IDK how many people have heard about the tornados that came thru the southeast states on April 27 2011, but i live in one of the cities in Tennessee that they came thru. Driving thru the town and seeing the houses that was completely tore of the grown was so devasting. I was like this is just like a scene off of Night Of the Twisters or Twister. It will take 4-6 years to get back on our feet. God TRUELY kept us safe.

@seminolefan45 well honesty this movie was made back in 2/14/96 but this was a pretty good movie but when I saw Twister I gave a Rating of 55.5% but this one 96.9 about 97% which this is a hell of a lot better sadly Twister should go but if they make a Twister 2 that would be about a 77.7%.

This movie is based on true events. I lived in the city that this movie was about, it was June 3rd 1980 when it happened, I was there when it happened. I like this movie very much and I thank you for posting it. It is a bit corny, but for the most part it is accurate, 2/3 or more of the city was blown away by 7 tornadoes that night.

Great movie, fed my tornado phase as a kid! Overpasses are VERY dangerous to take shelter under. When the tornado hits, the winds are forced into a smaller area under the overpass, increasing their speed. So even a storm with 70 mph winds could be well over 100 under the overpass. Best option is to outrun it if you can, but if you can't take shelter in the interior of a solid structure or a ditch.
