  • McDonalds cashier is a terrible job. But this Asian guy's job just plain sucks.

  • BOOM! lmao

  • hahaha hes the man!

  • 1:01 - BOOM!

  • This guy gave a seminar at my martial arts school...he's fast as hell and used to teach SEALS hand-to-hand. They used to go to biker bars on Friday nights to practice, he said. Scary thing was, sometimes the bikers would win...

  • He grabs you here and .... Boom you just slap.

  • "or you can slap the groin" ha

  • chuck norris prays to paul vunak before battle

  • That asian guy is like 'I am NOT getting paid enough for this job.'

  • wheezy waiter brought me here :)

  • You can slap the ear; you can slap the groin! Hide your kids; hide your wife! Will someone please mash those two up?

  • Rick James: '' Hey Charlie Murphy...let me tell you a joke Charlie...what does 5 fingers say to the face?'' Charlie Murphy:'' Huh? '' Rick James:'' SLAAAAAAAAAP!!! ''

  • I haven't got any fuckin ear's they were pulled off by a drowning midget (dont try so save drowning midgets) they just pull your ear's off.

  • rocco siffredi showing self defense techniques?!? :D

  • Sneaky fucking bastard going for the ear.

  • at 21 sec he gets serious

  • nice shorts

  • Very underated technique, use this on the doors.nobody admits they were knocked out from a slap.Stops all 3rd party activity.Regards.

  • @earlbailey1

    agreed

  • Man, I keep trying and trying but can't get that limp wrist control........

  • @gr8rootbear Just relaxe think of skimming stones on water you dont do that with a tensed hand,

  • omg what happened to the old fashion knee to the ballz then get the fukk out technique...

  • If you successfully slap someone in the ear one good slap , you've already won .

  • I don't think you could do this in front of a mirror without seeing you look like a pansy

  • @ataraxic89 Doesn't matter what you look like,it matters what works when your well being is on the line!!

  • holy crap he looks really fast :D SlapMaster!

  • Something tells me that if he slapped me I wouldn't be getting up for some months.

  • the ear slap is sooooo hard man...and so painful

  • In regards to the 8 tools.. Remember the JKD concept of using what works for you. His way may not be your way.

  • "BOOM"

  • 1:43.... to run, and that's what you are looking for. You don't have to punch the assailant out, just escape.

  • I like what he says about 8 tools instead of 8000. Eight is enough

  • is it also good to slap both ears at the same time with both hands? As though you were applauding

  • @leander24 Leaves you open though. Works if you can do it

  • lol i thought this was actually pretty good until it zoomed out and i saw his shorts

  • Mmmm ... think ill stick with a left hook to the jaw. But thanks anyway for the slap tip

  • fag

  • To MistyCcal, using an open-hand strike instead of a closed fist will ALWAYS be better for your case in a court of law. Slapping is not judged nearly as severely as punching.

  • @jsmitty227 I agree with you. It does the impact to protect without visual damage.

  • The benefits to rocking back are that it allows you to build up momentum for a better snap when you slap. Rocking back also allows you to draw your opponent in a little closer which will help increase the effectiveness of your strike.

I agree with you, though. An ear slap followed by something quick like a chin check will put almost anyone on their ass.

  • @jsmitty227 What's a chin neck?

  • I ko a big dude like this one night. No need to 'rock back'. Keep it loose, cup the hand and throw it as you would a hook. (Same torso movement).

A great combo is L slap hook to the ear, R straight palm strike , follow up L elbow. In quick combo this will ko ANYBODY. And save your hands breaking on the street.

  • wow really, how much you weight?

  • OH VERY NICE ADVISE TO DAMAGE ANOTHER HUMAN's BEING EAR. But do not advise on getting charged in court by doing so

  • It's a demo on self defense. Better a damaged ear than a lost life.

  • @MistyCcal Fuck that. The thug might be set on killing you. NO RULES, except ONE.. DON'T GET KILLED. Stay out of court

  • Some nice slaps

    watch?v=7L_AuvaWIh4

  • watch?v=5zhQb_nkR0U

  • Bas Rutten used the slap alot in Pancrase.

  • I have not seen Fedor or Randy using the slap method!

  • It's an illegal move I'd bet, but I have seen a fighter punch an opponents ear with close to the same affect. To do this in MMA would be the equivalent of eye gouging, fish hooking or that kind of thing.

