Everyone seems to be hating on o2. One thing that has to be said is that they sell the phone on its own, sim free for the cheapest. Also if you are to get this phone on a contract you are guaranteed the phone unlocked and sim free whereas with all the other networks you have locked phones loaded with the companies own software that eventually messes up the phone. The new sony ericsson Satio is a excellent example of this.
hd2 is a great phone so much better than the iphone i have had all three generation iphones and the only thing i slightly miss is the apps other than that hd2 kicks the iphone into touch! roll on hd3 lol
"... a rubber case which you get with the iPhone"? as far as i know you dont get anything of that kind with the apple. rubber cases are available for the HD2 though. £20-£40 i would guess
If you no choice in the matter and have to go to O2 (like me) then DON'T get the HTC HD2. I've had it since the first day it was released and now i'm getting cravings for an Iphone..................I want an Iphone ;(
Anyone want to buy a mint HTC HD2 with a rubber protective casing and screen protector or swap with an Iphone 3GS 16gb black????
I too told O2 that I would leave to go to vodafone. so they said they would give me a £30pm contract over 24mths and pay £20 towards the handset. Not a bad deal i think, seeing as they wanted £75pm for me to have a free handset.
i tried ringing and they wudnt budge. :/ starting my first contract been with them on PAYG for 4 years and vodafone simply has the better tariff. but i need unlimited o2 calls and either way there offering £35 18months £100 but i add £7.50 for internet.
reloadedgangsta - i swear the people working at O2 are so stupid. you can ask the same question to different people working in the same job and you'll get all kinds of different answers.
just rang em again and the guy goes "sir the phones not actually out yet" so i pointed him to the massive press release on o2s website which says they're started doing the phone. The dude got confused an all and said naah we dont offer it yet... i wonder why o2 has to lie on their own website...
reloadedgangsta - keep calling them back, all youre going to get is a different person answering the call and hopefully after a few tries you'll get someone that is slightly competent and know what customer service means. O2 are strange.
I've just finished a review on the phone so Ill get it up asap. Its a really good phone!
hahahah lol yeah except i'm at uni and the calls cost me alot from my mobile phone... but i'll still try it... t-mobile gave me a definite date which is this friday and offered to ring me back, their tarrif sounds good so i might go for that. I also went to Vodafone store, they didnt have it in stock but offered to email and ring me back as soon as they do... i think i'll probably end up with t-mobile unless O2 get their sh*t togather and sort out their crappy CS!!!
I think its because i'm trying to get a new contract but yh i called again during afternoon hours today and told em my friend has it but they wont admit that the phone is even out yet. Guess i'll give it one more go tomorrow if not then just go to vodafone and get it off them....
Guys (stable121)....I am not lying to you. I dont know how to prove it.I know on my next review of the HD2 Ill video the O2 screen or something?
I have got this on O2 and you can have it if you just call them up on the number I posted below. be shy, just pick up the phone and call them if you dont believe me.
saud2love - I cant really choose for you because I have never been on Vodaphone. But from my experience their network coverage is not as good as O2 (if anyone is on Vodaphone could you tell us if you have any problems with network?)
Vodaphone do have a much better deal online. For £40 you can get 1200mins, unlimited text & free internet which is a very good deal compared to O2 which for £45 you can get 1200mins, 1000text & a choice of ONE bolt on which the main ones people would get are free unlimited O2 to O2 call, unlimited web, unlimited Wi-Fi.
I would recommend O2 if you are more concerned about network coverage & make calls a lot.
I would recommend Vodaphone if your on a budget and surf the web more than make calls.
In my opinion O2 have a really bad customer service team and are rubbish all round but the only reason I stay with them is because they have good network coverage and their tariffs are not bad.
If you do buy a HTC HD2 from O2 and they say they can't give you the phone for free on the online £35 a month contract they are chatting s**t. Ask them to put you through to the 'retention team' and tell them that Vodaphone do a much better deal. They should give you £35 a month contract with free phone.
The only reason i didn't go for Vodaphone was because my company mobile is on Vodaphone and the network coverage is s**t.
I ordered it from O2 yesterday (19/11/09) over the phone. Try it....I called 202 from my O2 handset but you can call 0870 600 3009.They should still have it in stock?
As most people are aware of, O2's website is crap! Its not user friendly at all and really confusing.
When i got the Satio from O2 they didn't have it posted up on their site and they still don't to this day.
I rang them just now and they said they havnt got any in stock. They guy also said they have no pricing or anything on it, they're waiting for the product. I know yours is from o2 but how do you get the guy to admit they have the phones?

where you already on an o2 contract or from PAYG?
Adistar92 2 years ago
You could get it for £30 a month with a free phone, all you need to do is haggle a bit.
I broke my arm in half in a motorcycle accident! It was very painful!

Not bad for a first review. Better than my first one lol. I rang O2 yesterday and told them that I would be leaving them
a) because Vodafone already had the HD2 available to buy
b) it is available FREE under contract. O2 talked me into staying with a really nice online deal.
Fingers crossed I'll have my HD2 by tomorrow...
