  • CAn I ask you if you did anything to reduce your arms from excess skin? You look fabulous here and I know this was before the other procedures!

  • @love2uluvme I did not have any work done to my arms. This was just pure excercise. Always keep your arms moving weather your on the treadmil or eliptical

  • You know Mel, you look great. I myself have som much excess skin on my stomach, breasts, legs and arms and am feeling quite desperate and depressed over what I look like. How did you cope with what you see when you are undressed????

Thanks for all your inspiration too, you have been a great source of comfort to me over this last year,

    Karen

  • PS: LOVE LOVE LOVE this song! Gonna have to download it!

  • Thank you SO much girl, for sending me this video. You have no idea how much I appreciate your kind words of encouragement. You're a brave girl to be baring your skin. If I was set up to have plastics, I'd be baring it also. LOL Thank you again... You're to awesome! ♥

  • Thanks so much Sarah, your words mean a lot. I just hope u now know that ur not alone when it comes to skin issues. All of us wls people have the same problem.

  • You are adorable! So bummed I won't meet you in Vegas...

Thanks for sharing. I look in similar condition. I was size 22 and now a 2 or 4 weighing 125. Hugs, Shannon

  • listen girl u dont look bad bareing it all girl u still look fabulous !!!!

  • You look great! I'm attaching mine to yours, too.

  • thank you so much for posting this video. You are very brave and you look awesome. Im looking forward for u to get the tummy tuck because think its the best thing for u right now. u have done all u needed to do to lose the weight and theres nothing else u can do about the skin, thanks for posting hun and u should be soooooo proud!

  • u fucking deserve ur surgery. u did a hell of a job. Sometimes we all need a jump start and thats ok. as long as u got where u wanted to be. i am on my weight lose journey too but u have totally encoraged me. thanks for being 100% up front. i so happy for u girl. let us know who and where u have ur surgery. i may need his/her number. lol

  • YOu are an inspriation to all of us heavy set women.. i have struggled..for a while.. you are brave for for posting. and glad you are trutheful.. but.. you r honest and let people know what to expect.. Good luck.. i to am doing the lapband. and after that i already know i am doing the breast augmentation and the tummy tuck..'

  • I weigh 260, and my shape is, or was very similar to yours starting out. I am not getting surgery, because I am terrified of it... but, I am still worried that by dieting and exercise I will be dealing with a lot of excess skin when I get to my goal weight. You are amazing to post this, I appreciate it so much..

I am worried especially about my breasts, they're huge.. but saggy already, about the same as your end result. I can only imagine...

  • thanks for your honesty. you are not alone. i think we all feel and look the same way! you are going to looking incredibly hot by january...even though you do look amazing now! :D

  • Looking really good! Keep up the good work! What kind of dieting have you followed?

  • no need to be emberrassed! youlook gorgeous!

  • i think ima bare it all im nervous though hehe

  • The overall picture is that u still look good, you look healthy, and YOU'RE happy & have no regrets! Live your life for you & continue to do your thang girl! Luv u!

  • You should be proud of urself bcuz you worked hard and deserve to glow. If it takes having the surgery to put the icing on the cake, here's the knife. You will spread the icing of sunshine to many that you are an inspiration to, including me. One might think of the number of pounds u lost and how many sizes smaller you are as a bad thing.

  • Hey Melanie! One thing that I know is people will always have something to say. As long as u are happy, ur doing it for you and no one else, and you have a strong support system of the people who mean the most to you, that's all that matters. You were beautiful in your old skin. You look fabulous in your new skin!

  • Melanie ~ You are so brave for posting this video. Thank you for always being honest and open with all of us about your journey. I am two months out and I am already starting to see the loose skin and the changes to my body. While I am nervous about getting to the stage that you are at currently, I do know that it will all be worth it in the end. Keep up the good work and I look forward to seeing your "after" photos!!

  • You are so awesome for your honesty. I still think you look fabulous and you have come a long way. Good luck with the surgery, sweetie and keep us posted. Those are two of the surgeries that I'm considering after weight loss too.

  • this was VERY inspiring.

Don't let the extra skin get you too down though. You've gone through so much to get there and it shows. It may not feel like the most attractive thing, but you should feel good knowing that you did something great for yourself. The surgery should only enhance that incredible feeling.

And to be 151 lbs and a size 4 could only happen in my dreams lol. Congratulations on all of your successes. =]

  • You look good. Keep up the good work.

  • So proud of you thank you for your inspiration

  • Thanks for "baring" it all to let us know what to expect. I am 7 months out and a size 6 and have the same wrinklies and extra skin in my belly. At one year I will consider plastic surgery as well but may want to hold out just in case I want to have a baby someday. It's frustrating when I used to have a great ass and now it is all bones as well. I just have to keep doing the lunges and squats! Thanks again for sharing your journey. You look fabulous and have come a long way.

  • Hi you look fantastic! Not disgusting at all - I don't know why you used that term? You don't have that much loose skin - I was wondering if loose skin can disappear with exercise or is plastic surgery the only way to get rid of it?

