That's precisely why I don't like copy Trex 450 helis. That crash was not even hard and the main shaft broke off clean. It must be brittle to break that easily. Imagine if you were in idle-up mode and drilled that heli to the ground, It'll cost you more, probably a new heli.

Instead of one big proppeller on most, it is four housed proppellers like the ones found on the smaller ones. This makes it super easy to handle AND speed is super fast. It goes all directions and it's padded so the proppeller is durable...

i have the same heli.... and i aquired it from a customer who is less experienced as i am and i tried to fly it ... that was a bad idea... either way, i got the same damage on the boom and it's mostly straight after bending it back into place. .. i hope it's straight enough? great helicopter but if it hits the ground the blades are sure to hit the boom. just not sure yet if the boom definately needs to be replaced when hit by the blades after a crash??

@aqinthe Defo electric, I too am looking for a beginners plane. After eliminating all others because of their ability of doing 3D flight and such, I came down to the E-flite CX3 and the E-flite 120 SR. The latter can do 3D, but you can limit the controls by pressing the right stick down, meaning you won't go upside down accidently :P

They may not be big, but I've flown the CX3 and tbh, it's great. Another minus of the 120 SR is that it's a fixed pitch heli so it 'glides' around in the air a bit
