  • i think neon indian raped xraydelta... do you have sand in your little vagina? go read a book or something dude.

  • I really like that they're actually a full live band. I thought they were just another one of them electro duos with machines but this makes them really.. cool...

  • @hyst3ricglamour YOU FUCKING CLUESLESS MORON ALL OF NEON INDIAN'S POPULAR MUSIC THAT YOU SO RECENTLY DISCOVERED WAS MADE ON HIS APARTMENT FLOOR WITH THREE KEYBOARDS A FEW GUITAR PEDALS AND ABLETON LIVE.

HIS MANAGEMENT AND HIM LATER PUT THIS "FAKE" NEON INDIAN COVER BAND TOGETHER SO THAT HE DIDN'T LOOK LIKE A FURRY-HEADED IDIOT SINGING KARAOKE TO HIS OWN TRACKS ON STAGE

THE MUSIC INDUSTRY IS AT AN ALL TIME LOW I THOUGHT IT WAS LOW WHEN KANYE WEST WAS GETTING POPULAR BUT IT HAS GONE LOWER

  • if you seriously think this is better than aphex twin or lcd you need to get your ears adjusted. theres really nothing too catchy about and the miami vice synths get old really quickly. theres no edge in this music but this dude is young and i give him props but come on

  • derek you are absolutely an idiot this shit is sick better than half the bands you named in fact

  • studio band is amazing, live everything is just killed

  • @jmd620 WHAT STUDIO BAND YOU MISINFORMING ASSHOLE ITS JUST ONE SUBURBAN WHITE WASHED MEXICAN KID.

  • @xraydelta1 in the studio, the music made is good. it doesn't sound as good live, in my opinion. dickhead

  • ah this was the better of there live performances ive watched

  • Neon Indian is really overrated.. Sure, deadbeat summer is a nice tune, but only for a few listens. They have a special sound, which is nice, but how could their album get a 8,6 rating from pitchfork??

  • Because it sounds amazing. Why else? They're not overrated, either, so get over that.

  • So, Neon Indian is overrated but pitchfork isn't?

  • In my opinion, yes. I often agree with ratings made by pitchfork, more than I do with ratings by rollingstone magazine for example..

  • I've listened to a bunch of their stuff a bunch of times and it's yet to get old. They're wonderful if you ask me.

  • with "a bunch of their stuff" you mean their only album which is only 30 minutes? :P

  • No, I mean what's available on youtube.

  • youre an idiot

  • merry christmas to you to!

  • i dont think you've given their album a listen, if you did and didnt like it either you just dont like electro, or you have poor taste in music.

  • I love electronic music artists like Aphex Twin, Kraftwerk, Manuel Göttsching, Tangerine Dream, Klaus Schulze, Daft Punk, Justice, LCD soundsystem etc. I also love it when a group does something out of the "mainstream agenda" which Neon Indian have done. But I get tired of the songs after only a few listens.. And btw, who makes an album that is only 30 minutes long?? But hey, People have different tastes in music, and mine just doesn't include Neon Indian, that's all :)

  • enough name dropping i get it.

  • no one cares

  • @Dereck89

    I agree.

Vampire Weekends first album was really short... like 40 something minutes.

  • M.I.A and Vampire Weekend made albums that are roughly 30 minutes long. What was your point with that?

  • @Dereck89

wow. you know so many cool bands...i wish i were you. except not. tool.

  • @Dereck89 NO OFFENSE BUT YOU JUST NAMED 8 OF THE MOST MAINSTREAM ELECTRONIC ARTISTS IN THE HISTORY OF MANKIND.

NEON INDIAN IS DEFINITELY MAINSTREAM AND TRENDY AND FASHIONABLE. THEY PROMOTE THEMSELVES ON FUCKING NYLONTELEVISION FOR CHRIST'S SAKE.

TAKE A LOOK AT ALL THEIR WELL PLACED MAGAZINE ADS AND BILLBOARDS AND YOU WILL SEE THE REAL TRUTH YOU DOPED UP MORON.

JUST BECAUSE LONG AGO PUNK ROCKERS WERE COOL ABOUT THAT KIND OF SHIT DOESN'T MEAN TODAYS KIDS KNOW HOW TO BE THAT WAY.

  • @xraydelta1 sure, they are mainstream now, but at the time they made their albums the sound was new. Klaus Schulze moved away from Tangerine Dream to make more minimalistic and less "spacey" music. Listen to "cyborg" and you will know what I mean. Autobahn was a first move out of the krautrock scene for Kraftwerk, and a move into modern electronics. "Neon indian" along with "Washed Out" were two of the bands who made chill-wave popular, and therefore I didn't consider them mainstream.

  • @Dereck89 NO OFFENSE, THERE WAS NO "AT THE TIME." UNLIKE OTHER BANDS, ALAN PALOMO FACE DIDN'T HAVE TO STRUGGLE BECAUSE THE INDUSTRY WAS SO HUNGRY THAT THEY PICKED HIM UP AND PUT HIM ON TOUR IN LESS THAN A FEW MONTHS AFTER THE RELEASE OF HIS DEMO. HIS ROCKSTAR CAREER WAS A DROP IN THE BUCKET. COMPLETELY CONTRIVED AND STAGED. YOU MUST GIVE POSTERITY ONLY WHERE IT IS DUE.

  • This was pretty sloppy.

  • hipsteeer wooo ??

    lol

  • don't like it, eps. how it looks

  • Really like the live act. it's never easy for an "electronic" band to transition easily but this looks and sounds pretty crisp. good job alan paola (sic.)/vega/neon indian

  • i think it's alan palomo

  • glad the live instruments are on board, it probably helps liven it up a bit

  • more videos of neon indian please !!!

  • I look forward to seeing him live

  • SICK BRO!

  • the live act looks damn goood!
