Israel can basically do anything it wants because the US is thus far to afraid to make Israel accountable for its actions. It's easy to put an Arab person in jail in the US for having some charity funds somehow going to Hamas, but if an American Jewish charity funds a settlement, which is illegal, nothing happens. They are just civilized people just harming an inferior people - the Arabs.

Actually, Norman Finkelstein's mother was a Leftist, a universalist, not a fascist. That was the case for other Polish Jews. I may not agree with everything Finkelstein says, but, at least, he has integrity and what he is doing is not out of his line when compared to what his grandparents would have done and believed.

@brabon1: I notice that you commment to many of Finkelstein's entries on YouTube. Often up until the end. By now, you must have watched about all there is to see. Yet I do not get the impression that the message gets through to you. Why are you so bent on defending the indefensible? Don't you listen? Why are you so angry?

I understand the difficulties for Israel and why it will not open its gates. But I do not understand why you will not enter into meaningful, fruitful, respectful discussion.
