their newest work. its like having tormented, dysfunction, and break the cycle all in one. Congrats guys. Aaron lewis is my favorite acoustic singer, and the only other person who even comes close is corey taylor on solo stuff and with stone sour. But wow, aaron is the voice of my generation (in my opinion).
Im 26, i fell in love with break the cycle (the first album i had heard new), i got tormented and dysfunction a few months later, and just loved his voice ever since. Now, im not going to lie, when i heard 14 shades of grey i felt like their style had evolved to much for me (its a good album, but it wasnt for me...kind of like "Lovehatetragedy" from papa roach. But I kept buying every cd they released, even if it was for only a few songs. The new album though, is terrific to me. Im so proud of..
i listen this version so many times, and it feels like the first time. Its great awesome. I hope he make a cd and i hope there will more great singers like aaron lewis at the moment it is rar with so good singers :/
@kungfuweasel78 Town Line was the closest to a solo record he has ever put out. Other than that, these Mohegan Sun shows have been stuffed away and forgotten much like all of the other shows he said he was going to nationally release.
Just seen him in Reno last month (for the 5th time) and as always...amazing...I try not to cry when I hear his voice...but I'm a nerd...his voice...his music has been my life and I know that's cheezy as heck...it's true
This song to me seems to hit home in two different ways #1:(most obvious) A relationship meaning,a girl/guy messing with your head and etc. #2: a Political meaning (as mentioned in the lyrics) about how Presidents/Governments don't care about the peoples ideals and just do what they want.Like the lyrics from 4:43 +.But that's Just my take on this song.
@ryan06105 Technically not the same Chord Progression, though it is some of the same Chords. It's almost identical to Aaron Lewis' "Vicious Circles" song,if you want to look that up,there's a video with good quality and close up to the chords he plays.
Cant belive that i've heard like 4 different acoustic versions of this song and in ALL of them he sings with a lot of passion.. Thats a great performer, that feels the songs he sings.
even if u cant relate to these godly amazing lyrics you can just feel the raw emotion just listen to that voice just tell a story thru sound how fucking amazing is that STAIND FOREVER
Like my comment before, Aaron doesnt open with Please and you can tell he was pissed singing it n was looking same direction during song, He was pissed off, you can see it and fortunatly for us you can hear it cause that was awesome.
btw.. pretty sure this song is about the music industry seeing as Staind typically writes about selling your soul just for a fuckin record deal. but thats my two cents worth.
@HerCuppcake7 it's funneh how a song full of desperation and anger can be displayed on this point of view and soothe you and i couldn't agree with you more on what you said!
Kinda, the first chord is, but in Nutshell after that chord it quickly changes to G, D, then a variation of Cadd9 (no pinkie on the high e string). It's close though. This is an awesome song by the way!!
Wow the sound quality is amazing! Thank God for that man. His music saved my life countless times. His voice is so haunting and yet captivating at the same time. Awesome.
Wow, it's so refreshing to watch one of Aaron Lewis' performances and not listen to the incessant chattering of the audience. These people were awesome, they sat quietly and listened to the awesome voice that is Aaron Lewis. They applauded when he came out and applauded when he was done. That's how it should be when a great artist is on stage.
@Aerosmith102 --- i had heard the original version, but the guitar was much too fast for the lyrics of the song. i didn't even like the original. this acoustic version is exactly how this song should be done, absolutely amazing.
i fell ya brando i just caught my wife cheating on me and she doesnt know i know. Going to break the bad new to her today wouldnt be that bad but we have a 4 year old. but i thank god for aaron his music heals the soul
"stop telling me that is ok i dont buy all the shit that you say and quite honestly im fucking sick of it" i love that line you just tired of hearing the same shit and you just want to say im sick of it i love it
Aaron Lewis is by far one of the most influential musicians of our time. He is honest with his lyrics and a lot of people can relate with them. He knows how to take a song and make the listener feel the exact emotion he wants you to feel. He is no cliche singer/songwriter and has NEVER sold out. His music with staind is a progression just like any other band and they have shown how versatile they can be. All in all, Aaron lewis is what music SHOULD be!
I love this song. Aaron's voice is one of the best in modern music. Whether he's doing heavy songs like Spleen and Mudshovel, to songs like this, Let It Out, or Epiphany, Aaron's voice is the best. I've been fortunate enough to see Staind twice, but never Aaron solo. Can't wait for that opportunity :D
his voice is amazing so much emotion and pure talent and everything he writes everyone can relate to in someway he is deffinatly one of the best and most underrated artist of our time
@sta1ndsoul the crowd was awesome at this show he just played an iowa on 3/31/11 and everytime the man hit a high note people would scream it got annoying as hell
Aaron is my hero and his lyrics and voice has saved my life. hes inspired me to be a singer/songwriter and ive been doing it for 12 years now thanks to him. Aaron Lewis is in my opinion the greatest singer to ever pick up a mic
This song hits home, I think, for a lot of people. I had been with a girl for 1.5 years and spent the last 3 months of it on a "break". I did everything I could to show her how much I cared and wanted things to work, but everything I did was never enough. As of tonight, we're no longer together and the lyrics hit harder than ever. Aaron Lewis/Staind has always been a master at touching so many people who are experiencing low moments of life. Listening to songs like this make it easier.
I saw this vid over and over again after my last relationship ends two years ago. Aaron screamed it out of my soul....thats is why i love Aaron´s music he always helped me to understand things in life ;)
bitch ain't worth it man....if you've already given it your all and it still ain't enough for her then fuck her, it's her loss. move on and find someone who'll appreciate u for what u are. good luck =)
I love this song. It fits so damn good to my situation in life. Aaron Lewis sings out of our souls. It´s a godlike skill to write such songs, I´m gonna learn to play it.
supposed to be coming out with one by the end of this year..no date release..but i have been waiting forever..ill definatley be one of the first to pick one up in my county ;)
