  • It has some of "I've got a feeling"

  • I remember, when I heard this in the movie, I thought he was saying "I'm living at home".

So many of us can sing that these days.

  • there's a place in orkney called twatt

  • he runs a pub in cambridge now. The Castle

  • Wrong, wrong and wrong again, The obscure band is called The Strolling Ones. Major mistakes are made only by the intelligent ones. An IQ of 136 is more than just a burdon, it's a way of living. Sharing your immense superiority with the common and plain ones is just my way of showing my total lack of respect towards plumbers, electricians and such. Admitting a mistake is divine. That's me. Where on earth is my tea with scones? Rutle up! Santangelo Baron von Preußen the 5th.

  • I listen to this while I'm high on coffee. Don't tell me what to do with my life!

  • Add "What Goes On"

  • Richard changed his name to Ringo.

Barry should change his name to Bingo.

    OK...I've had too much tea.

  • @Cheessa Barry isn't his original name. he changed it to Barry Wom from Barrington Womble to save time, at the same time he also changed his hair style to save on brylcreem.

  • Don't pass me by meets Octopuss's Garden meets Act naturally genius!!

  • Man, all this time I thought he was singing "I'm living at home". Great one anyway.

  • the vinyl liner notes say this is from "Rutles for Sale"

  • @WillTWiggins Never figured that one out - I mean come on, why the hell would Ringo have a song on that album? (In fact, "Don't Pass Me By" was rejected from that album... the Beatles didn't want anything to do with it for a few years.)

  • @SecretTimeWarp Yeah i guess it is a little confusing...i think they just attributed the song to Barry Wom because he sings it..in the world of The Rutles, Stig is the writer of "Blue suede Schubert" whereas in real life, the beatles' equivalent (roll over beethoven) was a cover..they attributed it to stig because he sings it i think they did the same thing here..they definitely went for a "don't pass me by", white album era sound here, tho, you're right

  • @SecretTimeWarp i think as a song its parodying dont pass me by but in the chronology of the film and the liner notes, it's more of a "honey don't" even though it doesnt sound like that....idk could just be me looking too much into it hahaha

  • @WillTWiggins There was no cover for that, probably could of made one, but i wanted to use the Shabby Road cover.

  • @SgtRuttersClubBand it works! btw I didnt mean to put down your video haha i love your channel

  • Can anyone tab out that little riff stig plays?

  • I used to live near a town called Hope in BC, Canada.

  • there is a village in Derbyshire uk called Hope

  • Barry Wom sounds just like Ringo. "Don't Pass Me By" on The White Album.

  • @AstoriaMichelle99 What?! Are you proposing that there is a connection between The Rutles and The Beatles? Madness!

  • @KoalaOdder Indeed so. The Rutles are only to be compared to an obscure English band; The Stolling Rones and maybe, just maybe to another minor group with the absolutely absurd name Los Escarabajos. Great reading your insight knowledge of music. My deepest respect! I do learn every day thanks to Tu Tubo. And now for something completely different and bring in the tea and scones with marmalade. Yours: Santagelo Baron von Preussen the 5th.

  • Wom!

  • "I grew up in a country, beside a chicken shack... so I left for the city and I didn't loooook back"

Love how they replicated Ringo's drumming. Top stuff.

  • @stenwald "Feeling like a cowboy... but looking like a slob"... heh heh
