All hail JC!!! The SICKEST performance Ive ever seen by Jimmy was with Zwan in 2003.

(in fact, it was actually the best drum performance I've ever witnessed, beating out tool, dave matthews band, mars volta, and queens of the stone age with Dave Grohl)

If you listen to that record, and especially if you saw him perform live, you see that the entire record's drumming is actually a jimmy chamberlin mega solo. In my opinion, he is the sickest drummer of all time!!!

Jimmy is just a beast. so underrated. DEFINITELY one of my major influences on drums. there isnt any drummers out there that sound like him. one of the things I love about him the most is that he uses the hi hat pedal when doing fills and snare rolls, making it sound like hes lightly tapping it. perfect example is in silverfuck, when billy is singing on the quiet part where jimmy is wailing on the toms.

While Peart is a legendary speed demon drummer, I find he occasionally produces some irregular drum noise on solos which the average crowd doesn't catch. I haven't found that with Jimmy ever, I may be wrong. All well placed sounds.

Peart isn't actually that fast. He's got great hands, but if you watch him play a single stroke roll, he maxes out an a pretty average speed.

Jimmy's hands are extremely fast, and it's probably his body type. This solo isn't really a speed solo...listen to quiet, or "the fill" in Ode to No One and you'll hear that Jimmy's got speed like Donati
