Repeat offender or not, you should contact the policing division that controls the Sea-to-Sky over this, I was nearly run off the road at the Taylor Way entrance in West Vancouver heading towards 21rst Street. At first I was shocked that anyone would do this, then it took me a moment behind to realize that this was the same car that I had seen on the internet.

we were just in the passing the car that appears in the first part of the video when this maniac suddenly showed on the side. Admittedly I could have gone quicker than the app 85 kmh on the left lane, but then again 2 busy kids in the car and a wife ..... I really didnt see him coming.... and then where did he want me to go to?On top of the car to my right? @tommysch if you were to watch this video carefully then you would notice that the driver and author of this video just was passing another car, when this maniac came up behind him at an estimated speed of 130 to 140.

Under existing law there is a indefinite time period to get an indictment for such cases , which will be eventually done here.

I hate slow drivers too. But more than that I hate drivers that think going 20 over speed limit is being king of the road and not following the basic rule of driving in the right lane unless passing or turning left. If you ever get a coffee in the windshield thats probably me! cheers

Just send a copy of this video to local police. Problem solved. You clearly have the evidence for charges of reckless driving, failure to yield, failure to..... (few other charges can be applied) plus licence plate, make of truck and clearly the culrprit. Almost fool proof enough for courts if this person ever tried to dispute the charges.

True story, I was driving on this highway a few weeks ago. Speed limit was 80, I was driving 100 on left lane and no traffic, this old guy in glasses approaches and starts tailgating me and starts honking (he could easily have passed on the right lane but he just wanted me to move).

@yennun No, if you choose to drive significantly above the SPEED LIMIT, you are breaking the law and you have no right to expect others to yield to you. Sgt Price is a smart man, he was referring to slow drivers, otherwise he would be encouraging people to break the law.

I drive this highway everyday back and forth from Squamish to Vancouver (where I work).

Have had a few experiences with people like that.

Although alot of construction is still happening, most of the highway is 2 lanes again. Which gives those ragers a lane to do their 140km in....

This has happened to me several times on this highway. Once a couple of years ago, an angry moron in a truck passed a line of traffic in one of the passing zones, then slammed on his brakes right down to 50 kph - nearly caused a pileup. He kept speeding and braking all the way from Lions' Bay to Horseshoe Bay. Also had an incident 2 days ago. It's not as bad as it was when the road was mostly single-lane, but the jerks are still out there. I stay out of the passing lane, too. Crazy sh*t.
