  • This is very relevant now, great book!

  • Look at what happened at APEC in Vancouver in 1997 - dissent and protest was repressed.

  • The Real News rocks! It's disgusting that our so-called MainStream Media doesn't have the balls nor the will to report truthful, relevant news like this. MSM has become nothing more than a propaganda tool for the powers-to-be ... pure bullshit & cannot be trusted in any way.

And I agree ... the cops, politicians, & whoever else is behind & involved in this tyranny must disappear. The 9/11 lie and the Economic Meltdown scam have proven that the Law will NEVER hold these criminals accountable.

  • hmmm Europe has protest problems I am pretty sure our protest will become violent soon then the whole world will have problems 2012 the world isnt gonna end but all hell will brake loose when Europe has uncontrollable riots, we have a failing economy, which will lead to riots, and the rest of the world will try to hold back angry angry people

  • It's a lot harder to buy a demonstration then to buy a politician.

  • One of these days some deranged individual is going to get the idea that protesting is best done with a high powered hunting rifle 500 or 600 yards behind police lines.

I'd love to see that... 150 or so cops blocking passage on the street whilst beating their sheilds... two or three of them drop from a head shot fired from some balcony 5 city blocks away... cop pandamonium breaks loose...

I hope some well armed cop hating deranged individual just had a seed planted...

  • @tvr390se Well said! It is high time that these traitor cops and politicians were fed some of their own medicine and sent a definitive message. These pigs are criminals and are the peoples enemy. This shit has got to stop!

  • Demonstrating and striking is the biggest physical power people have over the tyrants(apart from fighting back in self-defence). That's why the tyrants made voting legal and striking/demonstrating pretty much illegal. They want you to BELIEVE in voting. Because when you believe in voting, then you don't strike/demonstrate. It's a magician's trick: They trick you in having "power" and at the same time they manage to stop you from using your BIGGEST weapon.

  • @alriha77 " is the biggest physical power people have over the tyrants(apart from fighting back in self-defence). "

    Wrong.

As Napoleon said, 'the side which stays within their fortifications loses"... referring to self defence...

People who are awake and desire freedom to ask themselves this: "is it alright for me to take the life of one or more of the criminal elite, moreover the lives of those who protect them to?"

Would shooting a gas chamber guard @ Auschwitz be morally okay?

  • SAYING HELL NO WITHOUT BEING ARMED IS JUST SILLY, HAVING A SIGN IN HAND IS NOT GOOD ENOUGH, WHEN THOSE GUYS IN BLACK HAVE GUNS.

  • protest by withdrawing your labour or striking. Encourage millions of people to simultaniosly draw all of their money out of the banks on the same day. Boycott places like Walmart by not using their stores. Hit 'The Power' in its pocket. Protest smarter not harder

  • Who are these 3,664 people and me who liked this video. I wish my friends would. i wish I had others to talk to about the very things I feel are so important now...but I don't.

  • Land of The Free!

*some restrictions apply - void where prohibited*

  • If I was organizing a protest, I would just choose a date and then encourage everybody to commit an act of civil disobedience on that particular day and in any community of their choosing. I would choose the date but not the time of day.

A person could do whatever they choose to do, (in the dark of night if need be) but on a particular date.

And it should happen month after month (Perhaps week after week) but on a specific date. (ie July 1-7-14-21-28 ---- August 1-7-14-21-28)

  • Protesting outside of a bank is stupid. Protesting outside of a government office is stupid.

The most effective protest is to prevent any movement of goods by railways. 80 percent of all goods move by rail.

There is a railway passing through the center of every city in North America.

The immigrant protests of 2006 were successful because they shut down several major cities and no business was able to transport or receive goods and services.

    Continued next post ....

  • The days of Organized Protest "Parades" are over!

Every organization effort will be infiltrated by the police military establishment.

Future protests must be performed by stealth.

In olden days it was thought to be prudent to invite the media in order to gain the publicity, but not today. The media will only photo and film the protest and give it to the powers that be upon request.

Protest parades to the capital city is stupid. Advance warning is stupid.

    I'll continue next post

  • it's really sad that there's only a high turn-out when it's about people's own asses... better than nothing, i suppose but still...

  • LOL! don quichotte in the background? now there's a nice symbolic faux pas ;)

  • "ADVANCED ECONOMIES" OKEY DOKEY.

  • Wonderful (if scary) interview. Thanks.

  • workers and students of the world Unite!

you have nothing to lose but your chains

  • and when you seen unmarked VAns and Cars with out of unifrom cops who do not identify themselves the whole crowd needs to decend and stop the car from moving and free the illegally kidnapped people, they may arrest you, but so what, in the end the vast majority of there tactics are actually illegal anwyway, so us as citizens are actually in the right. i dunno just a few ideas to cripple there ability to oppress us openly with out relying on actual violent ressistance,

  • we need to use technology and tactics to combat the tactics used against us, and be willing to stand and fight when the clubs and sheilds come out, use things like DOS attacks to hamper there communications, oil paint bombs on there masks so they can not wipe them off they have to leave the police line, when they are replaced paint bomb them and so on, pick up tear gas canisters when launched and throw them back, disable poilce vehicals, CONT

  • All this was prophesied by author Betram Gross in his book "Friendly Fascism" published in 1980!

