the window opening feature is a bad idea .. better to turn it off .. i once ended up with the interior full of snow in my passat just cuz the key pressed against smth in my pocket

Taking friends with you is also a bad idea, I once had a friend that opened the moonroof while the car was buried in a meter of snow......

No way with my car is a 525i/04 I can lower the glasses and open sunroof but to close I have to insert the key in the door and turn to close all. Do you know another way ??

I'm going to guess you're in the US. Our American spec cars have this feature disabled because of safety concerns.

Yes maybe is the reason that I can't close it with the remote only.  I need to use the key , insert and turn it to close it. Thanks you very much.

I have to check in my car because to close windows I need to put the key in the door and then turn , I am going to try to press the key emblen like you. Mine is a 525i/04 maybe is to old let see. Thanks.

It should work, my friend got it on his 1996 7-series, so a 2004 5-series should have it also.
