  • good

  • I am very happy to see the vidoe after you give this Dr. King explains how he was first exposed to the ideas of Gandhi and the philosophy of nonviolence.

  • Good, I like that you share this video, I wish success always Dr. King explains how he was first exposed to the ideas of Gandhi and the philosophy of nonviolence.

  • Nice Video In this interview, Dr. King explains how he was first exposed to the ideas of Gandhi and the philosophy of nonviolence That You Share , So Very Nice Thanks You

  • I Really Like The Video From Your In this interview, Dr. King explains how he was first exposed to the ideas of Gandhi and the philosophy of nonviolence.

  • Your Video Is Very Useful Sharing Martin Luther King, Jr.- Influence of Gandhi and Nonviolence

  • I LOVE AMERICA

America the Beautiful, I love you, wounded land.

It's time for us Americans to make our loving stand.

We'll fight to save our homeland and protect our liberty

from those who'd sell our nation for a traitor's dirty fee.

Freedom when it's dead and gone, with life lived as a slave

in the land once known for freedom and the homeland of the brave,

would be a loss so bitter that Americans one and all

must speak out NOW for freedom's way, one family standing tall!

  • How should I cite this video?

  • @RINGofFIRE112 Actually who is this interview with?

  • Martin Luther King was a handsome man...no homo!!!

  • @Chaicoffski I don't know what race you are, and it really isn't a huge concern to me. But an ignorant statement as such needs to be addressed. Sound like some ignorant Nation Of Islam rhetoric. A horribly supremacist religious sect that murdered one of their former leaders. Look at world history, not just white history. People in general can be incredibly evil. Statements like that perpetuate more separation instead of tolerance. Look at your own history, I'm sure you will find some evil.

  • @Chaicoffski That blanket statement is unfair. Not all whites are evil. African tribesmen worked with the Europeans in selling their own people into slavery. What about the genocides in Rwanda? Every race has it's evil faults. We are all people, just the same and all people of all color have evil in their past. The Chinese murdered millions in other colonized asian nations. Not to mention all of the violence in the middle east.... So yeah, there is a broad spectrum of injustice among ALL races.

  • @rewind316 and even then, race is a completely erroneous term! There are functional, and dysfunctional people

  • Be sure to watch "FULL JUSTICE" now on Youtube. It's a brand new ORIGINAL SONG/VIDEO depicting the life and struggles of MLK.

  • I speak 7 different languages but english not the best of one. Please 4 give me. we all animals, we are races we have all type of dogs, some nice and some are not just like all of us. u can not compare a pitbull to a poodle, just like u can not compare white to black.

  • @bounkhong There are very slight physical differences between certain human races, but nothing that should affect their lives substantially, or that cannot allow them to compete between each other. What are you implying with this comment?

  • Gandhi and Martin Luther King were extremely horrible people.

  • @WarmongerWW3 how

  • @Sgreenenov13 because of their methods.

  • @Sgreenenov13 i didn't know that using non violence to achieve civil rights goals was being a horrible person.

  • @infox1000 Actually all people are animals. We have hearts, brain, kidneys, livers, etc. so do dogs, cats, birds, sheep, etc. We are closely related to chimpanzees, monkeys and pigs, they have done heart transplants from baboon keeping a baby girl alive for 21 days with it, and liver transplants from pigs keeping two women alive long enough for successful liver transplants from humans.

  • @infox1000 Having read Ghandi's autobiography and read his own own words deploring the treatment of black south Africans by white South Africans, I would be very interested in knowing where he said such things.

  • Martin Luther King is encoded in the King James Bible several times. See the Aimed At America 2 video for examples.

  • @infox1000 , can you please quote which work of Gandhi you are talking about?? I have read most of Gandhi's work. In his autobiography "My experiments with Truth" he nothing but praise for Africans.

  • infox1000

perhaps you should give some quotations of some of the stuff your mentioning about Gandhi.

