not much of this reputation is deserved. i do not like pitbulls at all, but heres what i think.
pitbulls will become aggressive and dangerous if their owners abuse them, and if they are raised very poorly. this does give them their bad reputation, because even though every dog can be dangerous, not every dog can rip your face off.
on the other hand, once a pitbull is raised well and treated well, they are great dogs. so it all depends on the perspective of each person
