Poles! For god sake, why do you keep calling Western Belarus Poland? You occupied it only in 1921. Never ever ever before Brest, Hrodna, or Slonim were Polish. It was Polish for only 18 years - that's it. And those cities are actually 800-900 years old. C'mon, admit it!

My point is, that (present day) Western Belarus, was, at one time, during the rule of King Jagello, and for centuries after Jagello, Poland. Militarily Poland. Politically Poland. The statement 'for only 18 years' is not, at least, geographically correct.

@rjpancerniCAUSA Can you please tell me which exactly cities in Litva were Poland in 1400? And how they were different from say Polotsk, Mogilev, or Smolensk (nowadays in Russia). The division into Western and Eastern Belarus never existed until Poland militarily occupied lands to Stolbcy in 1919. If you claim Belarus was Poland in 1400, then you should claim that cities like Kiev and Polotsk were also Poland, because they were part of Litva at that time. Don't limit yourself, claim New York :-)

Since Jagello was a Lithianian prince, and since he never learned Polish in his life, and since all the churches that were built during his reign had a clear Byzantine (i.e. Orthodox) look and feel, maybe it was the other way around - maybe Poland became a part of Litva? So, Krakow is legitimately a historical Belarusian land? Sounds logical. Eastern Poland is Belarus! Especially since Masovians had the same origin as Litvins (and rest is Prussia :)

And why for the most of time between those two dates Poland and Litva had completely different rulers? Open Union of Krewo in Wikipedia, this might answer some of your questions. I am Orthodox, but in our lands religion doesn't matter.

@Woloh Because dynastic monarchy ended for Poland and Litva with death of last hereditary king. Union of Lublin truly was 'republican' (not the political party) type of united kingdom(s). Nobles of both kingdoms agree to form one state, politically as opposed to 'divine right'.  German Emperor and Russian 'Emperor' hated Union of Lublin type of government. With an elected king, this may be considered a predecessor to U.S. constitutional republic (after U.S. Revolutionary War).

In battle of Warsaw Polish forces defeated 5 Soviet Armies, 3 of them were totally anihilated, Tuchatschevsky retreated, Lenin beged for peace. You got right it was not kicking you. It's sad that you replay German propaganda movies... Cavalry was used to move thruout the country which hadnt much roads... We had one of the best tanks in the world (second after Czechs) but their number was only like 500, PZL Łoś best bomber in the 1939! We had anti-tank riffles that could shoot thrue german tanks! But all small in quantity because it was only 21 years after gaining independence after WWI where Poland was battlefield for german and russian fights.