  • Comment removed

  • @infox1000 Oh, I'm out. A winner is you. Celebrate with your e-G.I.R.L.

  • @infox1000 How much more meaningful your bashing would be if it were directed at someone alive and capable of defense. Also, it would help if Albert Einstein and Martin Luther King Jr. were on your side, but I'm hoardin' 'em all up in here.

  • @infox1000 It's easy to beat up on a dead guy, huh?

  • @infox1000 My comment about the "truth" was me employing mimicry against you; hence, "I'll play along." Scroll down if necessary. All I was saying originally is that I read Gandhi's autobiography, I recall nothing proving him a terrible racist, and that I think you're fighting the wrong battle. Why do I need to reiterate this? This isn't me submitting an article to a peer-reviewed journal, pal. If you don't like my opinion formed from my knowledge base, fine, but THIS IS YOUTUBE!

  • @infox1000 When did I say that I knew everything about Gandhi? Did I say I researched Gandhi? Not everyone reads in order to act tough on the Internet. If you tire easily of sloppy things, I suggest you work on your comma usage and spelling. Low blow? Fair? This is love and war, isn't it?

  • @infox1000 I'll play along. Sir, sir! The reason I responded with the truth was to open your eyes. Why are you asking hurtful questions about my response that you've implied was unwarranted?

  • @infox1000 I read his autobiography. All I recall (besides a multitude of tiny details) is that he wanted more than anything to be one with the Truth. To come here and belittle a man after his death, a man who motivated so many people - including Martin Luther King Jr. - is a terrible waste of effort and time.

  • @infox1000 - the Gandhi who was a young man in South Africa. I do not think he harboured any hatred of black people, or any group of people, in general. In South Africa he fought a campaign for the Indian community. The whites in South Africa intesely disliked the blacks and thought of them as sub human. Gandhi probably tried to argue for Indian rights by pointing out perceived differences between Indian and Blacks.

In later life he did not make any disparaging references to any race.

  • @infox1000 Also: The term was used by british colonials and not the natives.

This is pretty much propaganda from your dumb ass.

  • LOL @ the comments in this thread

Letting a stupid white guy mislead you like that

    Kaffir is an arabic word

Arabic = not an Indian language.

You also believe the propagandist writings of some European moron who has a reason to hate Gandhi.

  • Comment removed

  • @infox1000 Gandhis own writings = some lame ass website

  • @infox1000 Gandhi uses arabic words? Nice try white boy

  • @WongOmowale

Too much credit? He wanted to preserve the Varnashrama dharma, which is very different from the caste system of today. Varnashrama did not have discrimination or superior and inferior castes. Its classification was based on behavior and work. Let's not forget he had his imperfects, like all humans do, so he misunderstood black people. But he saved a whole nation from massive potential violence and bloodshed. It's more symbolic than you'd think.

  • when was this shot?

  • @infox1000 lol! if i'm igmorant them so os the rest of the world! lol! show these work to the billions of people who follow gandhi's priciples and beg them not to treat him as a saint which u are doing now! lol!

  • @infox1000 lol! then where are this wirtings? do u have them?lol! cheap propaganda against gandhi by the british and muslim fanatics to tarnish his image in front of muslims and blacks but no use! lol! scream scream till your throt bursts lol!

  • So what are people trying to prove with his racist comments? It was a different time, and people change - especially someone like gandhi, He opposed our nation's racist class system eventually and were he alive, would've changed his past views on africans. Isn't the point here that his great message that united a nation in a non-violent manner, inspired a great icon like MLK? Humansareflawed, and everyone gets a second chance in life. Gandhi used his to change the world for the better.God Bless.

  • @infox1000 I'm actually totally with you on that. MLK is twice the man Ghandi will ever be. That's very true. My simple point was that if you were born into racism and that's what you were always taught when you are little chances are you'll probably stay racist. I'm not saying to forgive Ghandi of his racism not at all I'm merely coming to an understanding. I don't blame people for disliking Ghandi for him being a racist but I just hope it doesn't overshadow him for what he did.

