This made me want to cry... the songs and sceneries, everything. I miss Vietnam so much. I was adopted at the age of 9 and we moved from Vietnam when I was 11 because of dad's job. I've never been the same since.... Whenever we come back for a visit there's always this bittersweet feeling in me, I'm always filled with this pure joy when we're back home yet I just fall apart realizing what I've been missing out.

Someday I'd like to go back as a tourist. So many wonderful things in Vietnam -- the culture, the people, the art, the history and beautiful countryside. I was 19 when I went there in 1971 and my favorite part was the Central Highlands... I think it was Bo-Lac (I misspelled it) but up in the mountains where it was cool. Everywhere I went though, was simply beautiful.

I did not like the way VN communist rules the country right after 1975, but I was surprise that how well they're doing now, Even though, corruption everywhere, no freedom of speech, religion, news. VN future will only get better once the younger generation are in control (I hope). There is one thing I must say: "we forgive but not forget!" History lessons of what they did to the people of South VN (soldiers,people, religion icons, writers) must be remembered. It's a shame if we forget that.

@phanlinhfa u got the fact wrong?look at those notherner who is chinese servant did to vn,in 1968 they kill nearly 100.000 civilian in Hue city only,another 200.000 died in their re education camp.we lived happily in the south and u guys invaded us.In war people died,no complain but u,northerner killed so many of us after the war end.

And now u give lands for chinese,let them in this country to mine,let them bring their people here to work.

DON'T:1.keep your hand in your pockets in Ho chi minh monument, you might get in trouble with police.

2.bargain merchandise in the Dong Xuan market, they'll turn to violent with you.

3.Walk on the treet, they will run over you.

Be alert: pocket picking,dog meat, protistution can be found every where but no public rest room, they do it right on the Ho Tay,in the bushes...

1.eat in enclosured restaurant.

2.drink only from the botles.

We don't need to borrow anything from the chinese, because 90% of Vietnamese descendants today are of chinese ancestral. Get your facts straight before you say that we copy or borrow. It all started in the North then moved southwards to Hue then to Ho Chi Minh city.
