I have a question im gonna buy a n97 (:D) but it's from september and it's all new. It has the old hardware but it is never connected to a computer. What do i have to do to get all the updates and stuff. Answer fast plzz

My N97 no longer connects to my PC at all. It's done for, my "multimedia computer" is a crippled piece of plastic.

my n97 works great have it for 3 months now, sometimes freezes but overall GPS a little slow other than that it works perfectly

Should Nokia have a recall? I believe it should, since many of the N97's are having manufacturing issues.

My phone's issues:

-restarts on its own

-the auto lock acts up sometimes

-i have the flash flood problem (Google it N97 flash flood problem)

-the lens cover scratches the camera lens

-the metal around the screen is becoming loose

-freezes and I have to take out the battery in order to get it to work

-GPS is an atrocity

- the touch screen stops responding (qwerty works though) and I have to turn it off

I bought it directly from Nokia, maybe I got a faulty unit, idk, go ahead and reply and post your problems.

Should a 700 dollar phone have such problems? N95's camera never had flash flood!

@mave2dbl07 Yeah man. Sorry to hear. I mean it would be acceptable if Nokia was new in the field of telecommunications, but they're not, and such errors, specially the design errors are insulting.

I had that problem but with a voice mail, I had no new voice mails and it kept on telling me I had a new one. Took out battery, took out SIM card, turned off and on many times, until it finally went away, weeks later.

n97 is realy stupid

so slow and sometime i have to restart it when the screen stops ...

No I think N97 is great... When it works..

My phone has been repaired for bad software that didn't work.. And the actual touch screen didn't work in a whole week!!

But I haven't had any of your other problems.. And after this software update (2.0)

It is better then iPhone.

lately I've had trouble with the charger. It fails to detect it. I guess it's time to send it back to Nokia

yea i got it, i went in to a Nokia care because the lens on my n97 got scratched by the stupid lens cover and i also complained because of the software problems and when I got it back i had the 2.0 software i even had a branded phone and now it has the generic software

When will this be available for the UK? I keep checking daily and only just got v12. =/ Weird as nsu said the latest fw for me is v11 and it's the same on the Nokia website.

@dragonzxx it mite be only available in Finland atm give it an hour or 2 so the updates can reach your Countries Nokia Servers if Nokia has that type of System implace to avoid their server from being congested and provent Network crashes