  • This is self defence, not competition. Learn the difference, because there is one. A maaajor one. If you dont belivie me, ask yourself why for exempel the police train in Krav maga, kali or PFS instead of MMA.

  • Many people these days thinks that MMA is the only realistic method of personal defence, when in reality, as you say, it is a sport.

One of, if not the, hardest, most competitive and brutal sports around, but still sport.

People dont try to shove a fence picket your skull in MMA for example.

  • Maybe they don't know that technique! Your sporting idols are using gloves and they have to follow rules. Watch the original UFCs when Hackney knocked out the Sumo guy (Emmanuel Yarborough I think).

  • this video made me laugh

  • This is a brutal tecnique.

  • this combat very easy to learn

  • This guy's a good teacher.

  • 3 fast slaps to the head (right, left right) will casue an instant black out. Slaping is the best fighting style to use, if u do get into a fight an the guy takes you to caught how he gonig to sound saying he slapped me, yeh right fuck off

  • Paul Vunaks movements are insanely fast checkout some of his other videos i bet that he could get in five hits in on any of the people who were mocking him before any of them knew what happend

  • Paul VUnak is most likely one of the most practical teachers/fighters inthe free world! RIght on! Paul!

  • if it fails you will look like a pussy.

  • who cares what you will look like if the slap doesnt work? you can still keep hitting

  • I have to take issue with this video on two counts. 1. the bloke appears to be wearing a mini skirt. 2. the bloke appears to be wearing a mini skirt.

  • igibberl i just love people that watch videos and then go and tell everyone that they would kick that guys arse....u tosser..thats why Paul Vunak is famous and your a nobody.

  • yeah. i probably shouldnt have said that, i usaually am not a show-off.

  • IgibberI 30 seconds with that guy right? within 5 seconds you would be on the ground and the other 25 seconds you would be sucking your thumb, on the other hand if you did have the coconuts to get in his face i am sure that 30 seconds would overlap to 20 minutes of you debating that you can kick his butt while he just stands there watching you act as a fool

  • so. what kind of martial art are yo practising? i am training kyokushin 4 over 6 years. and i KNOW that a punch with your fist is ALLWAYS better than even a well-placed bitchslap. before this guy would have the opportunity to aim and do his lil thingy on me i would punch him 3 times. and i've never seen anyone even pro fighers standing after 3 good fists to the face.

  • In Kyokushin Karate, you neglect the head, and as a result, a closed fist is appropriate.

Against the soft muscles of the body, the knuckles and fist provide the concentrated power to cause sufficient damage.

However, versus the head, palm strikes are superior. This is logical, as they can be done as strongly as you like with out breaking your knuckles, fingers, wrist and joints. They're also faster, and can easily hurt the soft tissue in the face through scratching.

  • Also, this is self-defence, not martial art.

Martial arts focus on aesthetics and tradtion. It's also a sport and often point-based.

It's silly to assume that a martial art geared towards ring-fighting and tournaments, can trumph genuine self-defence. I can assure you that eye-gouges, groin-kicks, ear-slaps and various throat and neck attacks, are far more dangerous than what most martial arts have to offer.

  • all i'm trying to say is that its best to keep it simple. no fancy techiniqes. just be strong, fast and agressive. also we dont neglect the head, but when we are training we dont punch each other in the head, because afrte 10 trainings we would all become mentally handicaped :)

  • then u have never seen any real fights...several fighters have gotten 3 good shots to the face and kept standing...there are countless po boxers who have been hit repeatedly in the face and did not fall over...don't know what fights youa re watching???

  • ok i overreacted about not beeing able to stand after 3 hits. but still i belive that 3 hits are better than 1 slap.

  • WUT? gimme 30 seconds with this guy and he's a goner :/. lemme tell you something: in a real fight with no rules you CANT aim verry well when some1 is trying to punch you, so basicly direct damage techniqes simply wont work. there is no way around to learn self-defence, if you dont wanna be somebodys bitch, you just got to train hard.

  • why dont you check out his other video Paul Vunak - Lethal combo, head butt to the motorcycle helmet, i'd love to see you and him for 30 seconds

  • I've been martial artist for years, and I can vouch from years as a bouncer that a well placed ear slap with a cupped palm is devastating. Nice clip.

  • What can it cause?

  • It can produce a knockout in general, and at the very least you'll greatly disturb an opponent's equilibrium. I hope I don't have to explain what an advantage that can be. haha

  • Nah you don´t have to explain. Allready got it. Thanks for the info. What do you think about Krav Maga?