  • @09tranm well i think no one in this world could ever match gandhi coz its not easy to live in just one piece of cloth and disown all your property and live in absolute povert just coz your the leader of the poor. i dont think martin luther could have done that! and even if martin had the slightest love for african culture and his roots , he wouldnt had a bit courage to shed his american suit and wore the traditional african clothing coz he would feeel to shameful to do that.

  • @Indiaexpress It's interesting haring the differences of opinion on youtube. One second I'm defending Ghandi against infox1000 now I have to defend Martin Luther King Jr. I think that Martin Luther King Jr. wore a suit probably not because he wanted to be shameful to himself he wore a suit for the white people to respect him. I merely said MLK was a better man because he had less hate in his heart but wasn't racist. Either way both men are good people. So, let's leave it at that.

  • @09tranm and as far as 'african americans' are cocerned, i'm not a racist but it is true that u always have been ashamed of your african culture and religion. u will do everything european to earn the repects of whites and that makes u the biggest racist of all as u are racist to your own kind!

  • @Indiaexpress Dude WHAT THE HELL!! So, much for honoring Ghandi now you're just acting like a troll. Okay 1 I am NOT!! African American I am an Asian American 2. What does that have to do with anything? Jeez. You accuse others of being racists yet you say to yourself "i'm not a racist." Look let's just back off of this racist and non racist bullshit and remember what's really important. Nonviolence.

  • @Indiaexpress One more quick thing. Personally I think that it's a shame Ghandi did not get the Nobel Peace Prize. However, MLK did get it and without Ghandhi there may not be a MLK. So, in a sense Ghandi did earn that prize though Martin Luther King jr anyway.

  • @09tranm lol! on one hand u accuse gandhi of being a racist towards blacks then u say that he should have got the nobel prize lol! first of all , u have absolutely no proof i repeat no written, oral or any other proof that he said anything bad about blacks.u see, he wasnt the leader of blacks nor did the black community knew much about him in south africa coz he was just an ordinary lawyer then, so he was just leading only the indian communities protest which later inspired the 'black leaders.'

  • @infox1000 It's true that Ghandi was racist towards black people and probably would have hated his guts. Does that men that Ghandi is a bad person? No, it does not. Ghandi being racist back then was very normal. Although he wasn't perfect he still made a strong impact on this world. Without Ghandi there might not be a Martin Luther King Jr.(figuratively speaking).

  • yes!

  • i bet all the smelly pakistanis dont like GANDHI that much..i can see it in the comments

  • @amcbirds I am not a Pakistani but a Hindu nationalist and Gandhi loved Pakistani Muslims more than Indian Hindus.

  • @MrIndoCanadian

ohhh shut the hell up mate lol he read the gita was a hindu took is idea from the veda scripts and buddhist scripts and then protected his nation of india..

It is hindus faith that speaks of peace and saveing the human soul and helping your friends and family to earn your way to heaven.

islam is about control and useing violance to create a almost war against people that dont want to live with the quarn,

islam is not reflects on anything on Gandhis words

  • @jimbob202019 Then what the hell was he doing when Hindus were getting killed in Pakistan. He was a Jain. I respect Jain people. Gujaratis have woken up to the threat of Islam the only way to deal with Islam is violence.

  • @amcbirds

this is the sort of incisive divisive comment that both gandhi and mlk would not have enjoyed

  • @infox1000 agreed! He was racist towards blacks in South Africans and one cannot deny the underlying racism. But he himself corrected that mistake later on in life, when he admitted his bias and went on to say that he had erred. Nonetheless a great man, bent on breaking the chains an empire had wrapped around his people. You do not recognize the power of his message because it is mired in these accusations. Life yourself above it and see the true meaning of satyagraha

  • @infox1000 I thought the term was used differently at the time as it is used later on. And didnt he say that about the blacks IN the jail. NOT EVERY black person.

