  • @ursie1986 I agree! If you heard an instrumental version, it would sound just like the Steptoe and Son theme!

Albert: "Harold, it's a life of ease on the open road"!

Harold:"Yes, I know, Dad, you dirty old man!" LOL!

  • This song is the only thing I remember from watching this as a child. I love the voice of Mole.

  • 4:35

it looks like he's meditating at the start of the video

  • Love how much the 'Open Road' song sounds like the Steptoe & Son tune :D

  • @ursie1986 Me Too It's So Easy To Renember The Tune Of The Open Road Song If You're A Barron Like Me.

  • david jason was a genius pick for dear old toad's voice over

  • It's a lucky thing that The Judge didn't apear in the seme where the song about travelling On The Open Road was sung in.

  • Poop poop!

  • MOLE IS RIDICULOUS! JUST LOOK AT HIM HAHAHA

  • Have you noticed that the weasels/Ferrets having working class voices!

  • Mr.Toad reminds me of Launchpad Micquack.

  • remind me to not drive with toad o.o

  • The man who speaks for Mole sounds like the voice actor from the old Winnie the Pooh series :)

  • Haha! That horse is funny! I watched this when I was 6 too! That music sounds like Steptoe and Son!! I remember this well. David Jason is great!:-)

  • I watched this movie in school when I was 6 years old....and I will never forget it.

  • Thanks so much for posting this xx brings back such happy memories xx

  • "boopboop!" i loled at that part

  • @Hellzyead why put something like that on a film which kids are likely to watch. Do you feel like a big man? Like we're all impressed that you can use swear words about a kids movie? Guess what kiddo, we're not. Nobody is.

  • Heh-heh-heyyyyyy!!! Lol

  • I would love to have that little silvery toad thing on my bonnet XD!

  • There goes Toad's no claims bonus

  • With the voice talents of David Jason as Toad.

  • Watched this with my eldest son when this was shown on TV (1983) he was 3 then, he loved it (so did I) and he now has it on DVD which he watches with his youngest daughter (who is 3), it all comes around again.

  • -LOL- I never noticed before how the wreckage of Toad's former cars keeps piling up at his place. Awesome!

Thanks for posting these! It's been way too long since I've seen this.

  • I think the Stop Motion Animation dose these story justices. It is beautifully done and having the English doing all the voice work helps it feel like the author would have wanted.

  • mole RULZ!

  • all i was aware till recently was the open road scene and the motor bike episode so thanks so much :D

  • haha I remember I loved the part when toad would drive the cars when I was a kid

  • It may be surprising, but when I first learned about GTA III through press reviews, I likened it to Toad's mortorcar binge and driving.

  • @Poever Yes, Toad had several crazes but the one for motor cars was the one that seemed to stick!

  • 0:06 Ratty is thinking "Oh god, here we go(rolls eyes)* haha thanks for posting. This movie is one of my favourites! :)

  • Has mr toad thought of Car insurence?

  • @Reverbx1 His premium would be so much that even he wouldn't be able to afford it!

(Interestingly, motor insurance became compulsory in 1930, but driving tests didn't until 1935, so for five years if you had a car you had to insure it but you didn't have to prove you could drive it!)

  • As I cant get part 2 (an error is STILL occurring and I STILL have to try again later) can someone please remind me what happens, as i miss a large chunk :(

  • You want to "watch" out!

  • At 3:38... Oh. Shit.

Start of a world of pain (and i speak as one who played the Jailer during a production of Toad back at school)

  • 4:37 poor ladybird!!!