  • you were beautiful before surgery and now..you are a whole new woman..you look incredible..grat job..:)

  • I just wanted to tell you that you are an inspiration to me and I 've followed your whole journey! That's what helped me decide on having my surgery. I had my surgery on Nov.16 and I'm doing great! Thanks a lot and keep up the good work!

  • You are even more f an inspiratin to me evenmre. I appreciate your courage.

what a woman! you look great, and yu will look even better after yu d what yu gotta do!

  • you are a beautiful woman good luck!

  • You have a done an awesome job with your body! Congrations to you. Olive oil and Shea Butter (raw, unrefined) mixture EVERYDAY for 3-6 months is a blessing for strecth marks and discoloration! You will not believe the difference and you will really be thankful for the suggestion. Rock your new body girl. Peace and Blessings to you!

  • Don't be embarrassed; you look great! And after your surgery, no one will ever know you were larger -- unless they watch YouTube, LOL. Seriously, thanks so much for sharing your entire journey. You are so informative and down to earth, you should write a book about it, truly :) Have a very happy Thanksgiving.

  • You are very brave, I have so much respect for you in doing this video. I have the same problem, I am 5'5" and have gone down 160 pounds in 10 months, from 302 to 141 this morning. I have very bad skin on my belly, with terrible stretch marks, also tons of saggy skin on my thighs, butt, boobs and arms. I actually even noticed it on my calves this morning at the gym. My breasts look just like yours, and I used to love how they looked. I will definitely be getting plastics, maybe in another year.

  • Melanie

Thanks for keep it real! You are a brave person and I admire you! I completely understand your NEED to have plastic surgery. Hopefully I'm going to need your plastic surgeons number a year post op too!

  • I like you. You are bold like me. I showed my scars too. You are very small. When I weigh 150, I think I wore a size 7. I remember you said you are 5'6'. I am 5'5 what a different a inch makes. lol I am currently 218 and about 3 months out. Hopefully I will get to 150 by July of next year. Good luck with your surgery. I already thinking I am going to need it too. lol

  • u are amazing and brave! very inspiring. you gave me chills and made me cry. ( i have;nt even got the courage to post pictures of myself yet im 300lbs. im embarrasses. but YOU are amazing. You go girl having your surgery Please keep us posted and updated.

  • You are beautiful Mel and life is always a trade off isn't it? I mean...my breasts are going south and it's hard to see that.

I am excited about losing weight and changing my life but somethings I wasn't sure what to expect and you are and always have been an inspiration.

I'll get my breast worked on too....after I lose all my weight. You are beautiful inside and out...God Bless You and May all your dreams come true...

  • I think this video is fantastic and well done on your weight loss. I think you look great!!

  • Mel yes it takes alot to do what you've done throughout your whole journey but you've succeeded big time! You look terrfic.. And sure you'll feel better once is all done... Most of all you just take care of yourself & your family .. Do what makes you happy that's all that matters my friend.. Always remember your true self as you've never once forgotten here yet to this day.. It's nice to see the real deal Have a great weekend.. 10*'s hugs!!!

  • Thanx for the video... i thought i was the only one who felt like that.....you deserve to have your perfect body......

  • Melanie... Girl.. you look Beautiful. I hope I look that decent after all of my weight is gone, but I am only 8 weeks out :) I love your videos and wish you wouldn't be so hard on yourself. I can understand why you want the plastic surgery, but you are beautiful without it! :)

    Nicole

  • We learn to be very hard on ourselves when we are over weight. I used to beat myself up verbally when I would look in the mirror almost daily saying things to myself that were horrible. I would tell myself I was a disgusting ugly fat cow and worse. I am working really really hard to be kinder tom myself now. You need to work on this too. Every time you want to call your self something negative

Be kind to your self you DESERVE IT!

  • girl you don't look bad at all :o)

  • Thanks for posting that. I think you're being overly critical of yourself, maybe because you're still young or maybe it's just because you haven't had time to get used to the new you. It doesn't matter if you don't have what society claims is the "perfect body".I can understand why people choose to have cosmetic surgery after weight loss,I may even have it myself. You're nowhere near disgusting and there are women out there (myself included) who think you're lucky to have been this successful :-)

  • Melanie, you look fantastic. Congrats on the 124lbs, you are truly an inspiration. I understand you wanting plastic surgery for the excess skin, but stay proud of what you have accomplished. You are a beautiful woman and person. Again Congrats!!!

  • Aww Melanie I have to say even with the excess skin you look fantastic!!!! Good work and congratulations on 124lbs down!!!! you are an inspiration. I hope to be as successful as you are when my time comes soon. Luv ya!

  • Thanks for sharing Mel..Love You, love you, love you...I pretty much figure I'll have the same issues once I lose all my weight. I will probably be shooting for plastic surgery as well. You've done such a great job losing your weight. We're very proud of you!!

