Yes I agree, we have been using these techniques for thousands of years. It is time to connect in a more compassionate way. We need to teach children how to understand themselves, not just what is right or wrong.
i beleive that the punishment really isnt the teaching tool. punishment is a controlling tool. punishment teaches nothing it only controlls the child long enough to take the time to listen to the parents lesson. If you only punish them and not teach them what to do insted of the misbehavior you are doing nothing positive for the childs development.
