  • @Dalton01Baby If the steel is long enough, the end never gets hot - there's a temperature gradient. Sometimes you can use hands, sometimes you use gloves, and sometimes you use tongs.

  • Greetings from beautiful women to mexico

  • She could "hammer" my "sword".. heh heh...

  • Awesome!

  • cutest blacksmith EVER!!!

  • nice work very interesting design

  • nice knife!

  • Nice blade..

  • thumbs up if you fapped to this.

  • damn, a real women. not many of those left in the world!!!

  • Thats a strange looking kitchen

  • @AFACF your a stupid fuck go cook for yourself most men that are worth a pinch of shit can manage that simple task

  • nice work

    blacksmith babe...

  • You look like Lauren Faust. OMG Are you Lauren Faust? If you are, not only did you make some of my favorite shows but you also are a blacksmith like me?

  • yes, i agree, that you would prefer tools suited to your preferences....but thats a damn nice knife!

and i will also agree with my fellow "testosterone driven bretheren" (she is pleasant to the eye)

keep at it M'Lady...smithing is FUN

  • Don't sweat the haters the end product is what matters and that knife looks good.

  • dam! hottest black smith ive ever seen! lol nice work :}

  • Also called a sultan knife i belive

  • great work! of course everyone is an expert and if your not doing it their way your wrong. But anything you make yourself always is well worth the effort. thanks for posting

  • hey look its charsi

  • @rakanichu321 fool that is obviously fara

  • ughh. ugly to watch

  • nice work, and for thoses haters God love them..lol funny how your way is the wrong way, but in the end like you said it got done and the way you like it

  • Cudos' to you for not only your wonderful piece but also for taking the rudeness from all these pre-pubescant children.

  • any video on youtube with a girl, guys turn into idiots.

  • Smithing lvl?

  • Beautiful....... Absolutely amazing knife. The chick is also hot.

  • HOT CHICK WITH A HAMMER SWEEETTT

  • i wish u were my girlfriend

  • I'd like to see some suggestion of a "hand guard" to give it a little more variance. I REALLY like the swirl you brought back up. My criticism comes from a illustrators perspective and not a blacksmiths so take it with a grain of salt.

  • Sexy girl ..Very nice ..!

  • You're really good. Though I'm starting to think that youtube just uses hot girls for everything just to attract people to watch it. You're probably one of the only actual PROFESSIONAL hot girls on youtube who actually knows what she's doing. Good job! :)

  • what a babe

  • Awesome work, but you should use gloves and protective gear for the eyes.

  • if only i could fine a woman like this i would be set...

  • Where is the eye protection? Eyes are very soft you know and they don't mend too easily.

  • Great work! only suggestion i would say is junk yards have all sorts of coil springs and they make great knife blades. and a recomendation 50$ knife shop by wayne goddard if you really want an excellent starter book, covers everything from materials to tools forging and/or stock removal, plus the tempering heat treating process, and great little section about tribal smithing. i have made 6-7 knives due to that book and i had zero blacksmithing experience.

  • what a lady !

a beautyfull young lady, with a very beautyfull hobby! i cant decide, what is more beautyfull, u or the knife? but i think the knife cant beat u :-)

is this one of your hobbys? your hammer strikes look trained. not like they look from the first times. the knive is very nice. it looks like, that u know what to do. is this your own anvil?

this video is a feast for the eyes!!!!

    kisses from germany

  • nice end result, very cool design.

  • good job! Ignore all the comments with obvious advice. You have prolly smithed more than they have (except perhaps in WOW or some other game) :) I hate doing rat-tails (round tapers) or any other taper really by hand. & My last knife with a tapered "striker" type handle wasn't as ascetically pleasing as yours & well, I been at this since I was your age or younger (I'm kinda old ) :)

  • BEUTIFUL KNIFE BUT U SHOULD USE TONGS BECUASE IF U GRAB THAT METAL AND ITS TO HOT IT WIL BURN LIKE A MOFO NOT TO MENTION U MIGHT NOT BE ABLE TO USE UR HAND AGAIN JUST TRY NOT TO HURT YOUR SELF:)

  • Kick ass. I love it. It is also kinda hot seeing a good looking girl pounding out some metal! As for all you back seat drivers. she did just fine didn't burn her self and handled her hammer fine. The end result was a cool stylish knife. Take your fat asses off your computers close your wow accounts and stop being jealous :)

  • Is the idea of a woman with a hammer like that getting anyone else hard?

  • For those of you saying never do that because its hot unless you leave the metal in for quite some time (at that point it'll melt) then you should be safe by holding the ends. Myself i only use tongs whenever im working with a small piece of metal.