  • Comment removed

  • @mbahra this guy is a terrorist living in UK..BEWARE ALLLLL

  • @amcbirds who is? :S

  • Gandhi was a racist when he was young. So was everyone else. It was the norm. I don't care about that however because what he preached and tought later in his life surpasses his adolecent bigotry. Everyone changes and Ghandi changed for the better. He's a hero of mine.

  • Gandhi is not a great leader. The Real great people are Chandrashekar Azad, Shivaji Maharaj, Guru Gobind Singh Ji, Bhagat Singh, Gautam Buddha, Ramprasad Bismil, Swami Vivekananda and Sardar Patel.

  • @MrIndoCanadian and ur mama too

  • Black Obama become prezident of USA due to Gandhi. Because Martin Loother King agitatted against Racism Non Violently . So American Amends many racial Laws.

  • Gandhi Exposed >>> /watch?v=uRV8PYDIa8I

  • vermont, state of,hipocrates, nothing but civil rights violations for those "not born instate, "flatlanders, inflection is nigger, just like 60s native vermonters lie through teeth ,that discrimination via flatlander hate-ing is non existant

  • एम. के. गांधी ने भारतीय दलित के लोगों नाम दिया "वेश्या के बच्चे "

Gandhi had said Indian Dalit People Harijan means "Children of Prostitute"

  • Gandhi was totally fabricated leader and saint. Baniya Birla was behind this to make him the Freedom fighter. Today's Indian history is totally congress fake history. Whoever with congress they became hero and whoever not with congress became villain. Understand the fact and real history. Gandhi became leader because of Congress and Baniy Birla advertisement.

  • @SriSrishankaracharya what? i mean really, were you drunk when you submitted this comment? Nehru I understand exploited the issue of Independence for placing his own family in power but Gandhi? I know he didn't. And so does the world. You betta hit that textbook and get prepping for life.

  • Hello Gentleman I am only exposing the truth because I believe in the Truth only , that is my responsibility as Indian, people should know who are real hero and fake hero. Pleas accept the truth. Whatever I am saying that is 100% true. Now it is up to you, accept truth or don't accept.

  • Read the book Dr. B.R. Ambedkar written "What Gandhi and his Congress have done for untouchable"

  • Gandhi used to sleep naked with his own 12 year old nice. When Nathu Ram wa Jailed before death Sentence, he engraved on the walls that " Gandhi raped Nathu's sister " during his celebacy test which he often used to fail. What a shittty things he was in which no person of his age was indulged in .Gandhi was a Pervert and Pedophile. Watch his own grandson admitting Gandhi's pervert acts

  • @SriSrishankaracharya Maybe he had done so, still you can not disregard or ignore the idea he perpetrated. He may not be a perfect/ideal human, but hey, that no body is.

Dats the problem with folks like you who like to paint black on anything that shines.

Do try to understand his IDEAs, asshole.Gandhi is dead! His ideas survives.Contemplate whether these are good enough to hold world together or not.Grow your brain rather pasting such stupid comments with boasted authenticity.

  • @MrBeanage Amen!

  • People here hating on eachother shut you your mouth and live a happy life or stick the hate up your backside, where it came from.

Both of these men are epical leaders and world changers who are held up high above others. We're blessed to have had them both.

  • India used violence to integrate the country, which is diametrically opposite of Gandhian philosophy.

  • MLK was one trouble-making pain-in-the-ass SON-OF-A-BITCH !! Good Riddance !!

  • @infox1000 continuing on when the ANC was formed in 1910 i think by John L. Dube gandhi became friends with him and for the first time the black africans and indians got together for the land act of 1912 infact Dube later said "We have seen and heard a great man whose knowledge is equal to that of the foremost statesmen of our day, and he is a black man." basically every community was fighting for themselves because they had different agenda's.

  • @infox1000 Gandhi was not racist. he took a stand maybe wrongly now against the black african because he saw no other way for his people to get what they want. you could argue that indians and blacks together (1.3mill) could have done a lot. who knows. trying to be seperate from other communities doesnt make you a racist. there was no common agenda for both blacks and indians. indians were there because of mass immigration Ind didnt want stay in SA just to work there they had a homeland.

