  • OK I'm getting sick of it.You lot have gone WAY OTT ! This is my channel and kindly keep political crap & OFF IT ! No more comments on racisim, who is Scottish who isn't & cut out the bad language ! THIS IS NOT AN OPEN DISCUSSION THREAD OK ? TOPIC CLOSED !

  • @graham1281 It's the Election. Still, Scottish politics are getting as noisy as Irish ones. (Republic, thankfully, we're nowhere near as bad as unionist ireland.)

It will pass when things are finally decided.

Thanks for the music. This is lovely and relaxing. I don't understand how people can get their dander up while listening to something as sedate as this.

  • Thanks, For the comment this nonsense has been going on for ages though. Damn all to do with elections Grrrrrrrrrrr

  • 100% Scottish no mix and I am American born and raised, I am a Ferguson! My mums side was Wallace! So fucking say something to that. • long life to the whole world, to the good people and good tradition, a native of the world crazy to see a real positive change of the humanitive!

  • prould to be scottish and i will die scottish

  • @ryan15066

I'm not saying all Scottish people are insensitive, b ut on that particular day they were. So you are telling me feeling bitter about the incident is being racist? Ok I should not blame all Scots, and I don't. THe accident really shook me up, and I felt the emergency services just could not be asked. Maybe it was just bad luck. My experience was real. I'm sure most of the time they are not this insensitive, but I cannot change what happened. I wish I could.

  • @ryan15066

Ok sure, my helmet and protective clothing saved my life, but I was more psychologically shook up than anything.

  • @ryan15066

Look what happened happened, I can;t change that. I just want to forgive and forget, ok. I'm not racist, I was really really shook up as a visiting American in Scotland.

  • @ryan15066

I guess what I was expecting from the Scottish police I did not get. I was hoping they would pat me on the back and say, 'Its ok lad! WE'll take good care of you. Would you like an ambulance?' Instead, this is what I got.

'You look ok to me. Please get your motorbike off the road!'

Its like. 'Hello, Mr Scottish Officer. I just got hit! I'm losing my mind here.'

    They didn't seem too bothered.

  • I was born in the county of Angus, live here still and will die here!

  • Here too?

  • Wow big change from beith to Arazona ive family there but Scotlands for me all the way love it. Dont forget where you came from pal. And for the love of god dont get a yank accent!

  • aricht, ah'll keep it Scoattish LOL

  • @GALJR32 no chance of a yank accent,I'm 52 now so too late for a change, nearly everyone out here doesn't have a clue when I speak ha ha.

  • @GALJR32

Taps him on shoulder. Psssdsss Dude, I need a quiet word with you.

Now don't get upset, but could you please stop using the word 'yank.' Its a racist term to Americans, and we don't like it.

I wouldn't call the Scottish racist names so please reframe from doing it to Americans. No hard feelings dude. I just get sensitive to the word 'Yank.' It sends needles up and down my spine. *Pats him on back. Thank you for understanding, and good wishes.'

  • @pluto4847 y would u want to say rasist things about scottish people u would get stamped on by us up hear m8

  • @ryan15066

I never said anything racist against a Scot. I'm not racist, just a little weary of Scotland as a whole. You would be too if you were a hit and run victim in Crieff as a visiting tourists, head first in a pit, and nobody stops for you or calls 999. THey just forget you exist. So I'm not racist. I'm just disappointed in the people of Crieff. Well I can't blame everybody, but its quite ok to feel shell shocked over the incident. Take care my friend. Don't read into it.

  • @ryan15066

Just to prove I'm not lying. I remember it quite well. It was June 10th 2004 on my way back from Morrisons at Crieff. A Ford Focus hit my motorbike, left the scene, and I crawled back to my guest house cos nobody gave a shit.

  • born/raised in Beith,Ayrshire ,I'm in sunny Arizona 4 years now

  • Wish I could say the same about the highlands LOL

  • @scotsmaninusa

I've been in Sunny Arizona for 61 years but the "spirit of Scotia" runs in my blood.

One of my great great granfathers came to the United States from Scotland.

  • @scotsmaninusa Kilbirnie Ladeside beat Beith in the cup last week. The last time they did that was 77 when wee Sconie won it for them.I know they Garnock Valley. Its a bit like a desert for jobs.So you swapped one for another.Good luck to you out there. But things might change there soon.SNP got in around the time you left. With any luck they will get in again. If it can happen there it can happen anywhere.Labour had always been in before, even though they killed the industry there with the Torys.

  • Scottish pride. My heart yearns for a "touch" of Scotland again. Thank you. Beautifully done. P.S. As immigrants to San Francisco my family is now a mix of white, brown, yellow, red and black - but all grand, great & great grandchildren are "Scottish."

  • Thanks very much indeed, it was a very enjoyable track to record.

  • @scouterjim:

  • @TESFOREVER Scottish American? your one or the other...American not Scottish..you may have Scottish heritage but that doesn't make you Scottish

  • @username1me You are wrong, people that are born in America that are are Italian are called Italian Americans and I am born in America from Scottish parents so I am Scottish American.

  • Comment removed

  • @TESFOREVER You're American it's that simple!

  • @TESFOREVER so you were born in Scotland then moved to America? thats what that comment suggests,,i hate Americans who claimn to be Scottish,,fk off weith ur im Irish/Scots scots/italian bullshit your as Scottish as Yorkshire pudding,,even the English are more Scottish than you American pretenders,if your wondering why i say that they live on the same shores side by side with us you lot are ulterior .Alba Gu Brath!

  • @username1me yes we are American Scot's,please rember that our country is very young so we still have things passed down to us such as Clan pride and so much more. The key is to rember the U.S. is only 240 years old and we hold to our heritage still.be glad to know that you have family and kin world wide and us American Scot's wont be such a bother to ya ,Slan

  • Alba gu brach!

  • Thanks, I think

  • fantastic brought a huge tear to my eye , very very moving , thank you kindly for this.

  • My pleasure, sorry about the delay in replying

  • I have just listened to Bob Finlay singing this, so had to listen to your rendition of this great song. Brings a lump to my throat, Graham.

    Beautiful!!!!

  • Thanks it's a very stirring song and appeals to Scots at home as well as ex pats

  • wow....

  • Thanks

  • Beautiful, really lovely. I have never been to Scotland, hope to see it someday. Way back in the 60's, went to live with my grandparents in the big city of Toronto. My grandfather was from Aberdeen, he was the first male in my life to make me feel special, I mattered, wonderful man who taught me Robbie Burns, the fling, etc, thanks for bringing back these special memories for me, someday, hopefully, will see all the things he loved and told me about.

  • Thanks very much for that. I'm afraid one Scottish city is much the same as the other these days. They've lost their individual charm due to the various 'chain store' developments. Such a shame.

  • Your music always stirs me and often makes me so emotional I can't hold back the tears. Makes me proud to know ye.

  • You should be thankful you don't live closer, I'd be pestering you all the time for lessons LOL

  • Thanks Graham,

I played this in a tent in middle of desert in Saudi Arabia.....18 different nationalities present, they all loved it....thanks again for posting!

But In memories still they remaln

So proud to be in a land that's free

    ONCE MORE O'SCOTLAND FOR EVER
