@2404jayjay man coles sell it for like less than two dollars a packet! dylon is really expensive,so you wont find that cheap. look for no-branders!

I think if you do 3 colours you dip 1/3 of the shorts in the first colour, then wait till it's all dry then turn it around and dye 2/3 of the rest the second colour. Wait for that to dry then dye half of the second colour the third colour.

@Babynamwoohyun hi thr! You can get Rit dyes from spotlight but they are quite costly. I suggest you use Dylon dyes from homefix store which only cost $3.60. Hope this helps!

i have these denim shorts, but i want to dye them so they will be three colours- what i want to do is keep the original colour (light blue) in the middle, purple on the bottom and orange on the top, how can i get the orange to fade out? because i dont want a line from where the colour i've dyed stops?

I bought the same dye and it says on the instructions to leave the clothing in the dye for 40 minutes..? Also did you let the shorts air dry and then rinse them before putting them in the dryer because I'm worried that the dye will get all over my dryer if I don't rinse the dye out first.

I can never find RIT dye for some reason but I've used the tulip dye before for shirts... do you really only have to leave it in for a few minutes? On the instructions it says to leave it in for like 45 mins but now i'm convinced otherwise haha:) the color looked greaaaaaat

I have recently bought shorts in order to do this, they are Levi's so also have the tag on the back like the pair of shorts you are dying in this tutorial (the brown tag towards the top of the shorts). I was just wondering, when you dye the shorts, did the dye ruin the tag and would I have to protect this in someone when I dye mine, as I don't want the Levis tag to be ruined ?
