@bossishendi no dude its your life points so basically his limit would be 7900 life points unless you have cards that can replenish your life points...its not the monsters attack points a good risky card but i prefer obelisk

@kellykellylover22 No it means that the atk and def are equal to the amount of life points you give up. Ra's effect of spells and traps not being activated the turn its summoned is good. But unless you get an OTK Ra sucks. I'd go with Obelisk.

it the whole duel at my towns yugioh tournament but they may be wrong i do'nt know but you can't trust the wiki it says you can get back Ra's cost with prime martial dragon and that's wrong so you cant just go on what the wiki says

Nah, I asked someone in a tournament to ask the instructor and said only when summoned so it is actually one turn!

Everything about this card is correct expect for 3 mistakes. (1)The card#. GBI-003 is the card# of a RA promo card. (2) the copyright is not 2010 1996 only 1996. (3) In the lower left corner there is no listed number. On a real playable Ra card, the corner is blank. These mistakes mark this example as a fake.

@geekeing DUH! it has to be a fake! This video was posted on Feb 6, 2010! The card comes out, in english, in 2011! This year! Both the picture and effect is real. The numbers seen at the bottom is to mark it as a preview of what the card will be.

Only when the card is summoned, no one can activate anything to counter it.

@Deceptasewell it means just when it's summoned. so yo can't trap hole(or in ra's case, eatgaboon) the thing, but you can use mirror force, blast held by tribute, etc. when it attacks.

This new Ra sucks for a few reasons:

1. It can be targeted by spells traps and monster effects after it has been summoned.

2. It has no attack or defense until you sacrifice life points

3. It can't be special summoned (which was its most powerful feature in the show and original design)

It looks kick ass, but the effect sucks. It's only good for collecting at this point.

@DeckControler The old Winged Dragon of Ra was far from invincible if you played your cards right, but it did have some great effects. And yes you could summon it because that stupid chant was only for the show, and it too could be special summoned for one turn before going back to the graveyard. Ra also gained the sum of the atk and def of each monster used to summon it, and couldn't be targeted by spells, traps, or monster effects just the like legal Obelisk. Not invincible, but very strong

@Shadow07Warrior1989 the old one didnt have a effect it told you a story about ra and as it seems almost every level 12 monster needs 3 tributes and its atk was????im sure u cant atk some one with????because it was never explaned meaning it was not ment to be in a deck back then just a collectable.plus tv effects usually change not the old ra the old ra was techaly a nomal monster not an effect monster and at the botom of the card it said it could not be used.thanks for the conversation though:)

@DeckControler Yeah, that's assuming that you played literally according to the rules. Most people would use it anyway, like just in duels against their friends or such away from tournaments. As long as you know its effects you can use it. Most of the effects are taken from the show and used just for sport. Yeah, all the gods had no effect, and Obelisk was the only one who had any attack whatsoever. You you're right, but according tot he show, Ra was really good if you went by those effects.

This is real. Slifer hasn't been announced, since it's Yugi's signature God I suppose they saved it for last. It's coming out in Shonen Jump's december issue. To be honest, this card was nerfed pretty bad. I still might build a god deck with it though.

did u know that they might rewrite ra? they are waiting for my final decision. i'm deciding if ra can be special summoned, but with the condition that it needs to be normal summoned first. btw they added effect that this card can't be targeted by monster, spell, and trap cards.

I can't wait until I get my hands on this. I thought it gained the ATK equal to the ATKs of the tributed monsters, but this seems like a cooler effect. A couple Dian Keto's and Solemn Wishes and Ra can keep blowing up your opponents monsters and striking directly for massive damage (magic cylinder WILL kill you, though, unless you have trap jammer)

yes ra is supposed to gain attack equal to the attack of the tributed monsters but i guess they had to take that effect away because that would probably make it too strong. it was released in japan via vjump and should be coming to good o'l america soon via shonen jump promo. i was looking foward to ra having that effect but, hey he will still cool to have especially since i missed the volume where obelisk the tormentor was the promo T__T
