Sen. John Ensign (R-Nev.) received a handwritten note Thursday from Joint Committee on Taxation Chief of Staff Tom Barthold confirming the penalty for failing to pay the up to $1,900 fee for not buying health insurance.
Violators could be charged with a misdemeanor and could face up to a year in jail or a $25,000 penalty, Barthold wrote on JCT letterhead. He signed it "Sincerely, Thomas A. Barthold."
There are lots of scientific studies, evaluating complimentary medicine. Why support this bill? What is different about this bill and why is it important?
Because Texas Legislators want to limit your choice of practitioners and modalities that are available to Texans. Many other states already have a bill like this. New Mexico just passed one this year.
free? lmao. its gonna be paid for by taxes and anyone can have healthcare poor and old people have medicare and medicade lmao learn something you little kid not what cnn and your stupid school says
the repugs have created a system that will now make it a fine if you dont have insurance, so again the poor are stuck, pay for health insurance out of pocket, or pay for rent and food and utilities, PUBLIC OPTION NOW!
I am tired of these liberatarian videos made against single payer healthcare. Stop MAKING THEM!!! I like your channell but don't make these videos. They suck!!
i removed my last comment, that was the beer talking! the only reason i have a grudge aginst texas is because i went to AF basic training there, so thats my only "fond" memory of texas, LOL! and i wasent alloud off base. i am shure the rest of the state is hgalf way descent.........
The Baucus watered down the bill so bad that it is a gift to the healthcare industry. We need a new bill with a strong public option and better regulations on the privte insurance.
On that note, I think the idea of them advocating this study is not because they love big government, but because big government threatens to wipe out freedom to choose alternative medicine if that's what you want. Here in Minneosta, Naturopaths are unable to get a liscense due to big government.
Texas has provided/created more new jobs given more raises than all 50 states combined. we have a balanced budget ; more natural resources than anyone u also get 2 choose ur energy providers here, lowering coast. because we r into oil we also have some of the cheapest gas n the us. boo yaa. r women r women and r men r men i know u wouldn't say what u just did 2a Texans face! cause ur a week ass liberal puss. get a real job, stop hugging trees, find a real woman. shot a gun, grow some balls...
If you had actually read what I wrote you'll notice that I haven't commented on your "American issues".
Also, funny how you're probably the type of person to blather about free speech and yet here you are telling me not to comment when I still have a right.
Especially since my country (UK) actually has a HUMANE healthcare system.
I know the UK has a HUMANE healthcare system. I am all for UNIVERSAL HEALTHCARE. I do believe in Free Speech, but I get irked when people put their 2 cents, or 2 pence in your case into the matters of other nations when it does not effect the world as a whole, but only the nation that is having the debate. I would not put my nose into British affairs if it did not effect the world. I have the faith in the British to work out their own problems. Please have faith that Americans will work this out
Im a democrat & liberal & I just dont see why we are gonna crash the the system. the government is in dept. i rather use the money to fix bridges & pipes & freeways. if americans cant afford there health care what makes you thin the can afford it for 50 million people. tho I wonder if this will even work. I say learn to fix your own teeth did you know you can learn maybe
u didn't inform us on anything? i hope u don't side with government run health care cause i don't want to unsubscribe to u guys i like your channel. i am gonna look into what you guys r talking about so i will know more about it.
Can't speak for nuno, but if we got rid of HMOs and did things prior to government intervention in healthcare, then, no, we wouldn't need Medicare. Doctors used to have to strive for providing the highest quality of healthcare for the lowest price, and sometimes that meant charging less for the poor, or sometimes offering them free care. Nowadays, doctors are completley sold out to the drug companies and because they rely on insurance companies to pay for everything, they charge what they want
Old people weren't on the street because you didn't need health insurance unless you were having major surgery or something done. That's how cheap the prices were! Insurance is for unplanned disasters, not routine checkups. Old people were never out on street, doctors provided their services for a cut-price or for free to accomodate the elderly and poor. What we have now is the result of government making HMOs necessary, and doctors refusing treatment unless you're covered. Do some research.
we need to open up the state lines so insurance companies can compete. liberals want to bankrupt the system put us all on welfare making us dependent on our government with no control of our futures. if we don't take America back from then we will be helpless later. wake up plz.
Single payer now!!!

America needs universal healthcare, free at the point of use for all.
ALL people should have access to healthcare, not just those who can afford it.
Any system that means poor people miss out is REALLY bad for your karma!

What are you talking about? I'm not against texas... it's probably quite a nice place.
I do have a real job.
I don't hug trees.
I don't live in the USA so quite frankly I don't care how many jobs you have.
And I'm not liberal, just sensible.

Unsubstantiated claim, are you getting your stats from Fox News?
And even if that Were the case (which I have no knowledge about) it is surely better than just letting people suffer if they have no money.
And we can get insurance if we want to, it's not forced, it's given to us as a human right to live happily, healthily and live with healthy people.