  • Wow thank you for doing this vid! You look amazing but I can understand why you would want to get it. I am most surprised by the chest. I knew it would go down, but it's crazy how much of a difference there is. I'm curious to know how my end result will look cause my chest is my best feature too. Your awesome and inspired me so much through my wls process (2 months in now yayyy!!). Good luck on your plastic surgery!

  • WOW Mel, your awsome to put yourself out there like that. All is going to be worth it in a few months......

  • I feel you have done a wonderful job! but it is what it is. You still are you. and your heart is still you. all that looks good isn't/ well enough of that but I think you are AWESOMMME! GOD BLESS YOU DEAR. GOD LUCK ON YOUR SURGERIES.

  • THANKS SOOOO MUCH FOR THE VIDEO

  • well you look great any way!! I feel for you, you have come so far and worked so hard and you deserve the tummy tuck. cant wait to see!!!

  • Mel, its OK. And I know that even WHEN I lose my weight after surgery, I am sure that I will be pointing out all of the things that I am not happy with, we are women, its what we do. Just know that you do look great and I am proud of what youve done..and if I have a nickel in my bank account by the time I lose mine, I am getting a beyonvce butt and a tummy tuck LOL! Full Speed Ahead Mel!

    Love Ya...CoCO

  • Melanie..........it hurts me to hear such a beautiful young woman call herself disgusting. It is just loose skin and way better than the unhealthy fat. Of course you are young and want to feel womanly and desirable.........but you are so much more than a body. Happy you ae getting the chance to make changes and I hope they are all you dream of. xox

  • You are so brave and I am so proud of you. I've lost 95 pounds and am older so my skin does not have the elasticity and I sag in more places including arms, legs and booty. It's sad. Thank you for being willing to share about your surgery journey too.

  • Thanks again Melanie for being so transparent and honest about your entire WLS journey. Also, thank you for sharing with all of us!

  • You are so amazing. You are inspirational. For you to put yourself out there and bare all is courage not to many women have and I want to thank you. So many people only show you the good side but you showed your whole journey. I have learned so much from you. You are truly a weight loss sensation. Great work

  • LOL at the squeezing belly fat shot I do that all the time. Thanks so much for posting this. Its nice having you ahead of me on this journey so I know what I have ahead of me. Of course you had to pick a song that makes me cry! Its crazy to think your a 4 with the extra skin....youre gonna be sooo tiny once its gone. Thanks again!

  • You are beautiful and so brave, Mel. I can only hope to be half as successful as you. I love how you show the reality of WSL. Not just statistics or one-sided opinions. You're so great and keep on trucking!

  • Has to be the greatest video's i have ever watched, Mel u are beautiful on the inside and out and i cant wait to see ur videos after ur surgery good luck with it all.

  • I wish I could give you 10 stars for your honesty. You've truly shown the reality of weightloss and have given us alot of food for thought. {{{hug}}}

  • mel you still look great anyway... do what you have to do for you. you will look great regardless. thanks for showing us the this video. it takes alot of courage to show this. you came a long way!!

  • I saw nothing gross on this video. It takes great amount of bravery to show yourself like this, and thank you. You look beautiful, even with the bit of excess flab. Thank you again for sharing this. It's something I need to keep in mind!

    Much love!

  • Thank you so much for this video Melanie. You continue to be such an inspiration and a beautiful human being. You are going to look amazing after your plastic surgery, can't wait to see the updates. On a side note, I was just wondering do you ever wear spanx or other "fajas" currently? I was just wondering how well those things would disguise the excess skin under the clothes because after I lose the weight, I plan on wearing those for awhile until I can afford plastic surgery. Take care!

  • Melanie, I have to say. The thing I have always adored about you is the fact that you have the "balls" to tell it like it is. You are beautiful no matter what. It's not disgusting like you think it is, but I want to see you truly happy and comfortable with yourself because you have worked so hard to get where you are. Do what is going to make you happy, Mel. We love you no matter what. Much love, Paulette

  • OMG THANKS SO MUCH FOR SHARING. My boobs are starting to get that way and its sooooo nice to see I'm not alone. NOBODY shows you that side of it. I plan to get cosmetic surgery when I get to goal too. Added to my favorites

  • im really glad you made this video i was go take my money and pay off my car im now putting it in a saving acct just in case i need surgery please let us know how you surgery go i may need their number next year if im going threw all this weight lost i want to be able to wear a bikini to so i understand why now.

  • WOW!!! Super brave of you! Do what you got to do for your self, do not listen to the haters.

  • this is a great video to post mel. It is important for us to think about the skin and stretch marks before we are finished losing the weight. You still look amazing and january is just around the corner too girl!

  • I can only imagine how hard this was for you to share but I know you have helped me tremendously by revealing all. I am sure at the end of my journey I will need the same cosmetic surgery as well and I might as well include that when considering the financial aspects as well.

You look great and I am sure you will feel much better after your surgery in January! Congrats.

  • Thank you for the courage to show us why you are getting the surgery you are truly a beautiful person inside and out :)
