  • you guys are fuckin ripped!

  • DnB in the background D:

  • Would 'Akrowheels' be good to use for this?

  • Haha i climb there periodically.. Good work keep it up.

  • If you curl your wrists in, it will make it much easier....give it a shot.

  • Dude is strong. Though on proper rings this is even harder due to the stablization required. Need to have strong biceps and forearms to not fry your elbow tendons too - this issue (tendon strength) gets worse with age if you haven't been a gymnast from an early age.

  • I was 13, i did this with no problems. Now i am 20 and i swear to god..u must be

very very strong to do this,

Or have some good shakes ;).

  • hahaha i'm from guelph! where is that?

  • If you have access to rings, it's easy to get to. Just try going a little lower each time. Eventually, you got it!

  • what are the main muscles used to do this?

  • @paulflo12 The Iron Cross is really a testament to your entire upper body - it's one of those most difficult moves to perform, and even harder the variations (such as maltese, inverted, victorian). It uses your shoulders, traps, triceps, pretty much everything.

  • @MstrJames I think that if you are using all those muscles just for a cross, you are probably doing it wrong. For a simple cross, all you need to do is roll your shoulders forward and lock into it. It requires almost no strength at all except for your bicep. Maltese and planches are a completely different story.

  • @Wangtang6911 very interesting. can you please link to a vid where someone is clearly doing it properly, or progressing towards it properly? thx.

  • @MstrJames Iron cross harder than inverted and VICTORIAN..omg, no

  • @Powerman8885

Re-read my statement. I said "And EVEN harder the variations" not "Even harder THEN the variations" the variations are much harder. I realize I was a bit unclear and my sentence could of been worded better.

  • @MstrJames Oh sorry-my fault. =)

but..No!-by the way i would say iron cross vs maltese is arguable. The rest is clearly harder than cross. I think for people(like me) who did planches on the ground and then got to rings maltese is easier to learn than cross

  • @paulflo12 judging by the guy in the video you would need at least a book to list them all...

  • just try to do it on the rings you have in gymnastics competitions, you'll see the difference ;) nice work actually

  • @KalaXionE lol gymnastic comps have 9 foot straps i think. my school has rings as well, but 20 + foot long straps , its rediculous just trying to do dips, supports, muscle ups . i figure once i can do a cross on that , ill be able to do weighted crosses on regular straps lol

  • its harder on the actual rings

  • Really strong dude. Good work!

  • Fantastic work mate. Very good

  • if u were to increase the length of the rope that hangs the ring, its so much more difficult

  • HOW OLD ARE YOU???

  • @illinisports217 at the time, 19

  • Is this at a climbing gym?

  • @missjambalaya Yup it's the Guelph Grotto

  • Good work! Funny ending! Thumbs up!!

  • how old r u now

  • Hehe, that body structure reminds me of Bruce Lee. :D

Pretty kickass, I couldn't hold that for even half a second. :P

  • damn ey you're so strong and fit!

how do you can do that?

  • Strong stuff, bro--keep at it!

  • AWESOME - good achievement!!

  • I stumbled onto your channel and I'm super impressed. How did you initially start your training? I'm doing research myself now, and using a few internet sources like TT, and beast skills to get form and technique.

  • Very close. Probably a month of less left of training. And seeing as there are 1 month old comments, i would imagine that you have it already.

  • james ur goal was to do 5 soild seconds ur goal is nearly accomplished u r 1 second off from what i see in this video keep kicking ass james keep practicing