  • @YouTube, Watch this, you fucks

  • You've got a lot of people that are around today that were not around during any of the huge anti-war or civil rights marches in DC. You're talking well over 500,000 people.

We're heading straight for THOSE KIND OF NUMBERS.

There is NO WAY they are going to be able to stop it or control it.

  • Why is anyone who protests agains the "G" e.g. G20 meetings labelled an Anarchist?

Wouldn't it be more accurate to label them as anti-Globalists?

    I DOUBT they advocate Anarchy.

In fact, BUSINESS (and some of the Elites) advocate Anarchy, in that they advocate that they should have the right to do whatever they please, AND not pay taxes, by keeping tax loopholes that they can use to prevent themselves from being taxed..

  • Teabaggers can show up on the courthouse steps loaded for bear, yet any demonstration the least bit lefty gets put in a pen blocks from the object of their protests.

Progressives should concentrate on holding lectures, social gatherings, and rallies. These will be surveyed by security forces, but shutting them down, or beating them down, becomes problematic.

Developing a welcome public presence is the best demonstration of political strength.

Percieved ties to rape-kit Anarchists must end.

  • @PRIVATEAYEIEYE The Teabaggers (with the exception of a few dedicated libertarians)serve the corporatist agenda hence the extented coverage given which is hugely disproportionate to their #'s!

  • @partymariner Of course! But I gotta tell you, I am against Libertarian philosophy. I'll leave it at that. I'm not in the mood for an argument.

  • @PRIVATEAYEIEYE You won't get an argument from me. I agree with libertarian stances on civil liberties and issues of personal freedom (ex. drug use & airport pat downs), but applied to economics, I think they are quite disasterous.

  • @partymariner My pat jab at Libertarians is; "Go back to Haiti!"

I tend to think that they agree on MY idea of civil liberties, and then drive the bus off the cliff. They seem to promise the world to every sociopath, pervert, corporatist, you name it. They're all carrot and no stick. Utopian.

Their idea of the free market is as silly to me as Free Love, or Marx's classless society; only with a corporate boot in.

  • You sweety stupid ass speak as if a FEW DAYS WERE A COUPLE OF FUCKING MINUTES TURD?

  • It is a shame that the entire US government and the media won't promote the right to protest. It is a right. They make you get a permit. A permit is something you get when you ask permission to do something that would be otherwise illegal. To protest is not an illegal event, it is a RIGHT, provided by the Bill of Rights. The right to assemble is not illegal, therefore no permit is required.More oppression, they have and will continue to bring in tyranny. They are shutting off all forms of descent.

  • the media never reports on protests over 130 people were arrested in front of the white house and not a peep on Msnbc or Fox and you would think Fox would have eaten it up we live in a information bubble and a censorship bubble

  • Protest only works when it is organized and sustained. In Egypt the police crackdown just encouraged more and more people to get out on the streets. When you refuse to be intimidated no matter what, that is when you win.

  • @blackiron60 When are going to protest in mass? The politicians care not what happens to the masses!

  • @blackiron60 in egypt the military gov't is taking back control from the people (recently they decided to bar international monitors in the upcoming election). they're not exactly winning.

  • Creepy

  • We've lost the protections of the 4th Amendment & the govt. still seems incredulous that we don't want to raise their corrupted debt ceiling. Let's break this totalitarian empire's back once & for all. Let's make them go broke & Americans can reclaim the America of our founding, the America worth fighting for, the America that restores our rights & liberties. Aren't you tired of seeing Americans die for Halliburton & Coca-Cola? Please consider Ron Paul in 2012.

  • Excellent informative interview. Of course, those who thought that the so called 'Terrorist Legislation' was designed against bona fide terrorists were wrong. The main question remains though, what forms of mass Resistance are the most effective, when more and more avenues of protests the establishment curtails?

  • @wotan20 Personally, I think the most effective mass protest is one that effects the money that revolves around whatever you are protesting... The back of the bus movement is my favorite example of this. It was really when a mass amount of the black community and the white supporters of the movement refused to use the bus system for I think over a year, that there was change in "policy" and caused an acknowledgement of equal rights... they weren't making enough money

  • Excellent !

  • Our troops are being killed over seas to protect our freedom and right to protest. If we are not allowed to exercise this right, then these heros die in vain.

  • "Your right to dissent" OR "You're right to dissent".

  • @patrickcorliss

    Both!

  • @patrickcorliss epic pun is epic

  • @patrickcorliss I'll take number 2

  • This is really sad. I guess it means civil war. If we cannot manifest peacefully, people will use violence instead. Otherwise, the state will just get more and more violent. I guess we have to pay to get a revolution.

  • The protests in the west aren't nearly as violent as the situation would dictate. Everyone is of the mind that they can facilitate change through "peaceful" non-compliance while they're being beaten with a truncheon, sprayed with chemicals, and locked in a cage.