  • you should wear thick gloves for saftey but still it looks good

  • She looks great doing it :)

  • Do not do what she is doing; Never grab a hot peice of metal with your hands

  • @Dalton01Baby The metal was not hot. It actually takes a while for the metal to heat up all the way down to where I was holding it. I used tongs once it got too warm.

  • @Burnouthappy Still at least wear thick leather gloves and use the tongs even on the end. Saftey Matters ^^

  • @Burnouthappy haha you owned that dude i bet he thought just because your a chick you didn't know what you were doing haha

  • @Burnouthappy yeah i do that all the time, i hate wearing gloves.

  • @Dalton01Baby

I think she's sexy :).. She already has some nice tools together. I am working on my first project ever. I entered a knife making competition for a survivalist website.

I think im going to go full bore on black smithing. I enjoy this allot!

  • @Dalton01Baby I would rather do as she does instead of using a glove! that is a sertan way to seriously burn ur hand.

  • @Dalton01Baby and never attempt to wrestle a bear.

  • @Dalton01Baby Come now...Nothing wrong with holding steel you're working, so long as it's not the glowy end.

Being safe is great, but anyone with common sense has no use for stifling rules.

  • Fantastic design on the blade. Reminds me of decorative/utilitarian knives you may have found in the 1600's. I hope you haven't given up forging you have a great talent for it.

  • put some gloves on damn

  • Cutest blacksmith in the world.

  • i hate people that r sexist

    ps. IM A MAN

  • Your knife turned out very well. I very much like its shape, was it your design?

    Hope to see more.

  • A thing of beauty is a joy forever.

    I like the knife, too.

  • thumbs up if you clicked for the hot chick i mean steel

  • I want to get into Blacksmithing. I want to make my own swords and armor but I don't know where to start. I live in a suburban neighborhood so I don't think I could have one in my back yard. How do i become an apprentice of a blacksmith? Should I get books on blacksmithing?

  • @sirchristian12 im on the same page as u man, i just bought a hammer from home depot ($17.99) i too live in the suburbs, but this place is geto so they might not care, lol.

  • nice knife

  • You would be better cooking

  • fairly nice blacksmithing but shes like blacksmith 1964 said she was pushing the hammer and not hitting it square and she held the hammer higher up instead of holding the bottom of the hammer.

  • The beauty of the Universe flows through you in Natures' manifestation of your physical-being and the fine mittelwork performed through your hands... You have a nice technique upon the anvil... ... and the blade is a silent beauty of an invisible Force manifest in steel... No matter the heavy hammer, nor an unfamiliar anvil... ... in the end, that Force- Skill- beheld a beautiful and sturdy blade... A most Excellent blade!
  • this girl is like the metal she is working with HOT!!! keep up the good work

  • Gass forges are a waste of money in my opinion I know there easy and clean but it's so....modern.

  • ! son pocas las mujeres en el mundo que dominan el arte de la forja ,favorito video de la excepcion de la regla ¡ saludos desde Peru.

  • jeez is there anything you can't do your amazing! i think i'm a little bit inlove lol

  • You have a good eye for line and proportion. I would have liked to see them protected with safety glasses.

It is always difficult working with another persons equipment.

    Good luck with the smithing.

    It can be addictive

  • now thats a woman

  • A nice video and a good looking blacksmith. Nice work to.

  • nice knife

  • Nice nice, Good setup on the forge. I've been wanting to get started smithing for a while. But i seem to be having issues finding an Anvil...living in alaska makes it hard to find things.

  • Try choking up on the hammer, it is not cheating. I swing a 5lb hammer choked up and can swing it all day. It is not how hard you can swing it because the hammer should do the work, not your arm. You are just guiding it to the target.

Try lowering your anvil too, it looks too high, should be right about waist high.

  • Great first effort!!! You have a great sense of line and proportion.

  • how do you like the propane forge?

  • The hammer is FAR too heavy for her. You can tell because she's "pushing" the hammer instead of hitting the metal fair and square.

The hammer also goes all over the place. A sure sign of loss of control.

And I would strongly suggest a leather apron for her or anyone else trying this craft. Safety people!

  • Yeah it was my friends forge, only had two hammers both too heavy for me. But whatever it got the job done. I know all about safety ive been blacksmithing since I was 15 and went to school for 4 years for metal fabrication.

  • Yeah, you were standing pretty far from the spot you were hitting. Probably far enough from where the sparks would land.

    Nice knife by the way.

  • @Burnouthappy so why aren't you wearing safety glasses and wearing a polyester blend blouse that will melt to your skin if it catches fire? You'll look just as good in cotton. Put some glasses on, stand up straight, tuck your elbow in, bounce the hammer (don't push it), and please don't say you know it all (especially about safety) because you clearly don't.

  • @Burnouthappy not bad for your first knife. Obviously you learn a bit each time you do it, and thanks to the help of all the 'youtube experts' you know a little more. Keep at it, you are doing great!