  • well said bro im a medical student and the hollowed hand sends shockwaves thru the ear easily bursting ear drum , timpanic membrane and can throw someone off balace easily

  • slap is more dengerous from small distance then punch, if you dont train any cqb wing tsun or silat this slaps are great for self defence

and belive me if you slap somebody at the ear harenough you will brake the ear drum causing the oponent whisling sound and break his gravity, becouse ear is also center of human gravity...

to punch hardenough and good so you dont brake yours hand or hurt wrist takes time slapsomebody at eyes or ears dont

  • SEAL instructor....civilian....it is legit...

  • actually he is better because he trains them. but honestly though,he looks like a gay eric stoltz

  • this guy isnt a navy seal common

  • no-one said he was

  • doesn't work.

  • no one cares what you think dmasterman,go watch ufc or pride or something

  • Nope, people do. That's why they bother reading my comments and commenting back to me. You probably learned something from me.

  • i would rather punch a guy and then get the shit kicked out of me than slap a guy like a fucking woman.

  • "i would rather punch a guy and then get the shit kicked out of me than slap a guy like a fucking woman. "

Russian torturers in the gulags used slaps. Slap like a woman? Not very smart are you?

  • Try this: Take your hand, cup it and slap yourself in the ear just lightly. Hear that ringing? Now imagine doing it as hard as you can to someone. It works well. Can rupture the eardrum easily.

  • actually you can KO people with a slap alot easier than with a punch and you have less chance of getting put away for it quite a few guys in the military advocate slaps and palm heels as it saves your hand so talk to them and yeah you could punch him then take a kicking but why would you take a kicking your just inviting some guy to stamp you skull into dust

  • makes em punch drunk. if you do it on both sides it maxes the effect. slaps can knock people out more then punches believe it or not. as your transfering the energy/power of the hit more in the slap then you are in a punch. PLUS you dont danage your hand as much.

  • how about you stick your finger in the ear and stab the ear drum

  • lol

  • boom SLAP! paam SLAP! LOL

  • questa serve solo a fare male.

  • dude...that shit hurts...

did it in trainin and everyone had to get it done to them to see the cause of pain you can do...

  • dude iot works!!!

  • lol dat test guy was scared to get hit

  • This is good stuff! I like!

  • wery good!

  • onoz what if i already know 8000 techniques?!?! get out of my head!!!!!

  • it was a bit funny when he took a step back from the camera and was wearig those ridiculous shorts.

  • thats what i said...who does that?

    he looked like richard simons

  • he just made bitchfigths a whole lot more dangerous hee hee hee

  • once i was little i was playing with anoter kid and i slapped his ear, his ear was watering and then he was a little deaf since that time

  • Did he really just smack da' shit out of my manz shoulder like dat?LMAO!

  • regardless of all the comments,no one can deny vunak is a bad dude!

  • According to ancient teaching the best way to truly rid yourself of your enemy is to make him your friend. So instead of slapping the ear or groin one should attempt to whisper in the ear and/or massage the groin. Just a thought.

  • Want to be friends?

  • Oh my, that has to be one of the funniest, if not the funniest comment I've seen on Youtube! "Want to be friends?" Haha- yeah really!

  • he is a seal six member

  • That sounds nice, but it all depends on how many bones you're willing to let him break on your way to developing that friendship. Whispering sweet nothings in his ear as he's pounding my face in doesn't seem practical to me, but to each his own.

  • So if you do this, wont it make the guy permently deaf?

  • I guy just pushed your wife....she's pregnant. The child could have been damaged by the stress.Or scenario 2...guy wants to kill you because he's high on crank and feels like taking out his life troubles on your face. He's actually smiling at the thought of gouging your eyes out.

Now the question is...do you worry about his "well being" at this point.

Show your "compassion" to a man like that, and you'll be dead, permanently disfigured, or drooling the rest of your life.

    Fuck his hearing.

  • Im not saying you should use this move, Im just wonering if it makes them deaf forever? Im not no humanitarian bullshit, if someone has it coming there going to get it.

  • Oh I see. Well it could damage the membranes I guess. As far as permanent damage, I dunno. He might have frequent bouts of vertigo for a while though.

  • I don't know the repercussions but it's not meant to effect hearing at all. It's supposed to unbalance the equilibrium, which takes some off balance. Leaving them dizzy or unable function straight.

