's plugins and stuff for doing it automagically.
