  • Con las llantas arriba si se puede pero logra eso con el auto en carretera jaja

  • wut upgrades do u have?

  • Try to have video outside chasing corvette or gtr and then I start believing.....

  • U can't fooled me u hang the car with some stupid driver inside then hit the gas all the way.... Every single car can do what it says on speedometer..... Dumb ass.... Come on where not 2 years old here....

  • i like how they programmed it to flash when you reach 199 mph.

just in case you didn't realise you were going that fast.

  • Jealous Face (-.-)

  • I actually have done this on the road. But it takes a bit of tweaking. First off, my transmission has 3.69 FDR gears, and a 38 tooth reluctor wheel, and at the time I had a 2500 stall torque converter. All of these things with a stock PCM cause the speedometer to read 26% too high. For instance, when the HUD says 100, you're actually doing approximately 80. It's possible to display 199, I've done it on the road, but it's also fake.

  • fuckin' kick ass, how much did you spend on modding it?

  • my 2000 grand prix gt (all stock) hit the dyno and maxed out at 195mph. it sounded awesome especially from the outside.

  • @SuperKazra yea a grand prix gt which only has a standard v6 with out a supercharger producing about 200 horsepower did 195mph get a life kid the only person your fooling is your self

  • i love the :37 part WOWAHH!!

  • Funny...

    Take it off the dyno.

Or are you ashamed of how slow your piece if shit American car really is?

  • @jb0177 haha while youre running with a volvo.... so impressive...

  • @jb0177 Grand prixs are actually really good for what they're worth.

  • @jb0177 Fuck off. Our American cars would fit up your ass nicely jackass..

  • you guys are dumb shits...my camaro shot to 200 like nothing on a dyno..on the street its different.

  • the HUD loved it.. nice one man

  • sweeet

  • I have this car and I have to say it "sounds" like you weren't on the road, and it looks like you are in the garage with the hood up? Am i right?

  • @osudiamond retard

  • @osudiamond he was probly on a dyno...

  • @osudiamond do you not read the title of the video?

  • how heavily modded??

  • @ eatout..check your cat' convert...mite be that..good luck.

  • I have a 1998 gtp. I have put in new plugs, spark plug wires, PVC, feul filter and new catalyic coverter and the feul pump is about 3.5 years old. And a new crank shaft censor. While driving at 45 mph, when I give it gas to pass it hesitates like it's out of gas. Check engine likes comes on and resets itself and goes off. Code reads mass air flow censor. I'm going to change it but can it be something else. Someone please help.

  • @EATOUT29 check ya intake

  • DAaaammmmnNMNN!

  • its really easy to manipulate a VSS. I like GP's. my first and current car is a '03 GP GT. but to even think that is is possible with 4T65E don't think so. the tranny case is way to small to get any gear that would go up to 199mph in there..

  • @taftcali The smaller the gear the faster the wheels spin. This is possible on the stock as there is torque converter that can actually have the car spin to those speeds but it won't be possible to brake the wind force therefore this car won't go pass 140-145ish to say the least or it will reach higher speeds in very long times.

  • what all does it have in it ?

  • ha Chris white, haven't seen him since these cars came out years ago.

  • Wow it actually flashes when it gets there LOL

  • did you break the analog speedometer? lol

  • Very nice

  • its on the dyno not to say that car isnt fast but show me 199 on the road nice gtx by the way very sharp car

  • what mods do u have done

  • Look out Lamborghini's and Ferrari's!

  • haha killer!!! like @latemodelmopar93 said, ive always wanted to see somebody do that, and since its a grand prix it makes it even better!!

  • 4T65-E 's came in the auto vettes , still

if the pressure switch crapps the bed

it just sticks in 2nd or 3rd , like the 4L60-E

  • No Corvette ever came with a 4t65 transmission..

  • I have always wanted to see somebody do that,

    Thank you for that video.

    lmao

  • lol, blinking at 199... saying "I CANT GO HIGHER...."

  • You'll never get bum-rushed on the interstate again with this!

  • shift at 155mph.. 3.29 or 2.93 gears? Lol at the hud blinking 199mph

  • To bad you can't go that fast on the road. lol Nice VID

  • @ANG3LOFNOM3RCY maybe so, but it's also pretty standard of most HUDs of the time

  • what tranny is stronger the 4T60-e HD or the 4T65-e HD?.

  • The 4T65-E is substantially stronger but is still not bulletproof in stock form. I blew up one without too much trouble. You can really prolong their lives by not hooking up slicks or drag radial. It's a lot easier on them if the tires are the weak point.

  • @HaloScreamerLoverR95 Yeah i like to play in mine alot , When it rains i slide and spin tires a lil . and the car has 210 k on it . all original parts , trick is i dont dog it .

  • @HaloScreamerLoverR95 Yeah I have always noticed that if you make the tires the week point the tranny last a LOT LONGER . I have a 99 cougar fwd that is stock . And I have doged it on wet tarmac ( about the only thing it will give right on ) and it dont seem to stress the car that much . And with the addition of me always putting royal purple in it .

  • nos bottle was removed at the end of the video thats why it got up there that fast. i love gp's ALOT but i just lost respect for that. i like performance that has none of that nos. im sry

  • this was without. the nos bottle was empty from the run before, just didn't get around to taking it out. This was shot on video tape, then converted to DVD, so there was a minor glitch.

  • I'm willing to bet it hit over 199 mph. I bet it chirps those tires real good when it shifts.

  • Ha ha that reminded me of KIT in Knight Rider

  • imagine all the money he put into that thing...should of bought a better car.