  • 36606

  • @infox1000: Before Gandhi came back to India to fight for independence and against caste, he led non violent protests against the treatment of black and colored people in South Africa. He was beaten and imprisoned in South Africa.

Gandhi never called any one kaffir. Kaffir is an Arabic word (which he wouldn't have used for many reasons), and I suspect you're muslim and trying to put down a big friend of Islam. Well, Gandhi would send you love and blessings.

  • infox1000 - Before he came back to India and fought for Indian independence and abolition of caste, he led non violent protests against the treatment of black and colored people in South Africa. He was beaten and imprisoned in South Africa.

I'm not sure why you're saying all this, but Gandhi never called any one kaffir. Kaffir is an Arabic word any way, and I suspect you're muslim and trying to put down a big friend of Islam. Well, Gandhi would send you love and blessings anyway.

  • infox1000 - please read about Gandhi's life before you accuse him of racism. Before he came back to India and fought for Indian independence and abolition of caste, he led non violent protests against the treatment of black and colored people in South Africa. He was beaten and imprisoned in South Africa.

  • gandhi is not a racist! haha he was a brown man who was trying to stop whites taking over his country! he had very high education infact he was in england and went home to india to stop whites.... watch one of the historic movie clips of gandhi (made up ones haha) infact if it wasn't for gandhi india would hav been in slavery! but an indian did stand up! THAT WAS GANDHI and he was shot dead like malcolm X and MLK....

  • Jesus said i`m the way.

  • Reparations ?? What the hell do you call decades of WELFARE & FOOD STAMPS for the NIGGERS ? Enough is enough !!

  • What a shame that people have no knowledge about real Gandhi.Gandhi was a high caste hindu who used to sleep with young girls of low caste hindus. This is written in the biographi of Gandhi. Therefore he became murdered.these people who comment on such personalities are only hypocrates who just want to sit in the frontlines of gathering.Very very sad

  • If not for NIGGERS, There would be no AIDS !!

  • @valona4u What?

  • @valona4u actually you ignorant whatever you are. the african continent was cut up into many faiths and religions so today on the west of africa you have catholic africans from the beligum and french empires and they are told by there church not to use condoms hence the huge spread of aids the UN has tried to tell the pope this but he feels for now that he cant change his church but when he does he'll sure to let us know. i thought i would enlighten you.

  • I can't fathom why the great Dr King would be inspired by a sick, perverted man who thought of him as nothing more than a "lazy Kaffir"?

  • what kind of idiots who thinks gandhi hated black ppl are u guys fucked or wut go to the library and study about gandhi before u post false informaton

  • i mean Gandhi could have cared less about black people.

  • @armywife2248 you are not getting the message of martin luther king having been influenced by ghandi, its just the same like when a star or an icon influences you, they also care less about you but even though you are influenced by them

  • @armywife2248 he was the nicest man ever walked this planet this UNIVERSE gandhi was a good man not a racist

  • @offaboff do your research por favor!

  • @futurehalloffamer suck my dick "por favor!"

  • @offaboff dumb bitch, u mad cuz ur wrong....go listen 2 Waka Flocka u ignorant basterd

  • @futurehalloffamer your calling me dumb, you can't spell for shit, so im not the "ignorant bastard" fucker.

Wacka Flocka? i don't know wtf your talking about, and i'm not wrong, he was not a racist dumbfuck...

  • @offaboff yes im calling you dumb, i spell one word wrong and i can't spell? like i told you before, do some research dumb ass cause his stage name is "Waka flocka" google it homie

    l

  • @futurehalloffamer 1 word? ok let's se

    "cuz" "u" "ur" "basterd"

not 1 word idiot, and i'm not your "Homie"

  • @futurehalloffamer 1 word? ok let's see

    "cuz" "u" "ur" "basterd"

not 1 word idiot, and i'm not your "Homie"

  • @offaboff it's called slang, u've never heard of it? you probably don't even have a high school diploma, so leave me alone, i won't respond anymore, regardless of what u write

    enjoy your life

  • @futurehalloffamer Actually no, it's called bad grammar

  • @armywife2248 Why do you say this?

