  • Memories.. many thanks for sharing this funky old gem

  • Gnarly!

  • aaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    it's like a flashback.......

the deeper i talked the worse i got into it.

  • man did we groove to this when it came out.

    played at an acid party.......wow.

  • This is a dangerous place!

  • It's like AMPPed up Talking Heads

  • I THOUGHT THESE GUYS WERE GOING TO KILL ME FOR SURE

  • Ive never really payed much attention to 80's Crimson. I just started listening to them today

    and Im sooo impressed!

  • even tho i dont listen to radio, i think i might request king crimson on a couple.

  • This is the best song on the album and maybe the best of KC. Incredible rhythms, drama and everything, so powerful. Love the guitars.

  • The rhythm section is beyond words. This is chaos held together by desire. Sick. Wonderful.

  • influence!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • M U S I C

  • Bill BRUFORD!!

  • Three of a perfect pair.

  • I love all KC, but my favorite is still "Lark's Tongues in Aspic".

  • Check Les Claypool's Flying Frog Brigade version of this from Bonnaroo in 2001. He does it with great respect for the original but with Claypool's unique tripped out style.

  • @procrastinator66 Damn right pal.

  • this is a dangerous place...

  • @johngalt1961 what dangerous place!? what gun!?

  • @johngalt1961 king crimson day is a very dangerous day.

  • Had 15 when I love this! Nice to hear it again!!!

  • when music was actually fucking cool

  • @codern i know what you mean. i have fantasies of myley, justin, taylor and the jonas bros all being crushed by a giant falling safe (kardashians, too).

  • This is definitely an album I'll still be blasting in the nursing home some day.

  • freakin' BASS !!

  • This is fripping crazy!!

  • All of you people keep talking about finding songs on Youtube, and I often wonder, WHY DON'T YOU BUY THE FRIPPING CD?

  • @DoctorNarpasLoveless assuming these folks are finding new artists -- why would you buy a cd if you don't know what the band sounds like? anyway, it's a great place for artists to find fans. if you like the music enough you'll buy the album anyway.

  • This is an absolutely fantastic album. We bought it way back when and still think it is fantastic. Thanks for posting it.

  • thela hun ginjeet!thela hun gijeet!thela hun ginjeet!thela hun gijeet!thela hun ginjeet!thela hun gijeet!

  • times hearing this

    1: wtf?

2: getting better but still weird

    3: liking it

    4: loving it!

am the only one who does this for prog rock?

  • @grevejp44 Nope.

  • @grevejp44 No. You're not alone. But try hearing this for the first time on psilocybin camote. I did on the Beat tour in Philly's Mann Music center. I was stupefied for a while but when they played this I was in for the full ride and have been a huge fan ever since. (Ok, maybe the drugs helped a little bit.) But my love of this hasn't wavered. I was a fan of the older stuff before that concert but I wasn't prepared for this!

  • @grevejp44 no. i hated 21st century schizoid man the first time i heard it, and now consider it one of the top 10 greatest songs ever made. i think a truly incredible song can do that to you

  • Comment removed

  • My good sir, you just summarized Indiscipline, the previous track on the CD! Well done!

  • @grevejp44 Everything except Pink Floyd, fell in love with them instantly as a kid.

  • @grevejp44 you forgot 5: it's like air. Ya gotta have it.

  • Talking Heads probably influenced them for this song.

  • @vitamincity IDIOT!!!

  • @jimidasaynt what?

  • @jimidasaynt no i'm not. it sound like the Talking Heads to me. just an opinion.

  • @vitamincity Talking Heads?...that would be Adrian Belew's influence.

  • @IwanttoliveinParis I Zimbra had Robet Fripp as session guitarist, who is a founder of KC, and the only member who has been with them through all personnel changes. He and Belew explain the Talking Heads influence.

  • @TheStruedel The Great Curve has Adrian Belew as session guitarist. Probably what 'oliveinparis' was referring to.

  • @jimidasaynt Listen to ''I Zimbra'' by the taking heads, you'll see the similarities

  • @vitamincity I Zimbra had Robert Fripp as guitarist, not Adrien Belew, which likewise would give KC a similar sound to Talking Heads, at least with regards to I Zimbra!

  • Probably one of my favorite songs from the album.

  • Why "Thela Hun Ginjeet"???

  • @manuel8887

    Heat In The Jungle ;)

  • @kelthanius I'm sorry, you're gonna have to explain that to me...

  • @manuel8887 : he made a mix with all the letters of heat in the jungle, to make a "new langage" :D .. didnt'you, Kelthanius ?

  • @barbecru And "qua tari mei" or something is an anagram too???

  • @manuel8887 "Hatari" is swahili for Danger.

  • @manuel8887 : I meant didn't HIM (meaning the song writer), of course, Kelthanius is not the author of this music :))

  • @manuel8887 anagram of "Heat in the Jungle."

  • @IwanttoliveinParis I prefer to think that it's an anagram of "The Leet Hug Ninja."

  • @bbqplatypus318 or...Let the huge Ninja!!

  • I listen this song for few hours. My thoughts are like "Sweet Jesus what was that". Great Band, Great Song!

  • genial

  • So, what does Thela Hun Ginjeet mean anyways? I'm presuming that it's gibberish, much like these cool, kind of humouring voice interludes in this song.

This is actually a rather cool prog-rock song.

  • @GmanGregilla

It's an anagram of "heat in the jungle."

  • @Mxe354 Wow. Now that is awesome.

  • DAMN, found it!

    Awesome song.

  • Crazy music. I absolutely love this. Brilliant musicianship from all.

  • the bass in this song is kick ass

  • He was holding a gun against me and, um, I was thinking, this is a dangerous place, oh this is a dangerous place.

  • Thanks for this, and F*CK EMI for taking off the first one. Long live the free internet!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Superbly talented group that so many have never heard. Senior year in college when this came out. First heard it on the old King Biscuit Flour Hour.

  • ive only heard a handful of songs from king crimson, but i ve been listening to this discipline album and it is just wowing my mind. thanks for posting!

  • @heiian Hope you've listened to more of them now. Tons of great music that most people simply don't get.

  • "...well, first of all... i couldn't see his face; i couldn't even see his face..."
