I looked into to the song history, the song was commissioned by Discovery and created by a independent music company especially for this commercial. Good luck finding it. (I think yellow pages uses it now)

Those pits are actually really deep caves in Mexico. They are so deep that when they go into them to explore, they base jump into it (parachute) and to get out they use a winch attached to a pickup to pull them up. Pretty intense.

One question answered! After looking several times at the clip, I would agree it is AC/DC with Bon Scott, but that is Cliff Williams on bass, Angus does not appear. The images, while blurry, of the left arm and shoulder do seem to match up with the Bonster's tats he had. I Emailed sesnsei studios about some details of the ad, but alas no reply, still a great ad! I watch this clip often and yes, I too wish Discovery would air it again.

This turns off depression for anyone. Why can't there be more commercials like this that have meaning? Many ads these days advertise beer and sex that your mind tends to forget what there is to live for in your life. It's nice just to get a break from all the misconceptions on tv and have a moment to relax. Even is just for a few seconds.
