Fear should not lead in decisionmaking. The foreign (terroristic) threat to the US will reduce when the feeling of safety in for example the middle east will grow by less threat by the US.
It's not a weak call from Obama, by taking this step he actually makes US citizens safer.

How do we dismantle N. Koreas Nukes? How do we stop Iran from building Nukes? It's in the Iranian presidents religion to lie if it is seen beneficial to them.
The only way you could disassemble all nukes is if every country allowed unfettered access throughout anywhere in the country so all hidden sites can be discovered. How do you do such a thing? This would never happen.

It's rather amusing how people forget about how this mess actually started. During the Clinton Admin. they touted that everyone deserved a home, so they lowered requirements which allowed people to acquire homes who could not afford them. Over the years, these bad loans grew and grew until the point that it collapsed the system. Bush made the mistake of not getting rid of these policies. I'm not a Bush Fan, but it did start with Dems and NOW Obama is throwing away $ hand over fist

He is doing NOTHING for small business to encourage new hires; he's discouraging us from hiring. He hasn't a clue about running business and how to encourage employment.
