Funkiest song ever....WHAT.Funkiest group matter o factly KNOWN AS THE U.S FUNK MOB hands down the greatest group of Musical Artist ever put together..................THANKS .GEORGE.
Bootsy Collins. Who knew Fred Wesley, Maceo Parker, the Brecker Brothers and Joe Farrell played on this album. If I remember right, Parliament, Funkadelic and Bootsy's Rubber Band sometimes all played together. The total number of musicians were about 50.
I got tickets for my 14 birthday too see Parliament when they came too my city in CT.. Flashlight was rocking then. Thanks again sis and her boyfriend!!!!
Yes George Clinton was the Master mind behind the funk.Good job George i loved it in those days still do,had alot of good memories in those days. Thanks
I seen this in concert it was an excellant show,The Mothership Connection,i also seen the Aqua boogie show that was layed back,i loved that concert,i was STARCRACKER,i was the onlyest one from my planet there.LMBO
When I first heard this song, my best friends sat me down on their couch gave me some shrooms and said, "close your eyes and let these songs take you on a journey. " I came back realizing that I am a star knight on the mothership of love and peace.
Saw the whole gang back in 1975 in Norfolk ,Virginia while stationed aboard the USS Foreestal ( CVA-59). Great times with bros from NYC,Pennsylvania,Jersey,Florida, and Connecticut....
It's nothing wrong wit ur radio . The Mother Ship has taken over the station . So fire up and sit back and enjoy the ride . It ani't nothing but a party

@Brennna Wow that was nice. Never got to see the Mothership live. I wanted to go see them back in 78 in Phlly when Flash Light was out but got scared cause they said some dude got shot at the concert. Thats when things started getting crazy.
@lllULTIMATEMASTERlll Now don't go hating on ScyL0n. The Funkapus possessed that poor soul and Dr Funkenstein has scheduled the surgery to reverse the assendectomy. As for me, I'm still the Long Haired Sucker even tho I don't have long hair any mo..or hair for that matter!

This will be played at my funeral...regardless of the fact that it will be almost one hundred years old then...yeah, I'm young and groovin to this shit. :)
I was 7yrs old, it was 1984. I was exploring my parents record collection. I found this album and instantly drawn to the cover. I grabbed the huge white and black RCA headphones that my father held so dear. Dropped the needle on this album and from the first song on I knew it. It made sense why I felt so different in a world that was telling me what to be and do. That sweet chariot indeed did swing down and carried me home. P-Funk forever.

It was 1974, I was 22 years old and I was in my black 1968 Volkswagon Beetle with red interior sitting with my homie Winston Long, 6'5" former defensive end for the Chicago Bears in Westchester, NY smoking weed and drinking Jack Daniels sometime after midnight, when this song came on over the radio and my life changed forever.
this is weed smokin music where you can just chill or lightly dance with a friend.
