  • Do U Think everyone will have tall GRASS this year? I do

  • sorry but KHOLER is a piece of shit a have 5 GENERACS all i do is oil change a family member of mine have KHOLERS on his TORO and Z and all he does is fix complaint and rebuild they are good for residential mowers but dont depend on KHOLER to make your bread and butter or you endup eating SHIT with no butter

  • Never buy a USED MOWER! You have no idea who owned it or what it was used for & been through! Surely no one would do this to their own mower! This mower must be RENTED!

  • @jor99912 You've never mowed foreclosures, 5 feet tall grass, with a wal-mart push mower. would have loved this (zero-turn)to mow that

  • smaller cats{perkins} suk.....to new on the market.....why do u think ferris stoped using them.....yanmar turbo!and they need to scrap that guardian(generac) n go back to kohler

  • I would hate to do this to a Dixie Chopper or any mower! Like general Tecumseh Sherman,s march through Dixie! Rough on Dixie, and it's own self. But just because its rated commercial, doesn't mean it's INDESTRUCTIBLE. I would HIRE or RENT a Sickle Mower. Then use my Dixie Chopper for what it was designed to do. (MOWING). not CHOPPING!

As a Lawn Mower it will LIVE, a lot, longer1

  • what I do for grass this heavy is I use an MF 175 with a Howse rough cut mower. then I use a JD F525 46" mower

  • What problem did bad boy mowers have with thier engine pans?

  • nuthin special, in fact reaaly slowww

  • I like my Kubota Diesel and my Hustler too !!

  • I hate deck mowers especially over priced ones like dixie choppers. Why would anyone pay up to 10 grand for a little deck mower that has a gas engine? Go see a golf course implement dealer and pick up a used mower for half the price with a 50 to 100 horse power diesel that can cut 10 to 20 acres an hour. The golf course line will have every blade on its own deck so it can float and handle grade changes with perfect precision without scalping.

  • Man I love this video! You need to make another video... I wish I had the money to buy me a dixie chopper

  • That's some Chopper power right there, but i thing those big tractor mower things that hook on to tractor would be better for that, because that is some tall grass!

  • I can honestly say that I've cut taller grass than that with my Hustler Super Z. Has the 60" deck w/ 31 hp Kawasaki... Dixie Chopper makes a good mower too. Parts are pretty expensive for the Dixies though.

  • My little 42 inch snapper yard cruser does that every year for my church.

  • your gonna hit a stump doing that and its going to cost you tripple the money the customer was going to pay you to fix your Dixie. Its only common sense dude, but if you wanna bend spindles pulleys and blades have at it.

  • with you all the way. had to do that on my grandpa's property and i was usuing a husky but rented a dixie and had the rest done in about 2 weeks. he had 20 acres like what your doing

  • thats not how you use a 0 turn! you have to go as fast as it will go and expect a perfect cut!

  • only time I've had an issue with outs is when the discharge guard is down, but that's expected

  • Why not use the appropriate machine for this job? Which would be a tractor. Probably took about 100 hours life off the mower in 9 minutes.

  • @NeilLB7 This just goes to show you that maybe you need to take some time to really do your home work, although I wouldn't recommend this for any machine did it take the life of the Dixie Away? NOT AT ALL! if you take the time to listen to the machine as it is cutting you cannot hear too much strain on the motor or the blades, this was just a way to show people that they have that ability if they choose to use it. Sorry you feel that way.

  • Only real men dare to tame a Dixie!

  • The Arkansas prison system purchased some of these mowers because of their power and durability. Before that they had John Deere tractors with the mower decks under them which didn't last that long since they had to mow over 100 acres of land. The Dixie Chopper at the unit where I worked mowed fields, the sides of roads, and inside the fence line the entire compound of of three centers on this compound which was more a ranch with horses and cattle.