  • I'd laugh my ass off if it launched off the dyno

  • I apologize if anyone saw that last comment I posted (I deleted it) I hit reply to the idiot below me (hockeyman474) and it posted it as if I was commenting on the video - which I was not (though I am quite impressed with the GP regardless of the freewheel)

@hockeyman474 You fail. That pretty much sums it up. Have a nice day!

  • REAL american muscle prevails

  • Rofl, Quiet you fag.

  • FAKE! unless thats a drag car there was no resistance even hitting 199. Just ran straight through the numbers no problem. FAKE

  • it's on a dyno...l0l less resistance

  • your point? the engine would not just jump that high resistance or no. the engine would stuggle to go higher but this one had no problem

  • wow you are pretty damn ignorant. do you not hear the dyno noise in the background? and see that the hood is up? maybe the indoor echo? nothing? Christ go buy a civic and be done with it

  • car should still have resistance when it approaches top speed. go buy a civic what does that have to do with anything you idiot!!! ya by the way i have a 95 mustang GT vert...i dont buy imports

  • Comment removed

  • are you serious, dude, the car is on a dyno, with no resistance, its not set to pull the car down to test power, it was freewheeling. if a car can do 100+mph moving itself, i think on a set of rollers it could turn the wheels 200mph (so long as the gears would allow it, and i have one of these cars, and there geared high enough to do it)

  • ill just stick with my mustang. dont know much about GP but this one would beat my stang i know that.

  • Fake. It's only possible if you alter the speedometer readout in the PCM. This happens on my gtp with 3.69 gears with 38 tooth reluctor wheel and a stock PCM speedometer readout. But i've done this on the street with a 2500 stall.

  • lol you know the HUD was just like "WTF are you doing to me?!"

  • yes sir.

  • Not to put anyone down, but air resistance drag on the open road would not allow the same car to do such a speed.

  • yeah but you have to admit its pretty impressive though.

  • so I just bought a 2000 Grand Prix GTP with less than 100K miles, and now I want the GTX. Haha. No. But I do need a new chip so I can go over 120...

  • you cant "chip" our cars like those ricer hondas can, you need a pcm tune. or a new one

  • I'd rather the chip still. My dad chipped his '92 blazer knocking the speed limiter off, (don't even ask me), and not that it matters in a blazer anyhow. But it gave him about 40 more horse and the sucker is still goin' to this day. Had that blazer well over ten years with 400k miles and still pulling vehicles behind it. Haha. Exact same motor and tranny, too. Never been replaced.

  • doesnt matter, you CANT chip a GP, you just cant, you need a dynotuner or hptuner, or some shit or ZZP pcm or ovrkll PCM or DHP PCM, so get it right

  • you can get up to 129 thats where the limiter is

if you can't get over 120 in ur car as it then somethings wrong with it

I got one still with the limiter and its not very hard, pick up doesn't even slow down up till then. You get to 129 and the rpms just stop moving you'll be in final gear with like 3500 rpms and a redline 2500rpms away

  • yea tht was one of a kind dude, wonder wat it had done to the trans

  • @HaloScreamerLoverR95 and i still bet this car will get atleast way past 150

  • that and the friction from the road itself included....woot Still thats a hell of a pull! NICE JOB!!

  • @speedboat very good do u want a cookie the title even say on a dyno

  • wow you must have the fastest grand prix on earth, or you just jacked your front end up and let the tires free spin. I wouldnt believe this video for a second unless i saw the dyno readout. I own a gtp and i love pontiac but i would LOVE to see the dyno readout

  • Always wondered what happened when it gets THAT high in the count. It blinks at you like W...T...F...are you doing to me! LOL Awesome man. I've only had mine up to 147MPH on the open road, thats fast enough for me. (unless you count the photochopped picture of 172MPH)

  • lol. my gtp goes 152... lol i chipped it. hud keeps up, the spedometer does not.

  • lol the hud's like wtf is this shit

  • i'm sure your tranny loved it

  • if they modded the engine they probly built up the tranny too, ar at least that would be the smart thing to do. car sounded damn nice tho

  • the transmission was heavily modded.

  • where did you get it built at, or did you do it yourself?

  • Actually, we didn't use the N2O on that run. I was uncorking it at that point. We did use it in later a later run that day but were afraid of the fuel shutoff leaning out the engine and we backed off before the redline. Still, it made over 300 hp at the wheels. Fun day!

  • damn u got up to 199 mph quick. i see the HUD doesn't go show past 199 mph. I have a 2002 GP GT and its a great car.

  • 97-2003 are the only real GTP, and Gt's the rest are just built on the best.

would like to get my hands on a 3800 III though. and drop it in. hahha, it would provide so much more power, and its lighter than the 3800II

  • Aren't the 3.8II made with a cast iron block? And the 3.8III w/ an aluminum block?

  • yes, that is why they would be lighter. haha. they would lower the whole car weight of the gp. becasue they are heavy as it is. lol.

  • Well I wasn't sure, just double checking. lol

  • The cast iron block is better, IMHO, the 3.8 series 2 is a highly over engineered engine which makes for some crazy durability. I'm at 225k miles on my Grand Prix GT and still running very strong. The transmission, however, is another story.

  • HUM.. wish i had as much luck with my 1996 camaro 3.8. only got 125,000 miles on it before it blew up.....

  • Haha yeah man, Ive got a '99 GTP with 130 000km on her and tranny was just replaced... GTP (Got Tranny Problems!) i love the car though!

  • ALL 3800 blocks are iron. there is no such thing as an aluminum 3800 block, not even aftermarket. closest thing would be the aftermarket 3.8 block for the grand national, and NO, it is NOT interchangeable with a 3800 block.

  • wow you got up there quick!!!! but, probably shouldnt have showed the nos bottle at the end. still a good run. what are your numbers? (i have a blk 2dr gtx and i love it also)
