I made a Tennis Racquel Banjo following Dennis Havlena's instructions two years ago (on youtube - Scottish Tennis Racquet Banjo) You have inspired me to fit a headstock and fingerboard to the racquet I just bought ! Compliments, applause and respect for a great build !
Just to be perfectly clear, you are talking about the song before the tennis ball part, right? If you send me your email address in a youtube message, I'll record a version of it and email it to you.
VERY NICE......INDEED !

Thanks! Both of the songs were played on the tennis racquet. I wrote the first one and the second one is based on the intro of a Modest Mouse song.

where do u get those fret boards???
musiclover7513 4 months ago
@musiclover7513
It is a mandolin fretboard from Stewart-Macdonald (an online luthier supplier). I trimmed it to size because they come about 2 inches wide.

pure genius. as a kid, many of us play a tennis racquet pretending its a banjo. you made that childhood fantasy come true

Lol, your DIY instruments are awesome. Any further plans to make a stringed instrument out of a common object?

Someone gave me a vintage metal bedpan. It’s been done before, but I’m using it to make a tenor ukulele.
