Fruit, vegetables, and meat are important in the hamsters diet. But it is important NOT to feed a hamster Citrus Fruit(oranges,Lemons, Etc.)or lettuce. You can't feed them Citrus Fruit because there is acid in them that can cause death, and you can feed them lettuce (or cellory Etc.) because it gets caught in their throught causing them to choke on it.

It is always important to use the pellets and regular pet food. Some good treats are cooled cooked chicken, and sunflower seeds. but not to many
