Apparently you don't know much about what you're talking about. The man on the right was a Christian for 25 years and was studying to be a minister before he realized how absurd and unsubstantiated his beliefs were. He knows what he's talking about, as far as at least one denomination goes.
I know the man on the right was a Christian for 25 years. And I know that he is acting like an adolescent. And it is so very clear that he does not know what he is talking about. The list of errors in the above video are almost too numerous to mention.
Correct. And this is ridicule AND instructions on how to steal hosts at Mass AND a sample of how to desecrate them. Free speech is great -- and I will protect your right to free speech until my dying breath. But that is not the issue here. Hate speech encouraging hate action is the issue here.
free speech=the freedom to say, to videotape or film, or to publish in anyway your opinion on any topic. NOT to invade worship spaces, steal things sacred to others, and desecrating things sacred to others.
OK, what if the priest gave me the consecrated wafer with full knowledge that I would go on youtube and desecrate it. Would that be free expression in your opinion?
Interesting scenario, Zadius. If the priest gave the consecrated wafer to you under the conditions you stipulated, it would still not be free expression. And the priest would incur excommunication because he is knowingly participating in the desecration of the Eucharist. So the priest would be thrown out of the Church.
You still didn't explain why it would be. Is my going to a Hindu temple and stomping on the sacred threads of a Hindu priests just free expression or something else? Is a neo-Nazi spray painting big swastikas on a Jewish home just free expression or something else?
It is a gift from God to us and also a revisiting of both the Last Supper and Calvary. No one "owns" the Eucharist, but the priests, bishops, and even the pope are the caretakers of the Eucharist. I would go into it farther, but now you are slipping into childishness again (what's this "bwahahahaha?") so it clear their is no reasoning with you. You are intensely anti-Catholic and will not give up your persecution of Catholics.
Well, we have had this discussion before. Once again, you really do not have to respect our theology, and we are not asking you to respect our theology. We are simply asking you not to invade our churches and steal consecrated hosts. This should not be rocket science for you -- since you are not a believer, then it shouldn't be too hard for you to stay away from our churches or our sacraments. All we ask is that you leave us alone and stop the hate actions!
You just said that if a priest had given me the wafer with full knowledge of what I'd do with it, that it wouldn't change the situation for you. So in fact you are NOT asking me not to steal or invade your church, you are asking me to show reverence to your sacraments!
No. I am sure that I am not allowed to enter your apartment and steal your television. But that does not mean you are asking me to show reverence to your television set. Just the same, we ask you not to invade our churches and steal objects we consider sacred. That is NOT asking you to reverence these sacred objects, simply not to steal them and destroy them. Got it?
Cool, all the best parts of a great video.

A great compilation of two men acting like adolescents. And really not knowing what they are talking about either.

Mention one and I guarantee you that there are at least several Christian denominations who do not consider them errors.

Irrelevant observation, since the church being marked out for persecution in this video is the Catholic Church.

Hey dipshit. Ridicule is not persecution.

Desecration = free expression.

Nope.
Desecration=hate crime.

Obviously you still have stealing, but this time it is also an "inside job," with the priest helping out in the hate crime.
chrisman737 3 years ago
Hahaha, so even the priest doesn't have possessional rights to the cracker? Who owns it? GOD!?
Bwahahahahaha!

Exactly, it's only 'stealing' from a theological perspective. Stop asking atheists to respect your theology!
