Regarding your point of fighting 8000 miles from home, is right on many aspects, but it doesn't apply to some issues. For instance, British fleet on theater was by far more powerful than the whole Argentinean fleet. Indeed, the two aircraft carriers with Harriers and Sea Harriers had more advanced firepower (blue Fox / sidewinders) than Argentine Air Force.
Yes the British fleet was more powerful but it still lacked air cover, which is critical in a modern battle. Your air force still outnumbered the Harriers 5:1 and they operated from land bases. Your tactics and deployments were wrong, and the high command made major strategic errors.
the land bases were many miles away from the islands, and i think that just the Skyhawks and the Super Etendards were able to recharge (or reload?) their fuel in air, and i believe that they did that 2 times in a journey to the islands. Then they reached the islands with no much fuel to do their duty.
and one of our most modern planes were the Super Etendards (i think we had jus 5 then), then we had a lot of Skyhaws buuut, then you maybe be counting another older and less class planes.
you had better armament, your soldiers wore termical jackets (to avoid having their bodies so cold), your navy was better, many of our planes were old, Britain was receiving the help of Chile and USA, you sank the Belgrano out of the war zone, our planes had to fly low because of the radars (the salt was sticking in the glass of the cabins so they couldn't see clearly) , much of our bombs didn't explode, France cancelled the send of more exocets to us or something like that.

There is nothing wrong the design of the Invincibles, they were designed as a small carrier to operate Harriers and Sea King helicopters. They do the job well. Comparison with Principe de Asturias is rather foolish as that ship is considerably smaller. As to the rest, yes the CIA and MI6 are close but they didn't work together to stop Argentina acquiring more Exocets, no they didn't work undercover in BA and the Nimrod operated out of Ascension and did very little for the Falklands War.

Yes the British fleet was more powerful but it still lacked air cover, which is critical in a modern battle. Your air force still outnumbered the Harriers 5:1 and they operated from land bases. Your tactics and deployments were wrong, and the high command made major strategic errors.

the land bases were many miles away from the islands, and i think that just the Skyhawks and the Super Etendards were able to recharge (or reload?) their fuel in air, and i believe that they did that 2 times in a journey to the islands. Then they reached the islands with no much fuel to do their duty.

you had better armament, your soldiers wore termical jackets (to avoid having their bodies so cold), your navy was better, many of our planes were old, Britain was receiving the help of Chile and USA, you sank the Belgrano out of the war zone, our planes had to fly low because of the radars (the salt was sticking in the glass of the cabins so they couldn't see clearly) , much of our bombs didn't explode, France cancelled the send of more exocets to us or something like that.

HMS Invincible was sold to Australia to replace HMAS Melbourne. Australia graciously withdrew from the sale when it was realised that we needed all that we had. There's nothing inherently wrong with the Invincible class, there is just few navies that could afford them. Your paranoia is getting in the way.

There is nothing wrong the design of the Invincibles, they were designed as a small carrier to operate Harriers and Sea King helicopters. They do the job well. Comparison with Principe de Asturias is rather foolish as that ship is considerably smaller. As to the rest, yes the CIA and MI6 are close but they didn't work together to stop Argentina acquiring more Exocets, no they didn't work undercover in BA and the Nimrod operated out of Ascension and did very little for the Falklands War.
