First two battles on the side of Atanta Alliance (Russia, UK, France, Serbia) were won by Serbia on mountain Cer and river Kolubara, capturing 120 000 Austro-Hungarian soldiers.
Also in 1918 just in 2 mounts Serbian andvancing army from Greece forced Bulgaria and Austro-Hungary to surrender.
Where did Serbia get her weapons and the artillery from?? Surely they weren't manufacturing it themselves? I'm guessing it was bought from the Russians?
im not sure if it mensions all the Austrian deserters who wentr to the Serbs side which grealty contributed to the reason of the early victories. Bosnians, Czechs and even a few Croats deserted the Austro-Hungrarian army to fight with the Serbs, This was mainly due to Pan-Slavisam and their dislike of the Hasburgs.
@lukakiwi True except for Croats. They stood loyal to Austro-Hungarians. They were even volunteers in AH army against the Serbs, commiting atrocities in NW Serbia during brief occupation in1914. Among them the most famous Croat Josip Broz, later known as Tito.
But the part "Serbians fought without the uniform and they so it was hard to know who the real enemy is, so they hanged women and children..." definitely WON! hahaha
I can't think of any scientific, artistic, literary, historical or cultural contributions associated with Serbia.
When someone says Serbia to me I think of Slobodan Milosevic and genocide, wars, famine and UN soldiers stopping neighbours from murdering each other over centuries-old conflict.
If WW1 taught us anything, it's that blind nationalism is stupid and dangerous ... and I worry that we've forgotten the lessons of the past, doomed to repeat them.
@Aika24 You don't have to be so one-sided and narrow of mind. Yes, Milosevic was a Serb and a dictator as well.
BUT, why don't you stop and think for a while about the enormous sacrifice that Serbs made in World War I? 57% of its male population perished in the war!!! No other country suffered nearly as much as this tiny Balkan nation.
In every country, every nation, you can find both the good and the bad.

that is what media did with your brain, you should type that same sentence "scientific, artistic, literary, historical or cultural contributions associated with Serbia." on google and you will see what country with 7000000 people did for the world, you should read about our sportsmen,as you can see and read in every war in history everybody killed serb civilians-austrians and bulgarians, croats and albanians, but yet you believe that we are the nation that is evil, read something before you write
He, he ... English filmmakers are kings of propaganda and English politics is queen of all hookers. If we could only learn some of these things from them.
I do not know what the writter want to say with this pathetic piece of crap.one more propaganda which blame serbs for something we did not do it,start the ww1,for example etc.next time,mr. documentary maker make something what is not meant to cry the children of the age of seven, who do not know history well and try to find some facts, not to tell a fairy tale...and by the way, serbia have the biggest loss in ww1 of all the countries been in war.outrageous
@radedg I think the way the world was going that war was inevitable. the problems with Serbia/Austria Hungary just kicked off what was bound to happen anyway. It started with Serbia wanting her independance which is fair enough but its what all the others did in response to that that started the war. Serbia did not want WW1 just her independence. However, shit happens.....

@lukakiwi
Deserters were not included in battle units, because they were: DESERTERS!
The Croats were already showing their true faces-they were some of the most loyal servants of the empire!
Desertion was just another amongst signs of A-U army falling apart.
Read hard the books of history before spitting nonsence again.
