this is sad...not even close to actual historica accuracy...this battle started when a confederate spy spotted union cavalry headed for the town of gettysburg and the two sides clashed on seminary ridge. then the cavalry was reinforced by infantry and they couldnt hold and they fell back to the heights....

well there were 3 of them. Rennolds, Hankock, and Armistead. (idk how to spell them lol) Armistead was for the south but he didn't reach Gettysburg till the end of the second day. i think he was killed by a sharp shooter in the woods. idk i havent talked about the subject in months and i'm a little rusty.

Honestly, Jubal Early was in Gettysburg on the 26th. He was notorious for being a raider. He would have stripped the town clean of supplies. So the most likely explanation is that Heth was looking for a fight.

It was Buford. He was the only general there when Heth attacked. Buford's cavalry took up position along the Chambersburg Pike. Gamble engaged Heth's division while Devin maintained position on the South side of the Pike.

Sorry but this is very innacurate. After Marcellus Jones fired the first shot, Heth's division engaged the Union Calvary on McPherson's ridge, but Buford was watching from a stepole in a nearby Semanary. Reynold's first corp arrived later in the day on McPherson's Ridge, but Reynolds would be quickly killed by a Rebel Sharpshooter.

You also forgot General Early and General Ewell ariving with reinforcements. That and Lee telling Ewell to take Cemetary Ridge if practical. I'm sorry, but if this is for history class, then it's pretty sad. I mean, It's supposed to be historically accurate. A little research wouldn't kill anyone.

Actually, General Early had raided the town two days prior. He is a very greedy man, and would have taken everything that was not nailed down. There is this fact, and the fact that there was no shoe factory in Gettysburg that prove that Henry Heth was looking for a fight with local militia. He had no knowlege that Buford's cavalry was in Gettysburg at the time.