  • It's ironic, because Ghandi looked down on black people.

  • @mushroomcloudy -- Im sorry but you are possibly the most retarded person on earth.

  • @mushroomcloudy where the hell did you get that from, ghandi was rejected by white south africans and he found refuge by black people in south africa, get your facts straight, ghandi hates blöack peole, thats one of the most dumbest things i have ever heared in my life and i have heard a lot

  • @mushroomcloudy your right Ghandi did look down on black folks, but too bad most of these fools where brainwashed about Him, George Washington, Christopher Columbus, the list goes on....

  • it's a sad thing MLK never lived to realize who Gandhi really was.

  • @armywife2248 -- what do you mean?

  • Not to be knocking t good that both men did and I confess to not having any first hand knowledge of these assertions, but both of these men were known to have flaws. M.l. King was know for liking young ladies inappropriately. And Gandhi was known for not believing that his ideas of justice extended to everyone I understand that he never considered it at all a concern that racism in S. Africa against blacks be ended, but instead only racidm against all Indian people living there.

  • @MrDustock laughing from your back hole

  • @MrDustock noone cares what hatemongers think. Many intelligent and educated people world over have dedicated their lives to his philosophy. The whole world knows him, You are nothing

  • @MrDustock hey idiot, you are the one opposing everyone who rebelled against government. Shame on you for spreading lies.

  • @MrDustock are you educated enough to have read it?

  • real racists even call MLK and gandhi racists

  • Comment removed

  • We should make sure we know enough and then only comment.... you should not hate or love gandhi because u have read a comment here or you have seen a movie..... Read about him ALOT.....Read his books......may be 5-6 months study.....then make comment ......that wud b gud for new readers......Gandhi was too good for earth.....

  • MAHATMA GANDHI THE GREATES MAN EVER TO GRACE THIS EARTH!

  • @smoketanian The greatest man to ever grace this earth is a racist? I highly doubt that.

  • @byanycost2 Are you saying tha Gandhi was a racist? If so..why?

  • @byanycost2 I wonder do u even know the meaning of racist ??

  • @smoketanian i didnt say he was a racist these idiots are saying he was...and if you think about it logically a man as clever as MLK would not have followed a racist after reading all of his material! everyman has his flaws and gandhi never claimed to be a saint but he was along with Mlk and ppl of that stature the best!

  • @smoketanian Gandhi was a racist though and MLK most likely didn't know about it because most people don't. Gandhi is a saint to most people th same way King is seen as a saint despite his many flaws.

  • an eye for an eye will end up making the whole world blind.

    -gandhi

    ;)

  • the new thing is that black people are racist against them selfs...i dont think that kings vision of america.

  • MLK is dumb! Ghandi hated blacks. Supported Hitler and a pedo. A disgusting individual.

  • wow all you people who believe something just because it was taught that way to you and I'm the ignorant one. MLK didn't get the truth about Gandhi either, he got the sugary story that we all know but anyone who does their own research and actually look at his documents knows he's a caste minded Indian racist. Hell the man wasn't even non-violent he took part in the war against Blacks during the Bambatha Rebellion (Zulu war) and once again he wrote about it. Educate yourself search Gandhi racist

  • @CostlyChris you are full of shit my friend...the only part gandhi played in the zulu rebellion was giving aid to wounded soldiers..even the zulus! in his own words he was disgusting about the massacer and deeply oposed it read is autobiography and go do some research you dumb fool! lmao

  • Gandhi? a racist? no way man.. He rejected collectivism... I would pickup a book and do some research before passing judgment...