  • I've a great deal of respect for Vunak, more so than most other instructors. Regarding the comment to relax about raising the shoulder, you don't need to tense to do this, if you feel that is the case, more often than not that just means its a muscle group you need to tone up.

  • "or you can slap his groin"

    ouch.

  • Ear slap doesn't just effect the recipients equilibrium, it will blow out their eardrum.

  • either way not a very good day for the slap-ee

  • I used to think this guy was a hack, but after checking out a couple of his vids, I now have a deep respect for him.

  • This guy does look pretty skilled and knowledgeable, and certainly dangerous. (Not only because of his skills, but his general disposition!) However, I notice him doing something weird/idiosyncratic... When he strikes he raises/hunches his shoulders. AFAIK this is a "no-no" in nearly every martial art. Can anyone comment on this?

  • Afraid that is not true at all friend. In Muay Thai for example, depending on which branch, and some boxing, it is common to see shoulder hunching. This braces the neck for taking shots to the head, and is in accord with a tight small frame. My opinion.

  • You're right..."RELAX,RELAX, relax, shhh, relax!" If you tense up then you are dispensing energy rather than probing for energy.

  • It might arise out of his training in boxing, as it relates to street and knife-fighting. Without boxing gloves on, the neck is a particularly vulnerable target for punches. You want to make it as small a target as possible. And as DaiBoxer says, you can brace your head against your shoulder so that if you are hit on the chin, it has no place to go (it's the torque that can cause the knockout), if the chin is buttressed against the shoulder.

  • Hmmm I learned in my self-defense classes that you need to keep your shoulders raised so you can minimize a counter-attack frmo the opponent, when he tries to hit you on your head or your face.

  • It's also effective to use the back of the hand in a reverse tan sao slap using the secret kiai: "werzmimuniho ?"

  • that's properly called a 'bitch slap'!

  • Another 'navy seal'.

  • Endtheism, no disrespect but recently he was hired as a bodygaurd... by Ruas Gracie of the world famous Gracie family, who is a top mma fighter. Gracie is one of the best fighters in any sport in the world, and could have hired anyone, another mma guy, family member, pro bodygaurd, hell Tyson if he wanted to, but he hired Vunak. When a top mma fighter hires a bodyguard, and it is Paul Vunak, I think that speaks volumes the respect he has and his skills.

  • unintentional fun. He is a SEAL and military world-top trainers. He is really really famous. Just search on google.

  • Vunak it's simply great. But it makes me laugh at every explanation he does. BOOOM!!! POOOW!!! SLAAAM!!! BAAAM!!!! wherever he grabs you BAAAAAM!!!

    XD XD

anyway it's one of the best ^^

  • I was honestly trying to figure out of this Paul Vunak was joking. This is only the second clip of him I've seen. And each time I'm laughing. The look on his face is funny, the description are funny, and these absurd striking combos that I've never heard of is funny. Is this a joke and he's trying to be absurd, or is he really serious and unintentionally funny?

  • He was a trainer for the SEALS, so it's possible he might know what he's talking about. Maybe. Just a little bit.

  • I know what you mean, I always laugh whilst I watch him exlain with BOOOM! BAAAM! POOOW!. in fact, just way way he talks is funny! lol. Especially in the energy drill section. But yeah, he is one of the best

  • i agree that

  • and BAAM lmao I can just imagine

  • I know people get all irritatad when you mention UFC but ther's no rule against using earslaps in the octogon. If it's that effective why don't you see people 'earslapping' in there. Because puching someone in the face is more effective that's why. The proof is there for all to see. I've only seeen Sakuraba do it and that was just for entertainment. And don't bother telling me that earslaps are more efffective "on the street".

  • gee... i tried lightly slapping my ears... its making me queezy @_@ its ringing funny now =(

  • yeah, it doesn't take much. Imagine a full force slap. BAAM!

  • everybody is a critic... "hes good but im better" STOP guy... this instructor really knows his stuff and does not sell out to anyone. In addition, he is a direct student of dan inosanto who was Bruce's student and best friend.

  • An opened handed slap is an excellent strike. However, Pauls statement that one slap is better than five left hooks is untrue. A left hook landed cleanly is a fight ender. If one of my upper belts throws five left hooks, several will be landing on a sleeping opponent.

