plus the girl that was carrying bens baby was really warning Vivian about who ben really is she does,nt want to see her dead aswell all the dead people can come alive in that house the doctor experimented on most of his people that visited his house now they are after ben to send him back to the 19s + ben say "i not giving up on this family!" which the doctor said the same thing. this is what i think ben is the doctor from the 19s Vivian will give birth to the child that was killed by the mad doctor, the man with the disfigured face was one of the doctors victims and because ben is already dead he can see ghosts even though he walk in the world of the living he,s the one that will try and kill his family just like he did in 19s it makes seance i think that why why saw the wife of the doctor talking to ben before and that why at the start of ep 1 Vivian defending herself
