Bert Sugar knows more about boxing than most people could hope to learn in a dozen lifetimes. I have a gift for memorizing stuff and I'd still need six or seven lifetimes.

I really Like Bert Sugar, but I'm not happy with his TOP 100 because he seems to have forgotten the brilliant Les Darcy who I'd have in the TOP 25, AT LEAST. He's like all Yanks, they forget non Yanks, well Les beat all comers even Americans. Bert would have us believe that NO AUSSIE could punch thier way out of a wet paper bag, it's a bit of an insult. Some guys on that list wouldend up on thier backs if they met the Maitland Wonder.

Sugar is a blowhard and a phony.

He can't open his mouth without making another mistake when he says anything connected with boxing. The Ring magazine turned into absolute garbage during the time Sugar was editor.
