At the end of the 1973 War, Israeli forces were within 50 miles of Cairo. So I would say Israel won it. Unfortunately, in the Arab countries, it is part of their education to believe they won it. Israel only gave back the Sinai in exchange for formalizing relations with Egypt and peace. Look at a map at the end of the war, but before the war officially ended. Israel will actually have surrounded Egypts Army and have more territory under its control than it had to start with.