  • @Blacksmith1964 Sometimes people don't have the money for all the right tools and garb. It's called making do with whatcha got. If you want real saftey, invest in shades for when looking into the forge and earplugs. I'd rather have my hearing and sight than cry over a bit of hot slag burning on my skin.

  • @Blacksmith1964 god dammit I fucking hate back seat drivers like you. She did great just fucking say that!! we dont need your pseudo wisdom you dumb shit. Oh and she did do great. good for you, love your videos seen all of them :)

  • nice curves

  • A female blacksmith? I'm in love.

  • that had some nice curves on it the knife did to

  • WOW the first hot blacksmith there is hope for the world.

  • i have seen a few, but no red heads (but everyones hair looks the same after 6 hours over a coal forge). but yay hot blacksmiths!

  • @schroom777 I thought I was the first one? :(

  • anyone have any anvils for sale? drop me a pm, and well work out a deal

  • Awesome!

  • holy shit!! that is a nice blade!! great work.

  • Finally, a female blacksmith and good one at that. Nice work!

  • i found my best friend a mate

  • im not a smithy- but that hammer looks kinda big :S

  • Wow, she's a good woman.

  • nice knife but shouldnt you be wearing glaove at the least?

  • its her choice. if she gets burned, not the end of the universe.

  • Beautiful & talented, what more could a man want?

  • damn she is good

  • a hammer half the size, lowering your gip and 'bouncing' the hammer off the metal would make the steel move a bit easier...

nice forge, what kind of burner? a reil?

  • Very nice, sleek slim and shaply

  • nice double entendre raiun

  • sweet ass knife

  • sik knife

  • Is there anything you don't do?

Haha, that knife is beautiful. It's be cool to make something along those lines to throw...my knife is a little old. XD

  • not often I see women in the field, good to see new people pick up the hammer.

  • Cool, very stylish.

  • Awesome work.

  • awesome knife, it looks very lord of the ring-ish like

  • wicked knife

  • ur so hot............

  • SWEEET!!!!!!

  • she's so amazing!!!!

  • yea... PUNJAB

  • MAN that came out so freaking pretty; see seriously as a guy i could never design something that feminine and pretty if i tried.

    -hero

  • Yay!

  • i Think thats not knife, it is SWORD.

  • NOOOOOO thats just a little knife =P

  • yap, ive seen it in the last part of these video. i made that comment b4 that video end.

  • haha yeah i actually did too o.O =P

  • Geeze Sasha. Lol. You do epic fire dances, you can sew anything, AND you do blacksmithing?! Is there anything you can't do?! LOL! XP

  • cool

  • great! she look just like my ex car driving instructor!

  • Wow. I'm astonished. You are a movie come true! At the end of "Castaway" Tom Hanks meets the receiver of "the package" who just happens to be a metalsmithing red-haired angel who leaves him at the crossroads with a decision to make... of course, he turns around and talks to her because who wouldn't see what a celestial treasure a metalsmithing red-haired angel would be?!! Sorry- is my Freudian showing?

You really have talent. I love your style & control.

Maybe I'll see you at the crossroads?

  • Awesome!! First Female-blacksmith I've seen! Really pretty knife :) Greetings from Poland! \m/

  • awesome

  • Nice. My question is what kind of anvil are you using? It sounds like a cast iron ASO, due to the lack of ring.

I thought about buying a cast iron 70 pounder and welding a section of forklift fork to the top(after milling it down, of course)

The forks are high carbon steel, and I've used them as anvils for a while now. They're great for straightening bent chainsaw bars with a soft faced deadblow hammer.

  • I hope for you're sake that you're a very skilled welder.

  • Why yes, yes I am. However, I think I'll just use one for a pattern and ram up a mold and cast one onto the steel.

  • Seems reasonable. :D

  • cool,you do it all !!!

  • 1... you spelled marry wrong, Chopped, and 2 ... that is some good slinging there and a nice blade. Makes me think of an elven dagger.

  • merry me.....

  • Sasha, very nice, but please wear safety glasses; your eyesight is very precious...

  • *tiger growl*

  • cool

  • clean and cool

  • that is awesome! u just do everything! ur water, fire and pretty much everythingelse

  • Very cool first knife. Neat design!

  • why that looks like phil's forge!i might be going back tommorow but i dont know yet. i want to go up with some money so i can by a decen anvil or forge

  • nice knife, but, you should remove tools from the hardy when hitting on the anvil face. You dont want to get your fingers caught between the hammer handle and the tool

  • That looks nice, especially for your first knife :)

    Grats.

  • that is sooo neat! nice work

  • Awesome!!! You do good work Sasha =D Miss talking to you =(
