Why don't you just orient the disk magnets outward (all N or all S) and have the other magnet the opposite of those, constantly repelling them and not attracting?

hi . i was just looking at magnets from hard drives...they have a plate on hem that makes them magnetic on one side only..this will stop the sticky point in the field, but hey im no expert, ....and i havent built one yet...but this seems to be the common factor problem with all theses magnetic cd motors.. :)
k why did you alter the exp0eriment and use 2 magnets instead of 1 P/N x12 same polarity counterclockwise around the edge of the disc spaced evenly to create 3 quadrants 4321, 4321, 4321 then theoretically holding the P at an angle near any of the lower left corner should grab 4 then 3 then 2 then 1 switch grab 4 3 2 1 etc

@chivalrous1989 The problem is that the magnetic field is constant and magnets either repel or attract. So if the stationary magnet is attracted to the rotor causing it to come around, as the rotor magnet passes the stationary magnet, it's still attracted to the stationary magnet causing the rotor to slow down until it eventually stops. The problem is that the attractive force when the rotor passes the stator cannot be turned off without adding electricity. Shielding does not work either.
Dude, why do you not want this to work? If you set them up in pairs the external magnet wont grab either definate side. The positive and negative, while still having to some extent their own side of the magnet pair, will be too spread throughout the magnet. There is a reason he used smaller magnets on the wheel. The magets you have in your hand are the same size as on the wheel. Set it up exactly the same as in the other vid and ill believe you. Plus, take the friction out of the motor

Not sure about creating viable energy (as some is always going to be lost), but the idea is that you change the polarities on the magnet by abusing Lenzs laws. The reason it's not working is because you can't physically turn the magnet fast enough, to attract then repel.
It's more complicated than this. to effectively debunk this you have to be very precise and get the right angles and right strengths and right magnets etc. I believe that free energy is possible, but so far have yet to find a way.
Have you over looked the magnet strengths? I am not sure. I have not tried this experiment as of yet. Kind of tempted to go overboard with a car alternator and make each of the 12 magnets electromagnetic so I could control strength and timing. or perhaps the outer magnet.

If all the magnets are the same then they will never move because they are equal in strength, you need to have a stronger magnet to pull the next one around while the other rotates out. The surface of the stronger magnet needs to be wider as well to give enough surface area for the next magnet to be attracted to. Hence the movement rotation. Try again!

However, you seem to have a mechanical ability, how about you start thinking of how you could use a mag which is free to rotate on something ? It will get pushed out of the way, right ? And the will give it gravity pe if the only path it can take to get out of the way is vertical. There have been several people who have claimed to do it, but soon are shown to be frauds. Case in point Mylow's magnetic motor. In any event I hope someone does it, but for me I can't see how.

Ok, so this is what I see, your north and south are equal in vectors, 90 degree, so they will balance the pull once a magnet is applied. If you were to adjust your intended vector of force, say to a 45 angle and try, there should be less resistance... It's hard to believe there's 100's of fakes out there, I understand it's alot of work dealing with the magnets.. patience..

Why don't you just orient the disk magnets outward (all N or all S) and have the other magnet the opposite of those, constantly repelling them and not attracting?

hi . i was just looking at magnets from hard drives...they have a plate on hem that makes them magnetic on one side only..this will stop the sticky point in the field, but hey im no expert, ....and i havent built one yet...but this seems to be the common factor problem with all theses magnetic cd motors.. :)

k why did you alter the exp0eriment and use 2 magnets instead of 1 P/N x12 same polarity counterclockwise around the edge of the disc spaced evenly to create 3 quadrants 4321, 4321, 4321 then theoretically holding the P at an angle near any of the lower left corner should grab 4 then 3 then 2 then 1 switch grab 4 3 2 1 etc

@chivalrous1989 The problem is that the magnetic field is constant and magnets either repel or attract. So if the stationary magnet is attracted to the rotor causing it to come around, as the rotor magnet passes the stationary magnet, it's still attracted to the stationary magnet causing the rotor to slow down until it eventually stops. The problem is that the attractive force when the rotor passes the stator cannot be turned off without adding electricity. Shielding does not work either.

Dude, why do you not want this to work? If you set them up in pairs the external magnet wont grab either definate side. The positive and negative, while still having to some extent their own side of the magnet pair, will be too spread throughout the magnet. There is a reason he used smaller magnets on the wheel. The magets you have in your hand are the same size as on the wheel. Set it up exactly the same as in the other vid and ill believe you. Plus, take the friction out of the motor

Not sure about creating viable energy (as some is always going to be lost), but the idea is that you change the polarities on the magnet by abusing Lenzs laws. The reason it's not working is because you can't physically turn the magnet fast enough, to attract then repel.

It's more complicated than this. to effectively debunk this you have to be very precise and get the right angles and right strengths and right magnets etc. I believe that free energy is possible, but so far have yet to find a way.

Have you over looked the magnet strengths? I am not sure. I have not tried this experiment as of yet. Kind of tempted to go overboard with a car alternator and make each of the 12 magnets electromagnetic so I could control strength and timing. or perhaps the outer magnet.

I for some reason though do believe that the project here that we are talking about is real. he did not have the poles of the 12 magnets facing out. the magnet he held was roughly 3 times more strength than the others. it would seen logical that as N pole is being drawn the way they are sideways ends up then to be repelled by its S side, narrow magnets easy escape

...you could try building it better! Try putting the magnets closer together on the wheel. And I noticed the hole was NOT in the exact middle -that's why it only moves a little bit and then stops. I've seen many others work because they know what they are doing. I'd give you an "D" in my class -simply because you tried. Others that actually work get an "A+."

Listen to what he said again about the magnets, the one you hold needs to be stronger. If all the magnets are the same then they will never move because they are equal in strength, you need to have a stronger magnet to pull the next one around while the other rotates out. The surface of the stronger magnet needs to be wider as well to give enough surface area for the next magnet to be attracted to. Hence the movement rotation. Try again!

Very good valveman, and very true. In that config you'll never get anything to run. However, you seem to have a mechanical ability, how about you start thinking of how you could use a mag which is free to rotate on something ? It will get pushed out of the way, right ? And the will give it gravity pe if the only path it can take to get out of the way is vertical. Not saying this magnet stuff is viable, but that you can't exclude all magnet use by showing a obvious no-runner ;-)

There have been several people who have claimed to do it, but soon are shown to be frauds. Case in point Mylow's magnetic motor. In any event I hope someone does it, but for me I can't see how.

Ok, so this is what I see, your north and south are equal in vectors, 90 degree, so they will balance the pull once a magnet is applied. If you were to adjust your intended vector of force, say to a 45 angle and try, there should be less resistance... It's hard to believe there's 100's of fakes out there, I understand it's alot of work dealing with the magnets.. patience..