It's completely asinine and I'm tired of hearing how peaceful everyone should be while those in power continue to use obscene amounts of barbaric violence.

Ten children agonizingly starved to death while I typed this.

  • @VeracityMedia I think the biggest problem is how we react when we finally do use violence. in early 2010 there was a riot in oakland as a reslut of a slap on the wrist sentencing of a cop who shot a subdued man exicution style... once the police started backing off and the violent protesters got controll of the street they broke into a footlocker. in athens they burnt down the bank and there wasn't mass looting or brutallity when police abandoned but in america it would be Cali 1992 all over

  • The only thing that stopped the first right wing putsch in Germany in the Weimar Republic was a general strike.

We're too fragmented as a society to do that anymore.

  • Now, where does this fit in to your left-right paradigm?

  • Great idea we take away freedom in defend of freedom. Seams like the right way (irony if someone missed it) ;-(

  • 10.41 the cowards are scared of lots of things- organised, nationalised, protests and opposition to what they want is certainly one of them. They want rid of democracy completly, you can just vote for a powerless corporate employee today. All illusions!

  • 1.36 - 58 Don Quijote your chacing windmills the protests over vietnam did little, egypt was a set up manipulated by the corporates, before Iraq Britian had the biggest protest in British history, it did nothing, a protest has to have some form of effect on the powers that be, other wise it is pointless, boycotting corporate products would have more impact then marching in the streets.

  • @099749 Perhaps the anti-war marches in London made no immediate difference but without them it's likely that Tehran would be would be under occupation,or at least a similar bombing campaign to Libya. Street protests helped bring about the downfall of Margaret Thatcher so it's not pointless. the indignacios are marching from Spain to Brussels.Stand in front of them and tell them they are pointless if you dare.

  • @helmethead72

That wasnt my point, I wasnt saying dont bother protesting at all, or marches have no merit, rather I was stating that a protest has to be preformed in a way as to effect the power structure suffently enought to be heard, just marching is easily ignored. Trouble is also that marching as a form of protest is being seriuosly hampered, as shown on this report. The people need a better stratagy, cat and mouse as always but the powers that be are getting seriously depraved you ask me

  • @099749 Agreed, friend, but by sitting on our hands we are giving tacit approval to these very same depraved and callous powers that be,who don't give a crap about working and middle class people. We are being crushed by slave labour pay rates, increasing inflation and taxes, and any protest is crushed with ruthless efficiency by the tyrants.Enough is enough. These bastards must be removed and face the consequences of what they've done.

  • @helmethead72

Hey they should all be in prison, for what they have done, what they are doing, and for what they intend to do. My point again was that protests have to be better, but be sure the powers that be will not put themselves into prison. These cleptocrats live by their crime, a serious struggle ahead.

  • @099749 I agree with your point of view completely. But any kind of organised reaction to the criminal elite would result in comparisons to the Oslo shooter with all the msm spin machines working overdrive,or in a charge of seditition and a one way ticket to Gitmo.I think the Spanish protesters marching to Brussels are doing the right thing and hopefully others will join swelling the ranks making them impossible to ignore. After that all bets are off!

  • @helmethead72

They cant send you all to guantanamo, when the prisons are full, 1000s are dead, and more just keep on standing up against this tyranny of global corporate fascism and the illegitamate states that defend it, their lies will become soo clear, even todlers will be daming the man!

Dead by a million cuts, I think everyone should do something, but something different as long as what ever it is seeks to dis obey the illegitamate governments and does so with respect to human rights

  • @helmethead72 cont....

With respect for human rights and the laws and rules we would like to see. What is clear is this system is corporate run so anything that opposes the corporates is a good thing, screw the cults also, most CEO are cultists!

  • @helmethead72 cont...

Just so you understand the governments gave away the peoples power to corporate 'free market' interests, they today have no ability to truly serve the people even if they wanted to, I therefore hold them as illegitamate as representative of those that voted for them, politicians serve their corporate bosses, they never really served the people, but today it is soo extreme that their illegitamacy is profoundly clear, traitors, they serve the oligachy and not nation or people

  • @099749 I agree, and there are more free thinking people across the world who are with us. Our time is coming, theirs is ending. It is inevitable and merely a matter of time.

  • @helmethead72

Anyone with half an awake brain if they knew even a tiny bit of the sordid stuff the ruling class are involved in would stand up, it's sad that many are bought off, but equally sad just how irrational the ruling elite are. also disgusting just how low they and those that serve them are prepared to sink, to keep what is an unjust horror of a system in the first place

  • Truly chilling.

  • Here's an example from the Chicago area in 2007. Google: Jeff Zurawski and Sara Hartfield

--arrested following protest against Bush & Cheney

  • Thumbs up for Michael Ratner

  • i stopped the video at 3:20 to let it load. i ended up staring at that picture for a few minutes and being quite disturbed by the whole premise.

  • @sheepblitzer - changing to 240p lets the video play better

  • @MammalianGenome you are severely not alone.