  • my old snapper could tackle that crap

  • This is a Dixie Chopper at work!!! Wow that's is tall grass

  • i love dixie chopper we changed the tires to terf tires though

  • @toro74449 nothing better than Toro or Honda. premature ejaculation

  • dixie is the best they cut really good dont let the tires fool you if you know how to drive it the only bad thing about dixie takes alot to maintain and the motor sucks

kohler and Generac if dixie is contracted with Kawasaki Motor then it is the number one mower out there right now its Hustler there deck and solid and there packing Kawasaki motor kohler is a junk motor always breaking down

  • I have the 2750hp and it has taken down 7' tall grass here in FL In fact I mow empty fields with it no problem

  • sounds like theres a rock or something in that small puff or grass b/c when he mowed that part I heard the blades hitting something.

  • He'd do better to rent a tractor and bush hog to cut that high vegetation. Those Z-turn mowers are meant for residential grass and turf.

  • @InfiniteMushroom You are right, however I have had a few of my customer buy the Dixie's Xcail and with 74 inch deck just to mow their fields, don't ask me why but they all say it is because it is so powerful. Know a horse rancher that bought one to do is pasture for his horse to run in, he has used his for cleaning fields and even though he has a bush hog, reason? have no idea but he loves his Dixie!

  • @pstcompany its faster than a tractor and a bushhog

  • @pstcompany There is a reason for horse ranchers to mow their pastures with small mowers, the horses will not eat tall grass (4-6 inches). They like the short stubby stuff. Where with a brush hog you cant get that short. So you are forced to get something smaller.

  • @HisWayFarm u can use a finish mower.....(non gator blades)o.e.m. high-lifts.

  • @InfiniteMushroom ...Damn, I think he needs to sharpen those blades.

  • Badboy is where its at. 35hp Caterpillar diesel

  • @mikescottwood Yes powerful motor now Dixie has the same motor, did Badboy fix their engine pans yet?

  • we got a dixie chopeer classic vtwin 27 horsepower this thing is unstopable

  • love my dixie chopper i beat it to hell and still going strong

  • its all about the operator on dixie's if you run it like exmark/toro,johndeere,scag, or hustler you will in deed do a spin out. You have too be easy on the turns. its all on the buyers choice and likes.

  • What is the name of the soundtrack song?

  • Dixie Choppers are very poorly made. There is not one thing i like about them. Tires suck they tear up grass spindles suck and the center of gravity is wayy to high they cant go up hills. I would love you to post a vid of you going up a 30 degree incline and going across it sideways

  • OMG! are you real? Come on man don't be a fool! we will wait till this summer and show you just that and a whole lot more. Of course after reading more of your post your opinions don't mean much when you are trying to plug TORO's an Exmark! Lets get real man, Poor Business!

  • i do ditches that are 40 degree full speed no problems up is down it across it

  • @pstcompany is that a classic i got a dixie chopper classic man i just got done mowing like 7 inches of grass without a problem in michigan where i live you have to mow every other week and i havnt mowed in like 3 good thing it has a 27 hp v twin

  • @joeldude76 Yes sorry about the delay, but it is a Classic

  • @toro74449 no zero turn can go over a 15 degree incline dumb ass not even tractortors Dixie's are the best there is

  • @toro74449 u hav to know wat ur doin inorder to not tear up the yard

  • You are sadly misinformed Toro makes a good mower, and to be honest have owned them, and you couldnt give me a free Toro that would cut as good as this does. So pretty much your comment is about useless.

  • @pstcompany Agreed, I own a Dixie and have spent a lot of time on a Toro. I would go with the Dixie anyday! The Toro does cut well but I personally think the Dixie cutts a lot better. The steering on the Dixie is a lot better, its more sensitive but once you get used to it you love it.

  • Really the blades didn't take any punishment, and is one of the reasons we did this video, I don't care what anyone says, this mower will mow some lawn! Just Look at how it is kicked out of the discharge? no problems there

  • @pstcompany It sure will, and with 39hp engines you can't get any better. I purchased a John Deere Z445 for my personal use, but if I had the money I would have gotten a Dixie Chopper myself. It has a stainless steel frame which is the best in the industry. This is the only mower the state has which is so dependable.

  • @pstcompany Ya know i was looking at john deere and also scag, but after this i think im pretty sold. What yer mowing is impressive that tall of grass is stuff i would usually mow with farm tractor. what is the warrenty on these like ?

  • I pitty the blades..... and the fool (that has to change them)

  • Imagine if that would've been one with the 36hp CAT Diesel engine.
