i think the 850 for the is flywheel horsepower, not rear wheel horsepower, 850rwhp would be like.. 1100hp at the flywheel... not possible from a 6L engine unless its turbo or supercharged.

I'm not sure, i'll check it now... the 2006 FXX is rated at 789HP, probably wheel, while the EVO FXX is rated at 860BHP, probably around 830-840 at the wheel

if its a manafacturer quoted figure it will almost always be flywheel (aka engine) horsepower, and 860bhp would only be about 640-690hp at the wheels.

Not between the brakes and wheels, between the flywheel and wheels.

Most is lost in the Gearbox and diff, its worse in automatics because of the stall converter.

Brake horsepower is the measure of an engine's horsepower without the loss in power caused by the gearbox, generator, differential, water pump, and other auxiliary components such as alternator, power steering pump, muffled exhaust system.

It is done on the flywheel, with no auxilliaries attatched to the engine.

The term brake is not used to describe the power at the rear or front brakes. although this would still be around 10% more than at the tyres due loss of energy into heat through frictional resistance between the road and tyres.
