Can't help but be reminded of Prowler by Iron Maiden. haha. The cover of this by Violent Soho is great by the way. Its on their myspace for those interested.
man u kiddn me atleast 2 of them look abov the age of 15, ne ways i saw this like 2 min ago on rage, can som1 tell me how to get my hands on some form of recording of it.
It took me 11 YEARS to get a copy of this. Eventually, a friend of mine took such pity on me that he managed to find me a 7" copy and had it sent to me. From Australia. It reamains one of my favourite songs.
I also love the fact that the band seem to have a collective age of about 30.
I had the good fortune to be live sound engineer for God. There is an album: For Lovers Only. This also has the band's previous mini-lp Rock Is Hell. None of these available as far as I know. God's label Augogo went out of business. Distributor Shock Records might have some your local store could order. On a good night these boys could singe yer eyebrows off and have you laughin' ya guts up at the same time. My Pal is one of those moments when everything went right.
thanks for sticking this up - this has been a favourite almost since it came out. I like the way the crappy worn out video tape adds a weird layer of warping to the sound too.
Paid a bomb for it in Vinyl Solution in Camden when it came out and must have put it on at least 20 cassettes. Wore the fucking thing out. Bloody love it.
The GOD 2CD reissue is out on Afterburn, through Missing Link Records.

There's a couple of websites for 'God' - Google them. Be careful what you type though - including 'Music' and 'My Pal' might be a good idea!
Otherwise you'll get inundated by the happy clappy squad asking you for money...
