Doom 3 was a great game but not everybody liked it. Most people played HL2. Since then ID tried to improve on their games and make it more appealing to those who disliked Doom 3 imo. Quake 4 and Wolfenstein is more fun to people since you dont fight in the underground for the rest of the game. When you add vehicles and stuff to a game it makes it more fun. Rage is going to be the best game Id Software ever made after Quake 2