  • What if your attacker shoulder rolls / bob & weaves your "can't miss" R cross and you break your hand on the top of his skull: you have lost a weapon & he is now pissed...you are having a good day LOL! Murphy's Law always applies! Paul taught military H2H & knows DOD personnel do NOT have much time to train this stuff...certainly not to learn "proper" kickboxing technique!

  • this guy is brutal! vunak is about street reality!

  • If you can slap his ear with a cupped hand, you can punch his jaw with a right hook! Now that definitely WILL effect his equilibrium.

  • The cach with the slap is that you can produce a pressure big enough to brake the opponents Membrana tympani. Thats the membrane that devides the extern ear from the middle ear

  • I love the way he makes slapping the ear into a science, lol. but anyway though I would never recommend Paul to anyone you can't argue with physics and physiology, one ruptured ear drum takes 50% of his balance and he also goes into vertigo and it does'nt take a rocket scientist to deliver that strike

  • In all seriousness though, a good cupped-slap to the ear probably would mess you up pretty good.

  • LOL!!

    Good vid!

  • It does not take months to learn how to throw a punch. You can learn how to do it effectively in 15 minutes, and a slap is simply not an effective tool, no matter what he says. Go ahead and try it with your friends, limit him to slaps and you get to punch. See who wins.

  • you can cause an easy knockout with a slap. On your neck there is something called the coronary artery, slap that and it'll cause a knockout. The main thing to remember with slaps is to use the lower palm or the knife edge of your hand to contact as if you use your fingers you'll probably just piss the person off a little more.

  • Also it might take 15 minutes to learn how to throw a punch but to be an effective puncher you'd have to have at least a few months of practice.

  • when did it say here limit to slap, slap is used to throw people off balance then you follow through with punches. please follow what he said and not make things up

  • Just get a pad and try out what has more power to it. I'm sure you'll see that the slap is devastating and more natural than a punch. I have a friend who plays premier league handball and he nearly ripped my arm off with his slap. Try and see.

  • crack, you are on crack

  • ammmmaaaazing videos i love it

  • save your knuckle to complete thy mission.. =)

  • that is a brutal teqnique simple and effective, he really enjoys hitting the people; you can see him crack a smile time to time

  • Wouldn't go so far as to say a good slap is ALWAYS worth 5 good hooks. It's all about where, and how, you land it. Slapping the ear with a cupped hand though(like he demonstrates) is pretty much an assured fight ender when you land it correctly(just like a good hook to the chin). A blown eardrum ain't the easiest thing in the world to shake off.

  • Even if you don't hit the ear, when you hit any part of the face or head, that kind of strike is perfect for at least making a distraction and maybe confuse tour opponent for a couple of seconds, where you can move to another strike. Now, if the oponent blocks or evade your slap, that's another thing...

  • If you opponent blocks or evades the initial slap, follow through with more slaps. Become bent on chasing the guy down the road as you slap fiercely. Slap like a little school girl with mad cow disease. Become slap happy and don't stop until someone calls the cops on you for slapping someone unconscious. Who needs punches when you can slap? lol.

  • ok firstly if you slap someone the way i do they wont be standing let alone be slightly disoriented and to say a punch is better than a slap is like saying a 15 mm spanner is better than a 13mm?? well think about the job in hand before you decide on the tool needed.mark miller ..youtube check me out

  • robnajar,

Do your research on Paul Vunak before you take shots at him.

  • I have. I train with Erik Paulson. I know his background.

  • "One good slap is worth 5 left hooks?" I don't know who has been throwing punches at him, but that is the biggest load of crap I've heard all week.

  • It doesnt have the KO-power of five - or even one - good hook. However its easier to learn, more non-telegraphic, and very effective. Try doing that move on thigh using only your forearm, it is loud as hell and more immediate painfull than a fist. Imagin that with a full body and rotating force behind hitting an ear, there the loud noise and pain will have a huge shocking and psycological effect, and it might destroy the oppenents ability to balance.

  • gurojan,

I don't think anybody is trading because I agree that is wrong, but showing a preview of the dvds can only be a good thing. Imagine what the rest of the dvd is like if these short clips are this good! and the manufacturer name is shown at the start so people can go and buy them.

Look at how many more people will know of paul vunak after watching these!!

I personally would NEVER trade Dvds with anyone else.

    Just my opinion

  • Why dont you clowns Buy the videos do you think it is fair to the instructors for you to cheat them by trading. if my students did that i would crack thier skulls.