There's a quote by Martin Luther King that pretty much sums up your mentality Chris. "Nothing in the world is more dangerous than sincere ignorance and conscientious stupidity."

    He was right.

  • @Itsaneiljohnsonthing Did you ever read his Collective Works? Gandhi used words like animal and kaffir to describe blacks. If anything you need to do some research on the man.

  • @Itsaneiljohnsonthing Ghandi was racist but many were back then. MLK made a brave stand against racist Americans, but sadly in later life he turned to communism and the exploitation of the poor that socialism represents.

  • @warriorprince1010 it's funny how whites call gandhi a racist now. Typical whity liars. They also never forget to remind how blacks kill blacks in africa when you point to their racism

  • @Itsaneiljohnsonthing well said man

  • @Itsaneiljohnsonthing @Itsaneiljohnsonthing Dumb ass its a proven fact that Gandhi was a racist. Hes written numerous articles stating that Africans were sub-human and inferior to Whites and Indians while he lived in South Africa, so if anyone here is ignorant its you.

I think your the one that should "pick up a book" buddy.

  • @linkyz102 and you do realize he said that in his earlier years and he later changed his opinion right?

  • Gandhi was a racist but I guess King didn't do his research.

  • @CostlyChris LOL where were u, when those great people were alive? still inside your fathers dick?

It shows thaty on youtube even dog shits can comment.

  • @kashsoldier yeah and that was located in your mom's mouth around that time, I lost a few potential brothers but I survive and here we are. Now do you have a intelligent response or are you just going to berate me for shading light on a common misconception.

  • @CostlyChris How do you know all of these things. And I think we can say that he was mroe than a suck up...I think.

  • @CostlyChris Dear CostlyChris, I have reason to believe you are full of bullshit. I'm not going to comment on how you think Gandhi felt about black people, but where exactly the hell do you get off calling Gandhi a pedophile? Particularly when it is a well known fact that to focus on activism, he took the vow of brahmacharya, in which he vowed to abstain from sex, even with his wife.

  • 1. Martin Luther learned and was inspired by Gandhi.

    2. Gandhi was inspired by the Great American writer and Philosopher of civil Disobedience. Henry David Thoreu. Yes It was Thoreu who wrote about civil disobedience after US President Polk waged war with Santa Ana to grab Mexican Land.

    3. Henry David Thoreou was himself influenced by the Hindu Text Baghwat Gita. Read Walden Pond.

    Full circle eh?

  • So sad that the children of MLK's movement have become bigots...long live the NAACP...pfft!

  • King's nonviolent approach is more reasonable than a violent reaction to injustice or brutal treatment. The violent method to obtaining freedom is a method of suicide. When looking at the very slim odds of winning a physical battle against the white man who has all the advanced weaponry, a diplomatic approach makes more sense. You can't win a battle with stones against bombs. King knew this.

  • Gandhi hated passive resistance. He found passivity as a weapon of the weak. Does King seems to think Gandhi supported passive resistance, or is it just me?

  • @Termin8trix Neither King nor Gandhi considered nonviolence to be the same as passive resistance. There is a video on here, where King articulates the difference. Passive resistance is to essentially do nothing. It's when a mistreated person curses his oppressors yet never organizes to bring about change. Nonviolent social resistance to very active. You confront the oppressor head on and take the blows, water hoses, jail etc.

  • if MLK knew about how Gandhi was a fukin racist and did not like africans sikhs and low caste hindus

he would have not been influenced by him

if only he knew that and that gandhiz bitch ass wrote letters to hitler praising him in his "service to the fatherland"

theres hella shit on gandhi that the indian gov. hides from us but the truth will come out soon very very soon

  • @Amriot you're a fucking retard and liar

  • @buzzin1975 go look it up fuker go learn da other side of history dat iz hidden 4m us

  • @Amriot Go learn English first, you stupid dumbfuck.

  • @buzzin1975 kiss my ass dumbass dont get mad me cause your idol gandhi was a pervert racist and killer of the real freedom fighters
