Honestly, Smith has SO much potential, but they screwed the pooch this series around. Spend an entire season building up the silent as the next big baddie, and then wrap em up in a two episode arc?! AAARRRGGGHHH!!!

@mila203 Well, this trailer is exclusive to BBCA, so it's only on TV in the US. Season 5 of Doctor Who started on April 3rd in the UK and starts on April 17th in the US. I don't get Doctor Who on TV, so I saw "The Eleventh Hour" via Torrent. It's easily the most well written season opener since "Smith and Jones" and is full of poignant moments, spooky moments, twists, and funny one-liners. The monster is very original and Smith is a great Doctor.
I remember watching Dr. Who on PBS back in the 90's. The acting performance looked like they were all on acid trips, and then you couldn't help but to laugh at the props they had.
Cannot wait for the new series...I will genuinely miss David T ('MY Doctor'), but Matt looks up to the task...and a whole new direction for the series sounds interesting, tho I was one of the folks that loved Russell T Davies, I think he did an AMAZING job (hell, he got me AND my wife addicted to 'Dr Who'!)
I am kinda freaked out that the angels are coming back...they completely freak me out. The first time I saw Blink, I watched it at around eleven. I couldn't relax enough to sleep until nearly four AM...so- daleks, torchwood, weeping angels, and people with swords all in one commercial. Can't wait for the new season!

How do we know he's gong to use it all the time? Maybe he has it in one episode and not others? They often use the most exiting looking clips for the previews, so who knows!

@niknarnevets I have nothing against Moffat....I just mean their ages r so similar if he is so young they should have went the other way with the companion...she may have been fine with an older Dr....it is just disjointing....it seems pandering such as The Sarah Jane Chronicles r to kids, but not to that degree...she seems to have ceiling eyes like Audrina Partridge on The Hills on MTV...they have been young in the past because the Drs have been middle aged....not 20 something...

When Peter Davison started his run, he was 29, so late twenties. Matt smith, I think, just looks younger than he actually is. He's 27, so he's only the youngest Doctor by about two years. I figure that's an acceptable age. I mean, it'd be a little odd if the Doctor regenerated into a middle-aged man every time without exception.

I was not happy about Matt Smith being the next Doctor. I figured it was just the BBC trying to get the younger audience.
But he does grow on you. The stories are great and after a while you forget he's just a baby in a bow tie.
